ELIZABETH "BETTY" KIELKOWSKI, 77, of South Amboy died May 30 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her friend and companion, Matthew Yanas of South Amboy; a nephew and six nieces; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville, with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery.
SHIRLEY A. MERRITT GREENBURY
SHIRLEY A. MERRITT GREENBURY, 69, of East Brunswick, died May 31 in Cranbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Monroe. Her husband, James, died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Greenbury of Edison; three sons, John of East Brunswick, Frank of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and Steven of Edison; three sisters, Wetona Carter of Piscataway, Janet O’Connor of Windham, Maine, and Gwen Clickenger of Linden; and two granddaughters. Services are planned for June 9 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
JENNIFER BANDARICK HASEY
JENNIFER BANDARICK HASEY, 69, of South River, died May 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen A. Acs of South River; a sister, Irene Hartman of Sea Girt; and a grandson. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
LOUIS KONIGSBERG
LOUIS KONIGSBERG, 96, of East Brunswick, died May 23 in Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset section of Franklin. His wife, Edith Feuer Konigsberg, died in 1950. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Stephen of East Brunswick and Dr. Peter of Potomac, Md., and four grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Graveside services were held at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, N.Y. HELEN WILKEN BAUER
HELEN WILKEN BAUER, 93, of Sayreville, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 23 in Francis E. Parker Home, New Brunswick. Her husband, Hans Bauer, died in 1979, and a daughter, Joan Hinchliffe, died in 1995. Surviving are a son, William Bauer of Sayreville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
ISADORE BIERBAUM
ISADORE BIERBAUM, 84, of East Brunswick, died May 26 in Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset section of Franklin. His wife, Marion, died in 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Schrob of East Brunswick and Rita Brounstein of Springfield; three brothers, Harry, Abe and Norman; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge.
BRYAN M. DZERGOSKI
BRYAN M. DZERGOSKI, 31, of Sayreville, died May 24 at home. Surviving are his parents, Dennis M. and Alfreda Miara Dzergoski, with whom he lived; a brother, Chris Dzergoski of Spotswood; and his maternal grandmother, Adele Miara of Sayreville. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
STELLA GODLEWSKI EHNOT
STELLA GODLEWSKI EHNOT, 87, of South River, died May 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Gorzyca, and by her second husband, Walter Gunia. Surviving are three sisters, Martha Dombinski, Mary Toro and Irene De Conie, all of South River; and two stepdaughters, Lorraine Gunia of East Brunswick and Patricia Shorppe of Jensen Beach, Fla. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Charles Fisher
FLEMINGTON — Charles Russell Fisher, 88, died Saturday June 3, at home.
Born Ringoes, he moved to Flemington in 1937.
Mr. Fisher was a funeral director for more than 60 years at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home.
Mr. Fisher was elected in 1955 to the Board of Directors of the former Flemington National Bank & Trust Co. He served as chairman until 1991.
He was a member and elder of Flemington Presbyterian Church, a 60-year member of Flemington Lions Club, a 50-year member of Copper Hill Country Club of Flemington; a 60-year member and past master of Darcy Lodge 37 F&AM of Flemington; and a member of the Clinton Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Flemington; the A.A. Scottish Rite of Trenton; the Crescent Temple Shrine of Trenton; Flemington Elks Lodge 1928 and Skytop Lodge, Skytop, Pa.
Mr. Fisher received the Israeli Bond Award.
He formerly served on the Hunterdon County Mental Health Board.
His professional affiliations included the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association, the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
He graduated from Renouard Mortuary Institute, New York.
Son of the late Russell H. and Ada Holcombe Fisher, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine “Punchy” Oaks Fisher; a son, Charles H. of Flemington; a daughter, Nancy Christie of Delaware Township; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday at Flemington Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.

Jean Bedford
LAMBERTVILLE — Jean Cifelli Bedford, 67, died Friday, June 2, at home.
Born in Doylestown, Pa., she was a longtime Lambertville resident.
She worked many years with Union Camp Bag Mill in New Hope, Pa., and most recently at Lambertville Station Inn.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Lambertville.
Daughter of the late Simeraldo and Amy Pettit Cifelli, she is survived by a son, Daniel Bedford of Hamilton; a daughter, Denise Houser of Flemington; two sisters, Joyce Eichlin of Lambertville and Ange Bowman of Trenton; three brothers, Dominic of Lambertville, Michael of Manahawkin and Simeraldo of West Amwell Township; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday at Garefino Funeral home, Lambertville. Burial was in the church cemetery.
