Catalina De Zuchovicki
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ - Catalina De Zuchovicki, age 81 years, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Hungary, June 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Ida Adler Scharf.
She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
A Holocaust survivor, she was a speaker at the St. Petersburg, FL Holocaust Museum, a volunteer at the Suncrest Jewish Family Services in Florida, and a volunteer at Temple Beth El in St. Petersburg.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 PM in the Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Charles A. Whalen
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Charles A. Whalen, age 82 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in the Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ.
Born in West Portal, NJ, April 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence Hill Whalen. He had formerly resided in Manville, NJ and Far Hills, NJ.
He was formerly employed by Henry's Refrigeration, then by Unitemp, and then owned and operated C&H; Heating and Cooling, Manville, NJ.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, Dunellen, NJ. He was a life member of VFW Post #2290, Manville, NJ; a member of American Legion Post #304, Manville, NJ; the Manville Elks Lodge; and was active as a baseball coach with the Manville Little League and was former president of the Manville Youth League 1964-65.
His wife, Helen Carey Whalen, died in 1993, and he was also pre-deceased by a son, Charles A. Whalen, Jr., and a brother, Robert Whalen. Surviving are a son, Ken Whalen, and his wife, Ann, of Annandale, NJ; two daughters, Debbie Rogers Zavacki and her husband, Tom, of Flemington, NJ, and Michele (Mickey) Fetzko of Flower Mound, TX; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Whalen of Kaneohe, HI; ten grandchildren: Kale and wife Brianna Whalen, Kevin,
Shea, Cameron, Christopher, Megan, and Caitlin Whalen, Sean Rogers, Courtney Rogers, and Reilly Fetzko; three great-grandchildren: Andrew, Connor, and Cody Whalen; a sister, Lucille Arnetsen, and a brother, Edward Whalen and his wife Mary.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11 AM in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 400 New Market Road, Dunellen, NJ. Interment
will be in the church memorial garden. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Gloria J. Lazor
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - Gloria J. Lazor, age 83 years, died Wednesday, March 15, 2012, at her home.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Bodendorf Jorgensen. She formerly resided in Annandale, NJ, Bloomsbury, NJ, Sanibel, Florida, and Fort Myers, Florida.
Gloria was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
After graduation, Gloria was a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. After moving to NJ and raising four children, she worked as director of the Red Mill Museum, Clinton, NJ, and also as Public Relations Officer of the New Jersey State Museum, Trenton, NJ. After retiring she and her late husband, John, owned and operated Flemington Floral Co. and Greenhouses with their daughter, Martha Lazor.
After moving to Florida, Gloria volunteered for a local soup kitchen, Hospice and Health Park Hospital in Ft. Myers.
Her husband of forty-four years, John Lazor, died in 1996.
Surviving are four children Sue Wilson (Don), Charlotte, NC, Jan Day(Steve), Hobe Sound, FL. John J. Lazor of Charlotte, NC and Martha Lazor of Ringoes, NJ; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Ryan and Katelyn and one great granddaughter, Sienna.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Whitebridge Road, Pittstown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

Krystal L. Sabo
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Krystal L. Sabo, age 43 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at her home. Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 28, l968, daughter of Betty Luster Sabo and the late Milton Sabo, she had resided in the Flemington area all her life.
Surviving, in addition to her mother who resides in Ringoes, NJ are a sister, Kathy Bassett of Ringoes, NJ; three brothers, Michael Sabo and Pete Sabo, both of Flemington, NJ and Frank Sabo of Mt. Laurel, NJ; an aunt, Margaret Sabo of Flemington, NJ; and Krystal's companion of eighteen years, James Buccos of Raritan Township, NJ; three nephews, Robert, Michael and Sean; and four nieces, Lauren, Katelyn, Kiersten and Jamie, all of whome she loved like her own children.
Her father died in 2009 and a nephew, Scott Sabo, died in 2011.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Flemington Baptist Church, located on the corner of Main and Church Streets, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.

William H. Deats, Sr.
ALPHA, NJ - William H. Deats, Sr., age 72 years, of Alpha, NJ, died on Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Newton, NJ, March 13, 1940, son of the late George and Eula Mae Ward Deats, he had formerly resided in Hampton, NJ, Statesboro, GA, Sweetwater, TN and Finesville, NJ.
A Home Construction Worker for over thirty years before retiring, he was an avid bowler and sportsman.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Evans Deats; four daughters, Valerie Dorsey, Michelle Deats, Dawn Deats and Tammy Walker, all of Easton, PA; a son, William H. Deats, Jr. of Easton, PA; a step-son, Robert Moran of Alpha, NJ; a brother, Raymond Deats of Sykesville, PA; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.

Salvatore LoPiccolo
FLEMINGTON, NJ - Salvatore LoPiccolo, age 82 years, of Flemington, NJ died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born November 22, 1929 in Carini, Sicily in Italy son to the late Pasquale and Rosalia LoPiccolo, Salvatore worked as a real estate agent in Sicily and came to the United States in 1977 to Brooklyn, NY. He worked at Mama Leones Restaurant in Manhattan until he moved to Flemington, NJ where he lived for the last 22 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Maria, married
36 years, his son Lou and his wife, Eileen, his son John and his wife, Laura, his son Salvatore and his wife, Melanie and his six grandchildren, Giovanni, Michael, Anthony, Adriana, Marco, Christian and his soon to be 7th grandchild, Anabella. He is also survived by his brother, Pedro, who resides in Sicily, Italy. He was cared for in his later years by his loving wife, Maria and his three sons.
He was a devoted family man who enjoyed every minute with his wife, sons and grandchildren. His grandchildren will always remember their Nonno for putting a smile on their faces and giving the best hugs. He will forever be remembered sitting at his sons’ pizzeria greeting customers with his warm smile. Forever in our hearts, til we meet again. We will miss you and love you always. "Ti amo Marito, Padre e Nonno."

FLEMINGTON, NJ - Eddy Joel Martinez Zuna, died before birth on March 21, 2012 in the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. He was the son of Eduardo and Mariana Martinez of Flemington.
