Wall Township resident Roberta E. Kunkel Sytko died Thursday, Nov. 8 in the Medical Center of Ocean County Brick Hospital. Born in Livingston, Mrs. Sytko lived in Irvington before moving to Wall 17 years ago. She was employed for 15 years as a violations clerk with the Wall Township Municipal Court, before retiring in July 2001. She was an active member of WHIP, Wall. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Anthony P. Sytko; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Maggie, Garwood, and Michael and Sally, Brick Township; one daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Kevin Ogden, Point Pleasant; two sisters, Ruth Deck, Toms River, and Dorothea Maurus, Brick; and five grandchildren, Anthony, Angela, Christopher, Jonathan, and Chanse.

Angelo F. Taborelli

Brielle resident Angelo F. Taborelli died Friday, Nov. 9 in his home. He was 91 years old. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Taborelli lived in Union City before moving to Brielle 45 years ago. He was the owner of the Summit Tool Company, Union City, for many years. He was a communicant of St. Denis Church, Manasquan. He was an avid boater and fisherman.
He was predeceased in 1996 by his wife, Virginia Taborelli.
Funeral arrangements were from the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.

Theodore H. Collora
Company Co-owner
Manasquan resident Theodore H. Collora died Saturday, Nov. 10 in his home. He was 78 years old. Born in Plainfield, Mr. Collora lived in Brielle for 45 years before moving to Manasquan three years ago.
He was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He was the co-owner for 40 years, of Jersey Concrete, Toms River, along with his brother-in-law, Christian Fischer. He attended the First Presbyterian Church, Manasquan. He was a member of the Manasquan River Golf Club for 48 years.
He was a Marine Corp veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant. Surviving are his wife Gloria Fischer Collora; one son, T. William, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Carl Nordell, Point Pleasant Beach; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene H. and Peggy, Pensacola, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Beverly H. and Patrick Flynn, Columbus, Ind.; and four grandchildren Peter J., Carrie E., and Carl Nordell III, and Kristen L. Collora.
Funeral arrangements were from the OıBrien Funeral Home, Wall Township. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mary V. Leonard

Sea Girt resident Mary Virginia Leonard died Friday, Oct. 19 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was 54 years old. Born in Elizabeth, Ms. Leonard moved to Sea Girt in 1977. She was a graduate of St. Benedictıs Academy, Elizabeth, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Monmouth County Vocational School, Long Branch. She was employed as a registered nurse with the Medical Center of Ocean County Brick Hospital, before retiring this year.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Richard J. Leonard Sr., and two brothers, Richard J. and Thomas E. Leonard.
Surviving are a friend and longtime companion, Timothy Hughes, Sea Girt; three sons and one-daughter-in-law, Jay and Kirsten Price, Manasquan, Bryan Price, Fort Hood, Texas, and Sean Price, Sea Girt; one brother, William Leonard, Union and Sea Girt; a cousin, Thomas F. Brennan, Sea Girt; and one grandson, Aidan Patrick.
Funeral arrangements were from the Meehan Funeral Home, Spring Lake Heights.

Joan A. McKenna

Point Pleasant resident Joan A. McKenna, whose children live in Belmar and Wall Township, died Saturday, Nov. 10 in Monmouth Center for Hospice Care, Long Branch. She was 61 years old. Born in New York City, Mrs. McKenna lived in the Shore area for many years before moving to Point Pleasant two years ago. She was a graduate of St. Elizabethıs High School and St. Elizabethıs College, both Convent Station, and earned a masterıs degree from Monmouth College, West Long Branch. She was employed for 32 years as an educator and guidance counselor with Thorn Junior High School, Middletown, retiring two years ago. She had been a model and actress. She was an active member of the NJEA. Mrs. McKenna was an avid traveler, enjoyed golf, swimming, the arts and reading. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph D. and Catherine Allen, and a sister, Catherine Furey.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas J. III and Sue, Old Bridge, Daniel J. and Amy, Bay Village, Ohio, Matthew J., Belmar, and his fiance, Maura OıRegan, Patrick T. and Stacy, Stamford, Conn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Meaghan M. and Peter Onulak, Allenwood, Wall, and Midge and Todd Quackenboss, Brick Township; one sister, Martha Seavey, Virginia; her former husband, Thomas J. McKenna II, Jackson; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are from the OıBrien Funeral Home, Wall. A Memorial Mass be be held at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake.

Spring Lake Heights resident Martha Vido Ostrander died Saturday, Nov. 10 in the Medical Center of Ocean County - Brick Hospital. Born in Newark, Mrs. Ostrander lived in Roselle before moving to Spring Lake Heights 25 years ago. She was employed for 40 years as a clerical worker with Prudential Insurance Company, Newark, before retiring.
She was predeceased in 1985 by her husband, Warren L. Ostrander.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Eric Isbrandtsen.
It will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 in St. Andrewıs Episcopal Church, Marblehead, Mass.
Eric was killed in the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attack.
Ericıs grandparents, who are deceased, were Sea Girt residents.
Alfred B. Rooney
Loving Husband & Father
Avon-by-the-Sea resident Alfred B. Rooney died Sunday, Nov. 9 in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth.
He was 67 years old. Born in Avon, Mr. Rooney was a lifelong resident. He was employed for 32 years as a window clerk with the U.S. Post Office, Howell, retiring in 1995. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church, Avon. Mr. Rooney had just returned from a vacation to Paradise Island where he swam with the dolphins. He was an avid diver and fisherman, who imparted his love of nature and the beauty of the world to all who knew him. He was a Navy veteran, serving four years as a member of the Hospital Corps during the Korean War.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Marie Mignoli Rooney; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mark Bauer; his mother, Alma Rooney; one brother, Gary; one sister, Patricia Eberhardt; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Renee, Sean, Dana and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are from the Paul A. McDonough Funeral Home, Belmar. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Elizabeth Church, Avon.
