HELEN NOONE KOMICK, 85, of South Amboy, died June 6 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Michael J., died in 1993, and a daughter, Patricia Noone Dubil, died in 1979. Surviving are a son, John Noone of Edison; a sister, Catherine Noone Zaza of Arlington, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy.
MARY RAZZANO MARTIN HANS
MARY RAZZANO MARTIN HANS, 93, of South River, died June 3 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her first husband, Oscar Martin, died in 1952, and her second husband, Russell Hans, died in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Paprota, with whom she lived; two sons, Fred Martin of Bradenton, Fla., and Robert Martin of Sayreville; two sisters, Theresa Masiello of Westbury, N.Y., and Kathryn Derent of Sayreville; and eight grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, with a Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

FRANK WIECZORKOWSKI, 67, of Monroe, formerly of Sayreville, died June 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Greta Just Wieczorkowski; a brother, Joseph Wieczorkowski of Manalapan; and a sister, Rita O’Toole of South Amboy. Services were arranged by Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

EDWARD M. POPOFF, 72, of Old Bridge, died June 4 at home. Surviving are two sons, Michael of Emmaus, Pa., and Edward of Orwigsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Boris Popoff of Bayonne and Carl Popoff of Sellersville, Pa.; a sister, Olga Petuch of North Wales, Pa.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

GERTRUDE MATARANGOLO NYERS, 76, of Old Bridge, died June 7 at home. Surviving are her husband, Stephen Nyers; a daughter, Regina Rembert of Monroe; two sons, Stephen Nyers of New Brunswick and Brian Nyers of Old Bridge; two brothers, Rocco Matarangolo of Perth Amboy and Louis Matarangolo of Florida; a sister, Marie Dziedzic of the Parlin section of Sayreville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Old Bridge.

CECELIA MIODUSZEWSKI RUSZALA, 88, of South Amboy, died June 9 in Northern Manor Geriatric Center, New City, N.Y. Her husband, Martin Ruszala, died in 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Veronica "Ronnie" Mallon of New City; a son, Martin Ruszala of South Amboy; two sisters, Sophie Cieslarczyk of South Amboy and Martha Malowicki of Stafford, Va.; three brothers, Joseph Martin of South Amboy, Allen Mioduszewski of South River and Francis Martin of North Brunswick; and a grandson. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

JOHN M. CORVINO, 82, of South Amboy, died June 10 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Quinlan Corvino; a son, John J. Corvino of Brick; a daughter, Debbie Pavlonnis of South Amboy; a sister, Jean Halperin of South Amboy; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were arranged by Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass planned for June 14 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Fords section of Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Amboy First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 328, South Amboy 08879.
ROBERT PAUL THOMAS
ROBERT PAUL THOMAS, 85, of Cliffwood Beach, died June 5 at home. Born in Newark, he moved to Cliffwood Beach 50 years ago. He was head custodian for the Matawan School District for 17 years, before retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4745 in Cliffwood. He was also a member of the Disabled Veterans Association. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Irene Ball Thomas; two daughters, Barbara Thomas of Friendship, N.Y., and Beth Thomas of Tinton Falls; a daughter and a son-in-law, Robin and Thomas Lakin of Pine Plains, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, and a memorial service was held at The Bayview Presbyterian Church in Cliffwood Beach.
ELIZABETH A. BLANCO
ELIZABETH A. BLANCO, 66, of Matawan, died June 7 at home. Born in New Orleans, she lived in Venezuela before moving to Matawan 35 years ago. She was self-employed as a graphic artist for the past 28 years. She was a communicant of St. Clement Roman Catholic Church in Matawan, and a member of the N.J. Business Women’s Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Mariano, in 1974. She is survived by two sons, Mariano of Springfield, and Paul Kenneth of Killeen, Texas; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were by Waitt Funeral Home in Morganville. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Hospice, P.O. ANNARITA SANTOPADRE HENSBERGER, 48, of Union Beach, died June 10 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Italy, she moved to the United States in 1964. She was a mail room supervisor for the medical center for 11 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Union Beach. She is survived by her husband, John Hensberger of Union Beach; two daughters, Michele Leite of Union Beach, and Angela Conover of Keyport; her mother, Anna Maria Santopadre of Union Beach; two brothers, Guilo and Danny Santopadre of Palm Coast, Fla.; and one granddaughter. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
