Dale Ann Patterson
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Dale Ann Patterson, age 68 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, August 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Dorothy Snyder Patterson, Sr.
Dale was a longtime secretary at Hunterdon Central High School and a member of the NJEA, NEA, and the Hunterdon County Retired Educators Association. Dale served on the HCHS Class of 1961 Reunion Committee since graduating.
An avid bowler, she was a member of the Friday Night Bowling League for over forty years, serving as league President from 1982- Present. Dale also bowled in the Wednesday Night and Monday Night Mixed Leagues and in numerous Pro-Am and national tournaments.
Dale always enjoyed her Thursday luncheons with her friends at Perkins.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Susan Patterson of Raritan Township, NJ; two nieces, Sherri Rakoci of Monroe, NC, and Georgia Higgins of Charlotte, NC; a nephew, Stanley Yates of Pensacola, FL; her grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Lexi Rakoci, Tyler Higgins and Jackson Yates; and her beloved cats Benji, Teddy, Bear, and Willie.

Marie Antoinette Grande
RARITAN TOWNSHIP - Marie Antoinette Grande, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, NY.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 5, 1941, daughter of the late Paul and Grace DiPaola, she had formerly resided in Huntington, NY for twenty-five years and had resided here for thirty-five years.
She was a registered nurse formerly at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. She was President of the Hunterdon Chapter of Womens Aglow International.
Surviving are her husband of fifty years, Joseph G. Grande; two sons and two daughters-in-law Mario and Kimberly Grande and Joseph J. and Janine Grande, all of Perkasie, PA; four sisters, Rosalie Lauatto, Agatha Cilmi and Theresa Wexller, all of Brooklyn, NY and Anna Howell in Arizona; two brothers, Paul DiPaola of Staten Island, NY and Jerome DiPaola of Brooklyn, NY; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012, in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
Doris Edith Fleming
SERGEANTSVILLE, NJ - Doris Edith Fleming, age 84 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Stockton, NJ, November 28, 1927, daughter of the late Dave and Elsie Godshall Riggs, she had formerly resided in Lambertville, NJ and Whitehall, PA.
A longtime member of St. Agnes Church, Stockton, NJ, Mrs. Fleming was formerly a waitress at Cutalossa Inn, Solebury Township, PA and at the Sergeantsville Inn, Sergeantsville, NJ. She was a faithful member of the Sergeantsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Sergeantsville, NJ, formerly serving as its President.
Her husband, Robert Edward Fleming, Sr., died in 2000.
Surviving are her six children and their spouses, Robert Edward Fleming, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn of Conover, NC, David Fleming of Flemington, NJ, Edward Fleming and his wife, Vivian of Delaware Township, NJ, Ronald M. Fleming and his wife Elsie of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Barbara Anne Gregory and her husband, Samuel of Flat Lick, KY and Nancy M. Krapf and her husband, Darryl of Phoenix, AZ; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild who will be born in the upcoming months.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home.

Madaleine Welsh
READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Madaleine Welsh, age 101 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.
Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 13, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Cruser and Cora Lowe Polhemus.
She graduated from Trenton Normal School (now The College of New Jersey) and embarked upon a long and dedicated teaching career in the elementary schools of Readington Township. She retired in 1980 after many years teaching first grade.
At her home in Whitehouse Station, NJ, "Maddy" enjoyed the simple pleasures of gardening, reading, and sewing. After her retirement, she also took pleasure in bowling, traveling, and socializing with her friends and family.
Her husband, Joseph Robert Welsh, died in 1959. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; Roger and Sharon Welsh of East Brunswick, NJ, and Robert and Kalayaporn Welsh of Locust Grove, VA; two brothers, Abraham Polhemus of Edgewater, FL, and Harold Polhemus of Somerville, NJ; and her grandchildren: Michael Welsh, Brian Welsh, Gordon Welsh, and Lucas Welsh.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be in Clover Hill Cemetery, Clover Hill, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.

Frank John Tassi
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Frank John Tassi, age 89 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at his home.
Born in Union City, NJ, January 6, 1923, he had lived in Raritan Township for the past thirty-four years, having formerly lived on Staten Island, NY.
A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, he had owned and operated a gas station on Staten Island for many years. He was a gifted musician, known for playing the saxophone.
His wife, Grace Cassara Tassi, died in 1998 and a son, Frank, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, John J. Tassi of Highland Park, NJ and his longtime friend, John Montanti of Monroe Township, NJ.
Graveside Services will take place Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in The cemetery of the Resurrection, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the cemetery on Wednesday. There will be no calling hours.

Kathleen Anne Bronish
PITTSTOWN, NJ - Kathleen Anne Bronish, age 46 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Raritan Township, NJ, May 16, 1965, she was the daughter of Robert, Sr. and Linda Schultz Bronish of Pittstown, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of the Pittstown area.
A GIS Specialist for Vector and Disease Control for the County of Hunterdon, NJ, she was a graduate of the University of Georgia, Athens, GA and also attended Rutgers University and the State University of New York for graduate work.
She was a member of the Kayak and Canoe Club of Lehigh Valley and also of the Lehigh Valley Whitewater Club.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Christopher Merritt; two brothers, Robert Bronish, Jr. of Washington, NJ and Kenneth Bronish of Pittstown, NJ; her maternal grandmother, Anne Schultz of Pittstown, NJ; and her paternal grandmother, Ann Bronish of Edison, NJ.
