Ilene Lois Case
KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Ilene Lois Case, age 93, died, Monday, January 19, 2015, at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born January 13, 1922, in Hornell, NY, Ilene was the daughter of the late Crowley and Lola Arlene (Norton) Zeliff. She was a graduate of Rider College and worked as a secretary for the US Army Depot in Hillsborough, NJ, during World War II. Ilene was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Raritan Township Fire Company and in later years, she spent much time knitting afghans, many of which were donated to those in need.
Ilene was predeceased in 2012 by her husband of sixty-seven years, Frank L. Case, by her son, Roger Case, and by two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Frank Lee Case of Frenchtown NJ, two grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Interment
will follow in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ. Calling hour will be prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Ilene’s name may be made to the Raritan Township Fire Co., 303 South Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
Jeanette Serridge
RARITAN TOWNSHIP - Jeanette Serridge, age 62 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., July 18, 1952, daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Holton Caulton, she had resided most of her life in Hunterdon County.
She was employed for thirty years by Shop-Rite, first in Flemington, NJ and then in Clinton, NJ.
Jeanette was a longtime volunteer at Flemington American Legion Post #159.
Her sister, Annette Prutzman, died in 1978.
Surviving are her husband of twenty-two years, Edward C. Serridge; a son John Rose, Jr. and his girlfriend, Mary Marciante, of West Trenton, NJ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Chris Hansen of West Amwell Township, NJ, and Michelle and Aaron Webb of West Amwell Township; a grandson, Gabriel Hansen of West Amwell Township, NJ; a step-son, Edward J. Serridge of Kingston, NJ and a step-daughter, Denise M. Serridge of Kingston, NJ.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
Theresa Marion Hallgren
GLEN GARDNER, NJ - Theresa Marion Hallgren, age 93 years, of Glen Gardner, NJ, died January 22, 2015, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Donnerskirchen, Austria, October 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marie Berger Winkowitsch. They, along with her sister, Marie, immigrated to the US in the 1930's by way of Ellis Island. Terry began her career as a technician at Bell Labs, Murray Hill. She then married
Arthur G. Hallgren in 1947. Together, they moved to Watchung, NJ, where they began their family, and she, a 25 year career at Burroughs Corp. Terry and Art retired happily to Hunterdon County, where she rekindled her love of crocheting, baking and reading, and he, his passion for tennis at Courtside Racquet Club. They forged many new and valuable friendships there.
Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur, in 1993; her son, Arthur S. Hallgren in 1994; her sister, Marie Dentzer; and her niece, Jacqueline Chadwick.
Surviving are her daughter, Wendy Hallgren, of Thetford, VT; grandsons, Jonah Koeppel of Frisco, CO; Nathaniel Koeppel of Pomfret, VT; two nephews, Theodore Dentzer of Ringoes, NJ; Joseph Dentzer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and her niece, Donna Loebs, of Mooresville, NC, along with many great nieces and nephews.
Theresa will be buried alongside her husband at the pastoral location he carefully chose for them at Spruce Run Cemetery, Lebanon Township, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
At her request, no service will be held.
Violet Miseno
KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Violet Perine Miseno died at home on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the age of 104. She would have been 105 in February. She had been residing with her daughter in Frenchtown after her husband, Ugo Ralph Miseno died in 2007.
Born on Staten Island, February 7, 1910, she was a descendant of the French Huguenots. Her ancestors settled on the shores of Staten Island in the early 1600’s in the area aptly named, Huguenot. She had her “Confirmation Tea” in the Perine House, a landmark on Staten Island.
During WWII, she volunteered as a nurse’s aide at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Staten Island, after which she went on to achieve a nursing degree. She practiced nursing for many years at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Willowbrook on Staten Island, and Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH.
Violet enjoyed travelling, gardening, crocheting, and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed riding a motorcycle, roller skating and horseback riding. She had an avid interest in the history of the American Indians and attended many Indian ceremonies with her late husband.
In addition to her parents and husband, Violet is predeceased by her daughter, Alice and two grandchildren, Dennis and Linda. She is survived by her daughter, Hazel A. DeSario, NJ, her seven grandchildren, Diane Micali, Denice Muller, Patricia DeSario, Arthur DeSario, Wanda Bergmann, Anthony Bergmann, and Dorothy Palmeiri. In addition, she had nine great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Micali, Amy-Jo Micali-Connor, Thomas, Gregory, and Andrew Muller, Timothy and Allison DeSario, and Krystal Bergmann. She loved them all and spent many happy times with them.
She is a wonderful and interesting woman who will be sadly missed.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Funeral service and cremation will be private.

Barbara Ann Mundy
ANNANDALE, NJ - Barbara Ann Mundy, age 83 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Friday, January 30, 2015 at her home.
Born in Somerville, NJ, June 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ethel Holcombe Staats. She had resided in Annandale, NJ for sixty years.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Stewart Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, for over fifty-five years, and a former member of the Annandale Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Frederick Mundy, died in 1992. Surviving are her daughters, Kathy Bowkley of Califon, NJ, and Debbie Mundy of Bath, PA; and a grandson, Andrew Martens, of Stanton, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will be private in New Cemetery, Somerville, NJ.

Gerard "Jerry" Duffy
HIGH BRIDGE, NJ - Gerard F. “Jerry” Duffy, age 83, loving husband, father, and grandfather, wonderful brother-in-law, uncle and devoted friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Born May 23, 1931 in the Bronx, NY, Jerry was the son of the late Patrick and Theresa (Turnbull) Duffy. He was raised in Brooklyn, and worked as a Manager for AT&T;, retiring after 40 years in 1989. He was a member of the AT&T; Pioneers, the Flemington Elks, and the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Church in High Bridge, NJ.
Jerry and his wife of 52 years, “Lovey, ” travelled throughout the United States and overseas, making many treasured memories in each place they visited. Most of all, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his six grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Joseph Duffy, he is survived by his wife, Carmela “Lovey” (Fortunato) Duffy, of High Bridge, NJ, his three children and their spouses, Brian and Michele Duffy of Easton, PA, Susan and Dean Fleming of Oxford, NJ, and Janice Duffy and her fiancé, Keith Gibbons of Oxford, NJ. He was adored by his six grandchildren, who called him “Poppy, ” Nicole, Erin and Craig Fleming, Jordan and Ian Duffy, and Matthew Gibbons.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Church, 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ 08829, followed by interment in Immaculate Conception cemetery in Annandale, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
