NORFOLK, VA - Arlene Joyce Hoffman, age 64 years, of Norfolk, VA, died on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Sentra Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA.
Born in Paterson, NJ, February 25, 1943, daughter of the late George C. and Margaret Streelman Curving, she had resided in Norfolk for the past thirty years, having previously lived in Lodi, NJ.
A Homemaker, she was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her grandparents, Cornelius and Emily Whitehead Curving and Jerry and Cornelia Van London Streelman; a sister, Janet E. Reigottie-Saunders; and an infant son, James Albert Costa.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey B. Costa and Joel A. Costa, both of Norfolk, VA; a daughter, Nicole Collene Hoffman of Norfolk, VA; two grandchildren, Jeffrey B. Costa and Elizabeth K. Evans; two brothers, Richard N. Curving of Wayne, NJ and Albert G. Curving of East Amwell Township, NJ; and a sister, Miriam J. Curving of Crawfordville, FL.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Grace Johnson
ANNANDALE, NJ - Grace Johnson, age 69 years, of the Annandale section of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Sunday, March 25, 2007, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Califon, NJ, March 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Elma Sutton.
A homemaker, she had previously resided in Flemington, NJ, and Lambertville, NJ.
Her husband, Vernon Floyd Johnson, Sr., and a son, Vernon Floyd Johnson, Jr., both died in 1999. Surviving are two sons, James Johnson and Charles Johnson, both of Clover, SC; a daughter, Sonia Johnson of Annandale, NJ, and one grandchild.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ.

John Wengryn
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - "Husband, Father, Farmer"
John Wengryn, age 83 years, of Pittstown, NJ (Franklin Township, Hunterdon County), passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Hunterdon Medical Center, Rariatn Township, NJ on Friday, March 30, 2007.
Born in Hillsborough Township, NJ, February 29, 1924, the fourth of ten children of Eva and Peter Wengryn, he grew up and worked on his family farm.
He was a 1942 graduate of Somerville High School and as a youth was active in 4-H, receiving numerous state and national awards.
John was an avid square dancer traveling across the state to attend dances. He received a full scholarship to Rutgers University, but was unable to attend due to World War II.
In 1954, John and his wife, Patricia, started WenHall Farm, a fifty cow herd of holsteins, in North Branch, NJ until 1969 when he and his family moved to Pittstown, NJ where they farmed and raised angus cattle. John also raised pheasants for release.
During the 1960's and 1970's, he was a volunteer 4-H leader for Hunterdon and Somerset counties. For over forty years, he taught raising and showing dairy and beef cattle and for twenty-seven years, he was Head Groundskeeper at Raritan Valley Community College. Active in Franklin Township's Open Space and Agricultural Committees, he was also a member of the American Angus Association.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Patricia Hall Wengryn; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Velma Wengryn of Pleasanton, Iowa; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline Wengryn of Pittstown, NJ and Susan Wengryn Posbergh and Kevin Posbergh of Branchburg, NJ; seven grandchildren, Erin and Chris Posbergh of Branchburg, NJ, Katie, Alison, Sam and Mara Wengryn of Pleasanton, Iowa and Tamara Hatfield of Cedar Creek, TX; three brothers, Peter Wengryn of Somerville, NJ, George Wengryn of Ringoes, NJ and Daniel Wengryn of Hillsborough, NJ; and two sisters, Lillian Phillips of Middlebush, NJ and Mary Wengryn of Hillsborough, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Home Health Services of Hunterdon Medical Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Eugenia V. Simberg
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Eugenia V. Simberg, age 81 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, August 12, 1925, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Antoinette Puiatti Dal Zin, she had resided in Clinton Township for the past twenty years, having previously lived in Sparta, NJ and Paramus, NJ.
A Homemaker and Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale, NJ, Mrs. Simberg was also a member of the Clinton Township Seniors Club, formerly serving as its Secretary. Additionally, she taught computers to seniors at the Hunterdon County Office on Aging and was formerly a Cafeteria Hostess at Robert Hunter School, Raritan Township, NJ.
Her husband of twenty-nine years, William Simberg, died in 1976.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Simberg of Clinton Township, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Leora Simberg of Raritan Township, NJ; and two grandchildren, Lisa Simberg of Raritan Township, NJ and Jonathan Simberg of Randolph, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Josephine Iorio
FANWOOD, NJ - Josephine Iorio, age 93 years, of Fanwood, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at her residence.
Born in New York City, NY, August 6, 1913, daughter of the late Louis and Rose Troisi Ricca, she had resided in Fanwood since 1964, having previously lived in Queens, NY.
She was formerly Chief Clerk for the State of New York Banking Department for over twenty-five years.
Her husband, Ernest Iorio, died in 2001.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Salvatore Bifulco of Wesley Hills, NY; a son, Richard Iorio, M.D. of Readington Township, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Patricia Iorio of Clinton, MA; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The Liturgy of the Word will be said Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Parish, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-10 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Donald O. Peterson
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Donald O. Peterson, age 80 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Friday, March 30, 2007 in Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ where he had resided two years.
Born in Minot, ND, August 13, 1926, son of the late Oscar and Selma Olaf Peterson, he had formerly resided in Toms River, NJ and Flemington, NJ.
A retired taxi driver, Mr. Peterson was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
His wife, Donna Baade peterson, died in 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Rankin of Flemington, NJ and Lorie Herczog of Toms River, NJ; a son, Bruce Peterson of Seaside Heights, NJ; and a granddaughter, Courtney Rankin of Flemington, NJ.
Arrangements and interment are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Helen Culberson
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Helen J. Culberson, age 87 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at her residence.
Born June 16, 1920, daughter of the late William S. and Jane Blagbro Fisher, she was a lifelong resident of Delaware Township.
She was Manager of the Delaware Township School Cafeteria for thirty three years and later worked an additional thirteen years in the food service industry.
Mrs. Culberson was a member of the Flemington Elks Auxiliary; the Red Hat Party Timers; the East Amwell Seniors; the Good Sam/Wandering Gypsies Camping Clubs; and the Sergeantsville Fire Company Auxiliary.
Her husband, George A. Culberson, died in 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Trautman of Stockton, NJ and Georgia "Pinky" Culberson of Flemington, NJ; four grandchildren, Tracey Trautman, Eric Trautman, Teresa Galoppo and Joey Fink; two sisters, Eleanor Russo of Long Island, NY and Florence "Barney" Burenga of Pennington, NJ and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling Hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

George Henry Leu
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - George Henry Leu, age 60 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Montclair, NJ, October 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Freida Ragusa Leu and George Gracie Leu of Toms River, NJ and had resided in Raritan Township since 1990. He was raised in Essex Fells, NJ and lived for many years in South Orange, NJ.
Mr. Leu earned his B.A. in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ and an M.S. in Education from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ.
He was formerly Marketing Manager for over twenty years at Acme Tube Stainless Steel Company, Somerset, NJ and for the past five years was a Physics Teacher at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ.
An avid golfer and member of various Radio Control Clubs, including the Western Jersey Radio Flyers, Mr. Leu was the Advisor at Hunterdon Central Regional High School to both the Science Olympiad and Radio Control Clubs. Additionally, he was a columnist for Model Airplane News and Jet Hanger International.
Surviving are his wife of twenty-five years, Nina Prezioso Leu; a daughter and son-in-law, Stefany Briante Pan and Daniel Pan of Jersey City, NJ; a daughter, Kristen Leu of Raritan Township, NJ; his father and step-mother, George Gracie and Carol Leu of Toms River, NJ; a brother, Byron Leu and wife Elizabeth Leu of Franklinton, NC; a nephew, Barry Prezioso, a niece, Jennifer Leu and a nephew David Leu and wife Justine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
