Doris Conover
OCALA, FLORIDA - Doris Conover, age 86 years, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Flemington, NJ died Monday, January 19, 2015 in Ocala.
Doris was born in Mt. Holly, NJ on April 12, 1928; daughter to the late Wilbur J. and Beatrice (Atkinson) Doron. For many years Doris was a manager for cosmetics and pharmacy stores. She enjoyed playing cards, watching her sons play sports when they were young, loved rock and roll, was a singer and also loved spending time with her friends and family. Doris was a very spirited woman and had many friends. She was an animal lover and so appreciated being with her daughter and her daughters pets.
Doris was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Vernon Conover who died August of 1995, her son Gary C. Conover who died October 25, 1979 and her brother Bob Doron.
She is survived by her son Wayne and daughter Doreen and her husband John Earley; grandsons Bryan and his wife Lynn, Keith and his wife Jenn, Brandon and his wife Stephanie; great grandchildren Brynn, Ryan and Eliza and brother Bill Doron and his wife Carol.
Services and interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Catherine Ann Dudzinski
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Catherine Ann Dudzinski, age 91, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
She was born June 28, 1923 in Pittston, PA, and was the ninth of twelve children to the late Michael and Mary (Kopcha) Czar. Catherine was a 1947 graduate of the cadet program of Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and she became an RN. She had a passion for helping others and caring for them in their time of need and was awarded the Guggenheim Medal for Outstanding Bedside Nursing.
Catherine’s generosity touched many lives, her caring and love for others, along with her family, were the cornerstones of her life.
Catherine met her beloved husband, Walter Dudzinski in 1946 and was married
in 1948; they were married
for 66 years. In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her three children (and their spouses), Deanna, Walter, Jr. (Leslie), and Edward (Denise), six grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Jennifer (Micah), Brian, Natasha, and Matthew, two twin great-grandsons, Baruch and Yoni, as well as her sister, Marge Russo.

will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment
will follow in St. Magdalen cemetery in Flemington. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Yolanda T. LaVecchia
READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Yolanda T. LaVecchia, age 89 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Little Italy in New York City, NY, October 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Antonino and Carolina Blandini Scire. She had resided in New York City until moving to Readington Township ten years ago.
She retired from the Social Security Administration, New York, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years, Angelo S. LaVecchia, in 2011, and her siblings, Feliciano Scire, Maria DiOrio, Agrippina DeLiso, James Scire and Dr. Helen Scire. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Salvatore and Maria Raquel LaVecchia of Readington Township, NJ; and four grandchildren: Angela, Anthony, Silvana, and Chiara, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

will be celebrated on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment

Rocco L. Cifrese
RARITAN TOWNSHIP - Rocco L. Cifrese, age 95, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, New Jersey.
Born January 27, 1920 in Morristown, New Jersey, Rocco was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Oliva) Cifrese. He was a resident of Mendham Township, New Jersey, for more than 53 years before moving to an assisted living facility in Raritan Township in 2012.
Rocco was a proud member of the US Army Air Corps, from 1941-1945, and also served in the Air Force Reserves from 1951-1952. As a Second Lieutenant he flew dangerous bombing missions during World War II. An ace pilot, Rocco was one of the few to fly both B-17 and B-24 aircraft. For his efforts, Rocco was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Additionally, he delivered some of the earliest shipments of Penicillin to our troops overseas. After the war, he was employed by Alderney Dairy in Morris Plains, NJ, until he became a Union Carpenter and worked on many commercial construction projects. Rocco was a life-long volunteer fireman and past Chief of the Brookside Engine Company #1, as well as a former Mendham Township Fire Marshall. He was a Communicant for many years with St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Mendham, New Jersey, and a member of The VFW, Post 7858 of Bernardsville, New Jersey.
Rocco was an accomplished gardener, and a member of the NJ Beekeepers Association as well as owner of Walnut Hill Apiary where he collected and sold honey. Rocco’s talents as a repairman were widely known, as he could fix almost anything. He often volunteered at charity thrift stores, where he would resurrect broken items. His family and friends will remember him as a fabulous storyteller, especially with stories of World War II.
Predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Vito, Michael, and Frank Cifrese, Jr., and his sisters, Rose Cifrese and Frances Girodano, Rocco is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nicoletta (Mazziotta) Cifrese. Further, he leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Jennifer Cifrese of Boulder, Colorado, his daughter Lisa Cifrese and son-in-law Dr. Richard Geha of Stockton, New Jersey, his grandchildren, Frank S. Cifrese of Boulder, CO, Jamie Ellis of Laramie, WY, and Danielle Cifrese of Boulder, CO., his sister, Anne Endler of Canandaigua, New York, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Maria Baumann
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Maria Baumann, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home.
Born in Northampton, PA, June 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Stoisits Roth. She had resided in Raritan Township since 1964.
She was a homemaker and communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.
Her husband, Joseph Baumann, died in 1998. Surviving are her three sons, Joseph, Eric, and Brian Baumann, all of Raritan Township, NJ; two grandchildren; and her sister, Anna, in Austria.

Christopher H. Stahl, Jr.
EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Christopher H. Stahl, Jr., age 68 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at his home.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, May 24, 1946, son of the late Christopher H. Stahl, Sr. and Lenora Pletcher Stahl, he had resided in East Amwell Township since 1981 and had formerly resided in Neshanic Station, NJ.
He was formerly a farmer and a self-employed general contractor. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are a son, Christopher H. Stahl, III of Whitehouse Station, NJ; three daughters, Jenna Stahl of Santa Monica, CA, Jessica Stahl of Stockton, NJ, Leslie Stahl of Stockton, NJ; four brothers, William Stahl of Neshanic Station, NJ, Roger Stahl of Ringoes, NJ, Kenneth Stahl of Flemington, NJ and John Stahl of Phillipsburg, NJ; two sisters, Pat Roehm of Neshanic Station, NJ and Betty Konczyk of Nazareth, PA; and three grandchildren, Vivienne Sackville, Oliver Stahl Noon and Henry Stahl Noon.

LEBANON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Charles Fortunato, age 94 years, died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Hunterdon Hills Care Center, Lebanon Township, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, February 24, 1920, he was the son of the late Charles and Carmella Fortunato.
He was a retired Chef.
Among his survivors, are his niece, Josephine Carr, of Flemington, NJ.
