Arnold E. Garrison, Sr., 76, a machine operator for Wanaque Road Dept, where he worked for 30 years, died Wednesday, October 06, 2004 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0246, Haskell. Mr. Garrison, Sr. lived his entire life in Haskell. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, Arnold E. Garrison, Jr. (Son)of Haskell, Mildred Osborn (Daughter) of Haskell, Rita Barriero (Daughter) of Haskell, Donna Kraus (Daughter) of West Milford and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Garrison. He was born March 06, 1928 in Wanaque, New Jersey the son of Harry and Louisa (Cooper) Garrison. Hopkins, Ford E., 89, a retired maintenance worker for Wayne Warehousing, Wayne, NJ, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at St Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick, NY. Mr. Hopkins lived in Warwick, NY since 1992 and was previously from Paterson, NJ. He is survived by his wife Adelyn (Dramis), Kenneth Hopkins (Son) of Hewitt, NJ, Janice E. Denmon (Daughter) of Milford, NJ, 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren. He was born August 16, 1915 in Paterson, NJ the son of James and Lulu (Storms) Hopkins. He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Cpl. enlisted on July 14, 1943 at Newark, NJ discharged on November 2, 1945 at Ft Dix, NJ. Private funeral services were held at Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. Rev Janet Macgregor Williams officiated. Burial
was in the Cedar Lawn cemetery in Paterson.
Harlak, Stephanie, age 87, of West Milford on Monday, November 22, 2004. Born in Clifton she moved to Hewitt and West Milford in 1993. Ms. Harlak was a matron with G. Weston Limited of Clifton for many years. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church, Hewitt, a member of the Upper Greenwood Lake Golden Jet Set, a member of the West Milford Chapter of Deborah Hospital Foundation. Ms. Harlak is survived by a twin sister, Anna Harlak and a sister Tillie Oats both of Hewitt. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Fanny (Markovich) Harlak, three brothers, William, Daniel and Simon, four sisters, Vera Nelson, Mary Ladisheff, Antoinette Harlak and Elizabeth Tunkel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews. Interment
at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
Haycock, Frank Allen, age 77, on Sunday December 5, 2004 at Manor Care of Sarasota, FL. Born in East Orange, NJ, he was a resident of Sarasota, FL for the past 21 years. Mr. Haycock has been a resident of Sarasota, West Milford and Bradenton since 1959. Mr. Haycock was a mathematics teacher at Irvington High School in Irvington, NJ, McIntosh Student Center in Sarasota, FL, Manatee Community College, - South Campus, Venice, FL and at West Milford High School. He was a former Fire Chief of the Macopin Fire Department, West Milford, Fire Inspector and Fire Commissioner. While in West Milford, he taught fire courses in fire prevention, codes and ordinances, fire science and fire fighting tactics at Passaic County Community College. Mr. Haycock was a member of the Colonial Oaks Baptist Church, Sarasota and served as a deacon. He was a veteran serving in the Navy as an Electrician’s Mate Second Class. He was a member of American Legion Post 289, West Milford and an Exempt Member of the West Milford Fire Department.
Mr. Haycock is survived by his wife, the former Constance E. Boyer, one sister, Ruth I. Story of Huntington, NY. His was predeceased by a son, Robert A. in 2002. Mr. Haycock was the son of Frank Raymond and Lydia Eleanor (Schomp) Haycock. Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Sunday, December 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services on Monday, December 20th at 11 AM. Rev. Winifred D. Johnson 82, died Tuesday, at the Regency Gardens Nursing Center, Wayne. She was born in Brooklyn residing in Guttenberg prior to moving to Butler 10 years ago. She was the wife of the late George who died in 2002. Surviving is a daughter, Margaret Quinn, Little Falls. Predeceased by 2 sons George and Harvey and 1 daughter, Winifred. Mr. Jacyssin lived in Bloomingdale, New Jersey for 51 years and was previously from Mt View. He is survived by Fred (Butch) Jacyssin (Son)of Massachusetts, Frank Decker (Son) of Bloomingdale, NJ, Joan Kibler (Daughter) of Maryland, Jonnie Parisi (Daughter) of Vernon, NJ, May Deford (Daughter)of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife Naioma, and a son Fred L. Jacyssin. He was born September 01, 1915 in Passaic, New Jersey the son of Nicholas and Theresa Jacyssin. She was born October 30, 1958 in Passaic, NJ the daughter of Russell and Helen (Malone) Banta. Ronald G. Krieger, age 58, died Tuesday December 14, 2004 in West Milford. Born in Montclair, he moved to Hewitt (West Milford Twsp) 47 years ago, coming from Little Falls. Mr. Krieger was a journeyman electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 102, Parsippany. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam war serving from 1966-68 attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. He is survived by his wife Dolores Krieger (Weilandt), his father Charles Krieger of Bearfoot Bay, FL; two sons Keith Krieger of Paterson, Ryan Krieger of Merced, CA; a brother Chip Krieger of Wilmington, NC; a sister Christine Krieger of Milford, NY; mother in law Juliette Braun and the Weilandt family, and six nieces. Memorial services will be held Saturday December 18, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd. West Milford. Logue, Ambrose Joseph, 90, a retired security guard for E.I. Dupont, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at his residence . Mr. Logue lived in Pompton Lakes for 70 years and was previously from Paterson. He is survived by his daughter, Maureen Cueman of West Milford and 2 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys (2000). He was born November 25, 1913 in Paterson, NJ the son of and Patrick and Robina (Canning) Logue. He served in the US Army during World War 11 from 1943 to 1945. William J. Louttit, age 81, died Friday, December 3, 2004 at his residence in Hewitt, N.J. Mr. Louttit was born in Bronx, N.Y. and lived there before coming to Hewitt 10 years ago. He was a retired bus driver for Manhattan & Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority of New York. He was an Army veteran of WW II from 1941-45. He is survived by his two sons William Louttit of Ringwood and Keith Louttit of May Brook, N.Y; a daughter Joanne Louttit of Hewitt, and five grandchildren. William was predeceased by his wife Maria.
