RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Cynthia J. Rudden, age 62 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 5, 2012, in Flagstaff Medical Center, Flagstaff, AZ, where she was stricken while vacationing there.
Born in Miami, Florida, March 7, 1950, daughter of Muriel VanLenten Prins of Hawthorne, NJ, and the late Ralph Prins, she had resided in Raritan Township since 2007 and had formerly resided in Readington Township, NJ.
She was formerly a secretary for Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals and also was a substitute teacher, sold Avon products, worked at H&R; Block and at Briteside Adult Care Center.
She attended Moody Bible Institute and Philadelphia Bible College and was a cum laude graduate of Bloomfield College with a degree in accounting. She attended the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of thirty-five years, Mark M. Rudden; a son, Steven Rudden of Flemington, NJ; two brothers, Edward Prins of Hawthorne, NJ and Rick Prins of Hattiesburg, MS; and a sister, Laurie Edewaard of Hawthorne, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2012, at 10:30 AM in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Main Street, Three Bridges, NJ followed by entombment in Somerset Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Basking Ridge, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mary Costa
HAMPTON, NJ - Mary Costa, age 82 years, of Hampton, NJ, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, NJ.
Born in Manhattan, NY, May 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angelina Carini Morisi. She had formerly resided in Italy, where she taught school, and then in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Hampton, NJ.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church, Hampton, NJ and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Societa Del Val Trebbia E Val Nure.
Her husband, Luigi Costa, died in 2002 as well as a son, Anthony, in 2012.
Surviving are a son, Joseph R. Costa of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Angela Calvanico of La Verne, Ca; and six grandchildren, Al Calvanico, Michael Calvanico, Alexander Costa, Christopher Costa, Kristin Costa and Maria Costa.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Hampton, NJ followed by interment in the church cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the Church on Friday. Kumar Krishnam
GLEN GARDNER, NJ - Kumar Krishnam, age 56 years, of Glen Gardner, NJ, died on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in India, January 12, 1956, he was the son of Renuka Prasad and the late Baghamber Prasad.
Mr. Kumar was currently a Senior Operator for ImCone, Branchburg, NJ. He had earned his law degree in India and had earned a M.S. in Pharmaceutical Management as well as a M.S. in Economics and History.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Alka Kumari Kumar; two sons, Nirmit and Rachit Kumar; and many other relatives and friends.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held Monday in the Somerset Hills Memorial Park Crematory Chapel, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ, 07920 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Private Visitation and Prayers will be held Sunday at the family home.

Chester Steven Kurkowiak
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Chester S. Kurkowiak, age 65 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, December 7, 2012, in the VA Hospital, East Orange, NJ.
Born in Esberg, Denmark, October 27, 1947, he was the son of the late Stefan and Maria Slodkiewicz Kurkowiak.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post #7856, Flemington, NJ.
He was an avid bowler and fisherman, and fan of Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys.
Surviving are a daughter, Kim M. Horner, of Holland Township, NJ; two sons, Chester S. Kurkowiak, Jr. of Flemington, NJ, and Stephan P. Kurkowiak of New York State; three sisters, Bozenna H. Kirchner of Branchburg, NJ, Danuta W. Layton of Houston, TX, and Lile Pachomowa of Flemington, NJ; and eight grandchildren: Kathryn, Jennifer, Tiffany, Amber, Elizabeth, Lexi, Casey, and Mary Rose.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.

Kathleen Superior
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Kathleen Superior, age 64 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born on July 16, 1948 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Nicholas E. and Evelyn Travers Shine, she had resided in Delaware Township for the past thirty-eight years.
She had formerly been a Secretary with Merck, Rahway, NJ and a part-time Secretary at the Delaware Township School, Delaware Township, NJ.
A Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, Kathleen loved to country line dance and also loved sitting "under her tree" at the Flemington-Raritan Community Pool, Flemington, NJ, where she spent much time the past thirty-four summers.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she is survived by her husband, Theodore F. "Ted" Superior. The two childhood sweethearts grew up together, living two blocks apart in Avenel and have been married
for the past forty-two years. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Christine K. S. Miller, Pharm.D., Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and son-in-law, Scott Miller of Princeton Junction, NJ; a son, United States Army Major Michael J. Superior, M.D. of Silver Spring, MD; a brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Karen Shine of Iselin, NJ; a brother John Shine of Avenel, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Paul Hess
KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Paul Hess, age 76 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home.
Born April 13, 1936, son of the late Charles and Cecelia Bauberger Hess, he had resided in Hunterdon County most of his life.
Paul was formerly a Cement Truck Driver for Flemington Block & Supply, Flemington, NJ. A communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ, he was a former member of the Flemington Moose Lodge and was a member of the Ridge Road Farmers Gun Club, Kingwood Township, NJ. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by many.
His loving wife, Mary A. Wilcox Hess, died in 1998. He was also pre-deceased by two brothers, Charles Edward Hess and Walter Hess as well as a grandson, Paul Crook.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Ron Larsen of Kingwood Township, NJ; his daughter, Catherine Cobb in New Jersey; his four grandchildren, Jackie Dickens and husband Roger, Ron Larsen and wife Jenny, Jen Larsen and her fiance Bob St. Laurent and Travis Cobb; and his four great grandchildren, Paul Dickens and William, Lucas and Lily Larsen.
