Aliotta, Mary (Drejman) age 79 passed away on May 31, 2007. She retired from Continental Can Company where she was the first female forklift operator. She cared for her husband, Salvatore, who preceded her in death. Mary’s caring, compassion and generosity will always be remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her son, Salvatore, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Jackson, TN, her grandson Stephan and his wife Angela of Evansville, IN, her great granddaughter, Sicily and her brother, Edwin Drejman of Mahwah, NJ. Alston, Chanola, age 99, a retired social worker for New York City, died Friday, January 26, 2007 at her home in West Milford, NJ. Ms. Alston attained a BA from College of New Rochelle, NY and MA from Fordham University. She Formerly served on Advisory Council Passaic County Republican Club, former member of NY Association of Business & Professional Women, Jet Set of Upper Greenwood Lake, NJ and a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church, West Milford, NJ. Miss Alston lived in West Milford, NJ (1950-2007) and New York City, NY. She is survived by a sister Sabina A. Gould of Littleton, NC. Predeceased by her father, Rev. Henry H. Alston, and her mother, Pattie Lue Solomon, and two sisters, Ophelia Berry and Matilda Carr. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry and Pattie (Solomon) Alston. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1 at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Janet Macgregor-Williams of West Milford Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial

Becker, John O., 84, a retired machinist for Curtiss-Wright, Wood Ridge, where he worked for 22 years, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Chilton Hospital. He was a member of the NJPAC. He served in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Becker lived in Riverdale, New Jersey since 1954 and was previously from Saddle River. He is survived by his son, John A. of Riverdale; a brother, Arthur of Forked River, NJ; a sister, Mildred Leabold of Clifton, NJ. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys (Van Buskirk) 1979. He was the son of Otto and Barbara (Albertson) Becker. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale on Wednesday from 10 AM to Noon. Borges, Edmund M., 54 a building supply salesman from West Milford on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ. A resident of West Milford for the past twenty two years, he was a member of the West Milford Elks Club and the Costco HOG (Harley’s Owners Group). Cosgrove, Anna C. (Hampson), age 75, a retired telecommunications operator for Chillton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at her home in West Milford, NJ. Mrs. Cosgrove was a member of the West Milford Senior Citizens and lived in West Milford for 47 years and was previously from Paterson. She is survived by her sons, Edward, James and Thomas Cosgrove all of West Milford, NJ; two brothers, Jack Hampson of FL and Gerald Kelleher of Boonton; also survived by a grandchild. Mrs. Cusenza was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt; the West Milford Golden Age Circle and PASS/West Milford Intergenerational Chorus. Jennie was a Brooklyn College 1938 graduate and did her Masters studies in French language at Columbia University. Mrs. Cusenza lived in Hewitt, NJ since 1965 and was previously from Bayside, NY. Surviving are her husband Nicholas; two sons, Joseph of Montclair, NJ and Vincent of Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers, Bernard V. and Jack Scurti, and a sister, Mae Barone. She was born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Vincent and Giuseppina (Illari) Scurti. Craig, Kathleen M. (Vieira), 75, a retired computer operator for State Farm Insurance, Wayne, where she worked for 10 years, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Lakeview Nursing Home in Wayne, New Jersey. Mrs. Vieira was a member of the Bloomingdale Seniors, Bloomingdale Golden Agers, and a former member of St. Mary's Church, Pompton Lakes. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Ferrie) Vieira. She previously lived in Flushing, NY before moving to Bloomingdale 45 years ago. She is survived by her son, Derek J. of Bloomingdale; a brother, Joe Vieira of Taunton, MA; three sisters, Madeline Lima of Taunton, MA, Lillian Beals and Eileen both of Cape Cod, MA.
