Alexander G. Jasman died Saturday at St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark. He was 77.
He was born in New York City and lived in Clark for 33 years before moving to Scotch Plains five years ago.
He had been a court reporter for the past 45 years.
He was president of William C. O'Brien Associates Inc. of Springfield.
He was past president of the Certified Shorthand Reporters Association of New Jersey, which presented him in 1995 with a lifetime achievement award.
He was the 1988 recipient of the Legal Services of New Jersey Equal Justice Medal for his pro-bono work. He was the 1994 recipient of the National Court Reporters Association Pro Bono Award.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a past president and member of the board of trustees of the Kiwanis Club of Clark.
He was a member of the board of trustees of the Gran Centurion Club of Clark.
He was a member of Republican clubs on the national, state and local level.
His first wife, Angela Voyadjoglou Jasman, died in 1986.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marguerite Voynick; two daughters, Diana Marcantonio of Clark and Vicki Read of North St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Michael C. of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; four stepsons, John S. Voynick Jr. of Upper Montclair, Dr. Brian T. Voynick and Thomas M. Voynick, both of Mendham, and Glenn R. Voynick of the Iselin section of Woodbridge; a sister, Marion Stampone of Bangor, Pa.; a brother, George of Easton, Pa., and eight grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Helen R.C. Church, Westfield. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements are by Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.

DOROTHY M. DOLAN, AGE 88, RAHWAY

Dorothy M. Dolan died Saturday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was 88.
She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and lived in Rahway before moving to Pine Beach 35 years ago.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Pine Beach Chapel and taught Sunday school there for 35 years.
She was a former member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Rahway, and its Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors are her husband, William; a son, William of Hazlet; a daughter, Muriel Kent of Phoenixville, Pa., six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Burial will be at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
EDWARD THOMAS JR., AGE 70, LINDEN

Edward Thomas Jr. died Thursday at home. He was 70.
He was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Rahway before moving to Linden in 1995.
He retired in 1989 after 11 years as a clerk for the Union County Prosecutor's Office in Elizabeth.
He had been owner of E&S Lounge in Roselle for 26 years.
He was a Democratic County committeeman in Rahway.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 499, Rahway.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Roselle.
He was a member of Free & Accepted Masons Acacia Lodge 23, Roselle.
Surviving are his wife, the former Audrey Williams; a son, Carl E. Sr. of Woodbridge; three daughters, Paula of Perth Amboy, Gail C. Henderson of the Somerset section of Franklin and Kim Thomas-Turner of Rahway; two brothers, Ronald of Somerset and Otis of Rahway; a sister, Mary Harris of Irvington; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1002 Rivington St., Roselle. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. Arrangements are by the G.G. Woody Funeral Home, 206 E. Eighth Ave., Roselle.
TERESA B. LUBAS, AGE 71, UNION

Teresa B. Majewska Lubas died Friday at home. She was 71.
She was born in Poland and immigrated to the United States, settling in Newark. She moved to Union 24 years ago.
She retired in 1983 as a supervisor after 25 years at Bell Telephone Co. in Newark.
She was a communicant of St. Casimir's R.C. Church in Newark and a member of its Rosary Society.
Surviving are her husband, Mieczyslaw; a son, Richard J.; three sisters in Poland, and two grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Haeberle & Barth Colonial Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Casimir's R.C. Church. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
ANN C. MANNING, AGE 85, BAYONNE

Ann Cousins Manning died Thursday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 85.
She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne.
She retired in 1973 after 30 years as a restaurant manager for F.W. Woolworth Co. in Elizabeth.
She was a communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Bayonne and a member of its Altar-Rosary Society.
She belonged to four senior citizens clubs.
She is survived by a son, William of Bayonne; a daughter, Ann Dunn of the Iselin section of Woodbridge; four sisters, Alice Dautrick and Josephine Murphy, both of Bayonne, Marge Macavoy of Roselle and Betty Parkinson of Clifton; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's R.C. Church. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Arrangements are by the O'Brien Funeral Home, 984 Ave. C., Bayonne.
ISABEL ELWARD, AGE 97, NEWARK

Isabel Van De Zere Elward died Tuesday at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in East Orange. She was 97.
She was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Roselle before moving to Newark 33 years ago.
She had been a nurse's aide for many years.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Elizabeth.
She was a member of the choir at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Elizabeth.
Her husband, Henry, died in 1952; a son, Henry Jr., also is deceased.
Surviving are three daughters, Helen Edmundo of Newark, Jean Wilfred and Marilyn Elward; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, North Broad Street at Chestnut Street, Elizabeth. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden.
Arrangements are by the G.G. Woody Funeral Home, 206 E. Eighth Ave., Roselle.
