Jean R. Schaefer
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Jean R. Schaefer, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
Born in New York City, May 3, 1927, daughter of the late Victor and Almerinda Cipullo Ferrigno, she had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Raritan Township since 1965.
She was formerly employed in the Flemington-Raritan School cafeteria, then at the Hunterdon Central Regional High School cafeteria and later was cafeteria manager at Burroughs Corporation, Raritan Township.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Three Bridges, NJ and had a strong faith. Jean loved her family and friends who will all miss her dearly.
She was pre-deceased by her loving brother, John Ferrigno and his wife Marie. Surviving are her husband of fifty-nine years, George Schaefer, Jr., whom she met while working in the Brooklyn Navy Yard where he was assigned to the United States Navy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and James Durfee of Sumner, ME. and Margaret and Donald Tidey of Denville, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Heidi Schaefer III of Flemington, NJ; and four grandchildren, Sage Parker, Jacob Parker, Allison Tidey and Lauren Tidey.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held Monday, April 16, 2012, at 10:30AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Summer Rd., Three Bridges, NJ followed by interment in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Andrea Munley
MYSTIC ISLAND, NJ - Andrea Munley, age 61 years, of Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ, died on Friday, May 11, 2012, in Hamilton Township, NJ at the home of her daughter.
Born in Trenton, NJ, November 10, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Helen Unorski Schrimpe. She had formerly resided in Raritan Township, NJ most of her life.
She was a Senior Account Analyst with Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, NJ where she had worked for forty-two years.
Andrea was Past President of the Flemington Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, Flemington, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of forty-two years, George Thomas Munley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Phillip Santos of Stewartsville, NJ, and Tara and Edward Sottong of Hamilton Township, NJ; a brother, Michael Schrimpe of Raritan Township, NJ: and three grandchildren, Riley Santos, Michaley Sottong, and Alexa Sottong.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
William B. Fernekes
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - William B. Fernekes of 1 Leisure Court, Flemington NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the age of 90.
Born in Jersey City, NJ he was the only child of Robert Fernekes and Margaret Carrick. Growing up in Jersey City, William was a graduate of Henry Snyder High School, Class of 1939. He enlisted in the United States Navy in early 1942, serving as a radioman/gunner 3rd class in a flight squadron of SBD Dauntless dive bombers on the aircraft carrier U. S. S. Ranger, and seeing action in the North Atlantic and during the invasion of North Africa. Selected as a candidate for a naval officers candidate training program, he was honorably discharged from the U. S. Navy in 1946.
He married
Josephine Claire Mangnante of Orange NJ in 1950, and had their child, William Robert Fernekes in 1952. Relocating to Monmouth County and William Fernekes served in supervisory and claims adjuster roles with the American Insurance and Allstate Insurance companies, retiring from Allstate in the mid-1980s after a quarter century of service. Following Josephine’s death in 1988, William resided in Monmouth County until his move to Flemington in September 2011. He is survived by his son William R. of Raritan Township.
Interment was private and took place on Monday, May 14, 2012 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. The family will receive visitors at their home at 41 Bristol Avenue, Flemington NJ on Friday, May 18 from 2-5 p.m.

Runkle F. Bush
CLINTON, NJ - Runkle F. "Rocky" Bush, age 82 years, of Clinton, NJ, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Whitehouse Station, NJ, September 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Geroge L. and Olive Sutton Bush. He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
He worked for the Delaware Valley Co-Op, Flemington Fairgrounds, and the County of Hunterdon Road Department and Buildings and Maintenance Department before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Aldona Astrauckas Bush; his son Runkle F. "Frank" Bush, Jr. and his wife Christine, and their children, Steven and wife Kathy, and Brian and his wife Sandy; a daughter, Kandace Beam and her husband Delford and their children Shawn and boyfriend Jason, and Barrett and his wife Shelli; a son, Clint Bush; and nine great-grandchildren: William, Dominic, Owen, Kayleigh, Derek, Andrew, Patrick, Natalie, and a baby boy due in July. A grandson, Jeffrey, died earlier.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.

Ryan P. Cook
FLEMINGTON, NJ - Ryan P. Cook, age 20 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Readington Township, NJ as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Edison, NJ, March 9, 1992, he had resided in Flemington for the past six years, and had previously resided in Franklin Park, NJ.
Ryan was a 2010 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ, and just completed his sophomore year at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a Communications major and Spanish minor.
Ryan was an avid basketball player and fan, and played for the last several years in the Flemington-Raritan Recreation League.
Ryan formerly worked at Timberland Outlet, Liberty Village, and was currently employed by Soriano's Catering, Bridgewater, NJ.
Ryan is survived by his mother and step-father, Laura Jo Vitale-Bender and Paul Bender of Flemington, NJ; his father and step-mother, Richard P. Cook, Jr., and Lisa Cook of Fords, NJ; a sister, Leigh Ann Cook; two brothers, Christopher and Matthew Cook; his maternal grandmother, Genevieve Vitale of Iselin, NJ; his step grandparents, Pete and Mary Lou Bender of Pittsburgh, PA, and Maria Ramos of Howard Beach, NY and Pedro Diaz of Staten Island, NY; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated in St. Cecelia Roman Catholic Church, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are kindly asked to meet directly at the Church on Thursday morning. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude's Mausoleum, Colonia, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Stanley David Hart
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Stanley David Hart, age 97 years of Hillsborough, NJ, died on Monday, May 28, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, June 1, 1914, he was the son of the late Stanley H. and Harriet M. Homiller Hart.
He had formerly resided in East Amwell Township, NJ for over thirty five years.
A graduate of Princeton University, he was formerly a Senior Executive Vice President of Mellon Bank, Philadelphia, PA.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Anna H. Hart in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Stephen Hart of New Hope, PA, and Peter Hart of Princeton, NJ; two grandsons, Christopher Hart of Joplin, MO and Thomas Hart of Watertown, MA and one Niece, Adrienne Pemberton of Boston, MA.
A private Graveside service will be held in Trinity-All Saints Cemetery, Princeton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Frederick J. LePore, Jr.
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Frederick J. LePore, age 64 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away of cancer on Friday, June 1, 2012 at his residence.
Fred was born in Bound Brook NJ, December 13, 1947, one of four children to Frederick Sr. and Katherine LePore. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas, sister Mildred Ann and parents Frederick Sr. and Katherine. Fred is survived by his wife MaryAnn of 45 years, son Freddy & his wife Sherry, grandchildren Morgan, Bryce & Ryan and daughter Rene` and grandchildren Mateo, Elizabeth & Jacob all residing in NJ. Also survived by brother Bill and his family of Portland, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
Fred was intensely committed to his family. Those befriended by him, remained loyal companions. Fred derived much pleasure from numerous island vacations with his wife MaryAnn, working on his home, especially his meticulous landscaping of the acreage surrounding his house, road trips with his son and brother Bill fishing the rivers and lakes of Oregon and a great appreciation of the west's natural beauty.
Fred was a spirited and energetic person who lived life to the fullest, loved to laugh and bring laughter to others.
Fred was the founder and proud owner of Interstate Well and Pump. A company he tirelessly cultivated for over 30 years from a one man operation to a recognized industry leader within central NJ.
Fred will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be announced at Alfonsos's Restaurant, Somerville, NJ at a later date. Interment
