Farmingdale resident Carol Louise Anderson, formerly of Manasquan, died Tuesday, May 22 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was 74 years old.
Born in Point Pleasant, Mrs. Anderson lived in Manasquan before moving to Farmingdale 17 years ago. She was employed as a clerk with the Monmouth County Board of Social Services, Freehold.
She was a member of the Manasquan United Methodist Church and the churchıs Quilting Circle.
She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Manasquan Hook & Ladder Fire Company No. 1, and the Surf & Sand Trailer Travel Club.
She was predeceased in 1982 by her husband, David Anderson, and in 1932 by her brother, James. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, James S., Wickenburg, Ariz., Barry D. and Gail, Farmingdale, and Richard A. and Doris, Lakewood; three sisters, Marilyn Patterson, Manasquan, Judy Bishop, Arizona, and Vickie Montone, Toms River; and five grandchildren, Laura and Lorna Fucetola, Laura and Matt Robinson, and Christopher Merriman. Funeral arrangements were from the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.

Catherine M. Purcell

Sea Girt resident Catherine M. Purcell died Sunday, May 27 in her home.
She was 100 years old.
Born in Hoboken, Miss Purcell lived in Weehawken before moving to Sea Girt 20 years ago.
She earned a bachelorıs degree from Montclair State College, and a masterıs degree from Seton Hall University.
She was employed for 40 years as a teacher in Weehawken, retiring in 1961.
After her retirement, she was a world traveller.
She was a communicant of St. Mark Church, Sea Girt, and a member of the parish Rosary Society.
She was a former member of the Juvenile Conference Committee, Weehawken, and the Advisory Council of the Weehawken Adult School.
She was predeceased by her sister, Grace Jaeger.
Surviving is one niece, Patricia Hannan, North Bergen.
Funeral arrangements were from the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.
Isaac H. Reiff
County Under Sheriff
South Belmar resident Isaac ³Ike² H. Reiff died Tuesday, May 22 in his sonıs home in Howell.
He was 85 years old.
Born in Warren, Pa., Mr. Reiff moved to South Belmar in 1949.
He was employed as the Monmouth County Under Sheriff, before retiring.
He was a communicant of St. Rose Church, Belmar.
He was a former mayor of South Belmar, and a member of the South Belmar Democratic Club. He was a member of the Belmar VFW and American Legion.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was predeceased in 1987 by his wife, Amelia M.
Surviving are five sons, John, and Thomas, both of Wall Township, Edward, Pittsburgh, Robert, Howell, and William, Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Marilyn George, Charlotte, N.C.; five brothers, Richard, Marvin, Warren, Franz, and Frank, and one sister, Rozella Andrea, all of Warren, Pa.; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were from the Reilly Funeral Home, Belmar.

Anne Marie Neary

Spring Lake Heights resident Anne Marie Nelson Neary died Tuesday, May 22 in her home. She was 88 years old.
Born in Bayonne, Mrs. Neary lived in Teaneck and Colts Neck before moving to Spring Lake Heights 23 years ago.
She was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School, Jersey City, and Jersey City State Teachers College. She was a homemaker.
She was active in the Mothers Guild Academy of the Holy Angels, Demarest, and the Childrenıs Ward of Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck.
She was predeceased in 1995 by her husband, Dr. Edward R. Neary, in 1945 by her son, Edward R. Jr., and by her two brothers, Edward A. Jr. and Howard J. Nelson.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane J. and Paul W. Ewing, Brick Township, and Patricia A. and Michael J. Baumann, Newburyport, Mass.; grandchildren, Kathleen and Joseph Staunton, Paul Edward Ewing, Kevin and Megan Ewing, Michael and Danielle Ewing, and Mary Ellen Ewing; and two step-grandchildren, Elizabeth P. and Timothy Baumann.

Memorial Service
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Michael Burke, Brielle.
It will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 in Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mantoloking Road, Brick Township. Mr. Burke died May 10.
