FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, HUNTERDON COUNTY - J. Barry Ewing, age 66 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, August 11, 1946, son of the late John S. and Gertrude Barry Ewing, he was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
He was formerly a well-driller with Stover & Ewing, Raritan Township, NJ and retired in 2009 from the Kingwood Township Road Department.
Barry was a 1964 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ; was a former member of the New Jersey National Guard; a lifelong member of the Cherryville Baptist Church; and a member of the Quakertown Recreation Club.
Surviving are his wife of forty-four years, Phyllis Kirk Ewing; two sons and daughters-in-law, J. Steven and Paula Ewing of Palmerton, PA and Michael and Colleen Ewing of Franklin Township, NJ; four grandchildren, Samuel, Rachel, John Benjamin and Theodore Ewing; two sisters, Peggy Cramer of Raritan Township, NJ and Gail Buchanan of Lake Kiowa, TX; and a brother, George Ewing of Raritan Township, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, NJ. Interment
will be private. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Rosalie McIntosh
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - Rosalie McIntosh, age 76 years, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, March 20, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Virga Gulino, she had resided in Phillipsburg for the past five years, having formerly resided in Somerville, NJ for over forty years.
She had formerly been employed by Immaculate Conception School, Somerville, NJ as Cafeteria Manager and later went on to own and operate Ultra Clean Carpet Cleaning Service, Somerville, NJ for fifteen years.
A formmer communicant of St Ann's Church, Raritan, NJ, she was a choir member there. Rosalie was an accomplished opera singer and enjoyed attending performances at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Additionally, she loved boating with her husband.
Her husband of fifty-six years, John Edward McIntosh, died August 21, 2012.
Surviving are a son, Christopher McIntosh of Lebanon Township, NJ; three daughters, Anne Prisner of Neshanic Station, NJ, Rosalie Stolz of Stewartsville, NJ, and Janet Monahan of Toms River, NJ; four brothers, Charles Gulino of Marboro, NJ, Joseph Gulino of Staten Island, NY, Fred Gulino of New York City, NY and Lawrence Gulino of Stony Brook, NY; and two grandsons, Karl Prisner and Robert Stolz.
Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
Caterina Garibaldi Bilbao
HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, NJ - Caterina Garibaldi Bilbao, 88, formerly of Brooklyn, New York died on January 19, 2013 at Bridgeway Care in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
Born in Bari, Italy on May 7, 1924, she was the daughter of Raffaele Garibaldi and Maria Vescina Garibaldi. "Rina" was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Bilbao; her daughter, Aurora Viglione; her son-in-law, Frank Viglione; her brothers Franco and Antonio Garibaldi, and her sister, Vincenza Garibaldi Kamhi.
She is survived by her daughter Rosalba "Albie" Meglaughlin and her husband, William of Flemington, New Jersey and her sister, Grazia Garibaldi Kamhi of Brooklyn, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Meglaughlin and his fiancée Kory Clark; David Meglaughlin; Andrew Esses and his wife, Kelly Gray Esses: Jaime Meglaughlin Krotzer and her husband Jeffrey Krotzer; Geoffrey Bilbao Meglaughlin and his fiancée Sara Helmig; Michael Viglione and his wife Tracy Snow Viglione; David Viglione and his fiancée Nikki Roman; as well as four great granddaughters, Katherine Gray Esses, Margaret Avery Meglaughlin, Madeleine Meglaughlin Krotzer and Gemma Capri Viglione; a niece, Esther Kamhi and a nephew, Albert Kamhi.
"Rina" was a war bride who married
US Merchant Mariner, Manuel Bilbao in Italy at the end of WWII. She lived in several countries during her lifetime and was fluent in three languages, loved Italian crossword puzzles and retelling the stories of her childhood in Italy. She was a fantastic cook and her grandchildren were among her greatest fans.
Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. A Repast in the Fellowship Hall of the Church will follow the service. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY, will be private. Stella Zilavetz
EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stella Zilavetz, age 91 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Pat Szabo on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
She was born in Charleroi, Pa., December 6, 1921, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Wlada Niwiadomy Dera, and had resided most of her life in Avenel, NJ before moving to East Amwell Township in 2010.
Stella was a US Army veteran of World War 2, where she met her husband, Warrent Officer Steve Zilavetz. She served in North Africa and Italy. She was also employed over twenty-five years with RCA, Avenel, NJ.
A former communicant of St. Andrew's Catholic Church of Avenel, Stella enjoyed cooking, candy making, baking, sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Steve, died in 1999 and a grandson, Eric Szabo, in 2009. She was also pre-deceased by three brothers, Chester, Zigmund and Edward and a brother-in-law, Richard.
Surviving are a daughter, Pat Szabo of Ringoes, NJ; a grandson, Jason Szabo of Woodbridge, NJ; and a great grandson, Aaron Szabo of 29 Palms, CA.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 12 Noon in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. John A. Ader
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - John A. Ader, age 56 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his home.
Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 28, 1956, he was the son of the late Gene Ader and the late Violet Baker Ader Grecco.
He was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ and was a clerk with the United States Postal Service, Flemington, NJ.
A United States Navy veteran, John was a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159. He was also a member of Cherryville Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Michael Ader of Phillipsburg, NJ and Robert Ader of Nazareth, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 7 PM in the Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private.

John M. Lucas
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ - John M. Lucas, age 76 years, of Holland Township, NJ, died Saturday, January 26, 2013, at his home.
Born in Flemington, NJ, August 29, 1936, son of the late John and Reba Compton Lucas, he had resided in Holland Township since 2009 and had formerly resided in Raritan Township, NJ and in Flemington, NJ.
He was a well driller formerly employed by Wm. Stothoff Co., Inc., Flemington, NJ and later by the Hydro Group. He retired in 1998.
Jack was a member of the Flemington Exempt Firemens Association and attended the High Bridge United Methodist Church. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Eagles fan. Jack also loved his dog, Bailey.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Norma Tripp Lucas; two sons and daughters-in-law, John M. Lucas, Jr. and Kathy Lucas and James and Jackie Lucas, both of Readington Township, NJ; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jill Coppola of Raritan Township, NJ and Judith and Brian Jones of Readington Township, NJ; a sister, Judith Cole of Raritan Township, NJ; and ten grandchildren.
