FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Agnes R. Anderson, age 91 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Rahway, New Jersey, July 31, 1920, daughter of the late Richard Denbleyker, who served in the US Navy during the Boxer Rebellion, and Agnes Hamborg Denbleyker, she had resided in Raritan Township and Franklin Township since 1968, having formerly resided in Everittstown, NJ.
She was formerly secretary for the Hunterdon County Civil Defense Offices and was a 1938 graduate of Frenchtown High School.
Formerly married
to LeRoy Anderson, she was predeceased by half brothers, Edward Denbleyker and John Arnold, and a half sister, Florence Denbleyker.
She is survived by a niece, Cara Biach of Cranford, New Jersey; a nephew, James Denbleyker of Montana; a great nephew, John Myles Johnson of Spokane, Washington; a great niece, Lynn Simpson of Jackson, Tennessee; and a long time friend, Roy Brown of Flemington, New Jersey.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stephanie M. Coster, age 57 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at her home.
Born in Huntington, NY, November 21, l954, daughter of the late Michael and Mary McErlane Sikora, she had resided here for five years.
A homemaker, she is survived by her husband, Harold Coster; a son, Michael Coster of Burlington, VT; a daughter, Caitlynn Coster, currently a student at the University of Delaware; and a sister, Lysa DeTroy.

Vasgen "Ben" "Poppy" Bakerian
READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Vasgen "Ben" Bakerian, known to many as "Poppy, " of Belmar, NJ, died on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Readington Township, NJ at the home of his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, surrounded by them all.
Born in Sioux City, IA, June 12, 1929, son of the late Michael and Hayguhe Sarkisian Bakerian, he had resided in Belmar, NJ for many years before moving to Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ a year ago.
A former member of the Elks and affiliated for many years with St. Stepanos Armenian Church, Elberon, NJ, Mr. Bakerian was a Manager with CVI Food Service, Plainfield, NJ for over forty years.
He was United States Army veteran, having faithfully served his country during the Korean War.
His wife, Margaret Boyajian Bakerian, with whom he joined hands in marriage on November 18, 1956 in Union City, NJ, died on September 30, 2002.
Surviving are his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Robert Michael and Joanne Bakerian; his three cherished grandchildren, Robert, Allison and Lukas Bakerian; and his sister, Lucy Morton of Troy, NY.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne's Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Road, Wall Township, NJ. Friends and Relatives are asked to meet directly at the cemetery on Monday.

Stella Riegel
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stella Riegel, age 84 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her home.
Born in Whitehouse Station, NJ, July 15, 1927, daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Slizewski, she had lived in Delaware Township since 1960.
A longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Delaware Township, NJ, she was formerly a machine operator at Lipton Tea Company, Raritan Township, NJ for twenty years.
A son, David Riegel, died in 1970.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, George Riegel; two daughters, Eunice Riegel of Hellertown, PA and Susanne Stiller of Slatington, PA; two sons, James Riegel of Mertztown, PA and Michael Riegel of Kingwood Township, NJ; a brother, Henry Slizewski of Lenore, NC; a sister, Carol Smith of Fredericksburg, VA; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will take place Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

Donna Marie Caputo
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Donna Marie Caputo, age 48 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, Februrary 1, 2012 at her home.
Born in the Bronx, NY, July 23, 1963, daughter of Ann Marie Fontana of North Palm Beach, FL and the late Donald J. Caputo, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past eight years, having formerly lived in Flemington and Hackettstown, NJ.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Christopher Jeffrey (C.J.) Caputo of Raritan Township, NJ; and a brother, Donald Caputo of Key West, FL.
Funeral services and interment are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Mathematics Teacher at South Plainfield High School
Gordon Charles Smith, age 76 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Lyndon, Vermont on June 6, 1935, he was the son of Gerald Henry Smith and Georgia Craig Smith. He grew up in Lyndonville, Vermont and was a graduate of Lyndon Institute where he later taught math, English, and Latin. He earned a BA from the University of Vermont with a triple major in math, English and Latin; an MA in Mathematics from the University of Vermont; an MS in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY; and a Doctor of Education in Mathematics from Teachers College, Columbia University in NY City.
He served in the US Army in Frankfurt, Germany as chief statistician for the Third Armored Division. He taught math as an instructor at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT; an assistant professor at Norwich University in Northfield VT; an adjunct instructor at NJIT in Newark, NJ; and was employed by the South Plainfield school system for 28 years as a math teacher and Coordinator of Mathematics and Music before retiring in 1999.
He lived in North Plainfield, NJ for 17 years before moving to Flemington, NJ 21 years ago.
Dr. Smith was a multi-talented person. He enjoyed playing the piano; and had played violin, clarinet, and guitar as well. He loved to paint and when he lived in Vermont exhibited some of his paintings in juried shows. He enjoyed crafts, and was an excellent cook and baker. He also loved to garden. He was an avid skier and fisherman when he lived and taught in Vermont.
He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Flemington, NJ where he had served on the vestry. He was a past member and convener of the Flemington Chapter of the Order of Saint Luke, practicing laying on of hands and prayer for those in need of healing.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of forty years Frances P. Smith; his daughter Sarah Sajorda and grandsons Kyle and Kaden Sajorda of Hillsborough, NJ; his daughter Jennifer Alworth and son-in-law Christopher Alworth of Howell, NJ; a brother Gerald H. Smith Jr. of Lake Geneva, WI; a cousin Virginia Hodges of East Haven, VT; and a mother-in-law, Lillian Puzio of Hillsborough, NJ.
Funeral Services will take place Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Calvary Episcopal Church, Broad Street and New York Avenue, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
