Josephine O. "Punchy" Fisher
FLEMINGTON, NJ - Josephine O. “Punchy” Fisher, age 86 years, of Flemington, NJ died on Monday, March 14, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Quakertown, NJ, September 25, 1918, daughter of the late Ernest A. and Edna Brown Oaks, she had resided in Flemington since 1937.
She was a graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1935 and of Churchman’s Business School, Easton, PA. She formerly was bookkeeper and receptionist at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington, NJ for many years.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church and its’ Women’s Association; member of the Flemington Woman’s Club; life member of the Community Garden Club of Hunterdon County; member of the Hunterdon County Soroptimist Club, the Copper Hill Country Club, Raritan Township, NJ, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Her husband, Charles R. Fisher, died in 2000. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. and Elizabeth Fisher of Flemington, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Fisher Christie and John Christie of Delaware Township, NJ; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred F. Oaks of Frenchtown, NJ.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours were held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Percy F. Hewitt
COVINA, CA - Percy F. Hewitt, age 97 years, of Covina, CA, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Foothill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Glendora, CA.
Born in Locktown, NJ, November 15, 1908, son of the late Harvey W. and Alice Hulsizer Hewitt, he had resided in Hunterdon County all his life (Delaware Township and Flemington, NJ) until moving to Covina in 1999
Mr. Hewitt was a Barber for fifty-two years with a barber shop in Sergeantsville, NJ for most of those years and was also a retired employee of Ortho Diagnostics, Raritan, NJ.
A member of the Flemington Baptist Church, Flemington, NJ, he was also a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928 and the Flemington Moose Lodge. Additionbally, for many years Mt. Hewitt was an active volunteer with the Flemington-Raritan Food Pantry and also was a driver for Hunterdon County Senior Services for eleven years..
His first wife, Ethel Niece Hewitt, died in 1970 and his second wife, Frances German Hewitt, died in 1998. A daughter, Elaine Armstrong also died earlier.
Surviving are a son, Alan H. Hewitt, Sr. of Covina, CA; five grandchildren, Alan H. Hewitt, Jr., William Armstrong, Jr., Kevin Armstrong, Lisa Pelchat and Sharon Rutkowski; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be held Monday from 7-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

Paul John Bartolomeo
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Paul John Bartolomeo, age 82 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, January 6, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, May 9, 1923, he was the son of the late Ralph and Julia Taranto Bartolomeo. He had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY, and Milford, PA. He had resided in Raritan Township, NJ, since 1993.
He retired from Epic Chemicals, Metuchen, NJ, in 1985.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Ralph S. Bartolomeo; two brothers; Frank and Vincent Bartolomeo; and two sisters, Emily Sorrentino and Edith Thoman.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Gloria Muscarello Bartolomeo; three daughters; Mary Barneby, of New Haven, CT, Joan Bartolomeo, of Brooklyn, NY, and Kathy Rayborn, of Raritan Township, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bartolomeo, of Westfield, NJ; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-7 PM and Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Joseph R. Vendemio
ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, NJ - Joseph R. Vendemio, age 91 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Valley View Care Center, Alexandria Township, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, September 14, 1914, son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Vendemio, he had formerly resided in the Bronx, NY and had resided in Raritan Township 1976-2004.
He was a retired self-employed upholsterer.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Marie Izzo Vendemio; and a daughter, Sandra Vendemio of Raritan Township, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private and there are no calling hours.
Rosemary Keelen
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Rosemary Keelen, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died suddenly while on vacation on January 9, 2006, in Naples, FL.
Born in Newark, NJ, Auguat 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary McGarrity Smith. She had formerly resided in New Hope, PA.
She was formerly a medical secretary at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
She is survived by her husband, Peter C. Keelen; two sons; James Keelen of Flemington, NJ, and Peter Keelen of Harrisburg, PA; four daughters; Karen Thompson of Pipersville, PA, Susan Silvestro of Stockton, NJ, Maureen Keelen of Croydon, PA, and Marianne Buccigrossi of Kintnersville, PA; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and a loving extended family. Two brothers, Joseph and james Smith, and a sister, Theresa Smith, pre-deceased her.

Rose Mary Conner
EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Rose Mary Conner, age 62 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on January 9, 2006, at her residence.
Born in Washington, DC, March 14, 1943, she was the daughter of John Davis Conner, Sr., of Alexandria, VA, and the late Carolyn Rose Hyatt Conner. She had formerly resided in Princeton, NJ.
She was a 1964 graduate of Smith College, and a member of the Greyhound Club of America.
She was a marketing consultant with American Management Associates, New York, NY.
Surviving, in addition to her father, are a daughter, Karin Hagios, of Yardley, PA; a son, John Hagios, of Charlotte, VT; a sister, Jenny Fitzhugh, of Lusby, MD; two brothers, John Conner, Jr., of Reston, VA, and W. Thomas Conner, of Alexandria, VA.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2006, in Prallsville Mill, Stockton, NJ, at a time to be announced. Interment
was private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Beverly A. Henry
TINTON FALLS, NJ - Beverly A. Henry, age 70 years, of Tinton Falls, NJ, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at her residence.
Born in Trenton, NJ, January 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Pegg Anderson. She had formerly resided in Dennisville, NJ, Bridgewater, NJ, and Flemington, NJ.
She was a 1953 graduate of Flemington High School. She was formerly a pre-school teacher in Pluckemin, NJ. She was a member of the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, Pluckemin, NJ, and also attended the Matawan United Methodist Church, and Christ Church, Martinsville, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-one years, Donald E. Henry, Sr.; three sons; Donald, Jr., of Glen Ridge, NJ, David of Cape May Courthouse, NJ, and Dale of Hamilton, NJ; nine granddaughters; and a cousin, Eva Tharp, of Pittstown, NJ.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, January 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Thoams V. Albert, Sr. and Mabel Wildermuth Albert.
He resided in Pittstown, NJ.
He was the former Secretary of Agriculture for the State of New Jersey.
