Eugene E. Smith Jr., age 87, died Saturday April 9, 2005 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Born in Butler he resided there all his life. He was a lifelong member of the Butler United Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher and former treasurer for the church. He was a retired Production Manager for American Hard Rubber Co; Butler where he worked for 39 years, retiring in 1974. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Munson) Smith of Butler, a son Glenn Smith of Butler, two daughters Barbara Dugdale of Oak Ridge and Karen Wachter of Ventura, California, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday April 14 at 10 A.M. at Butler United Methodist Church, 5 Bartholdi Ave; Butler. Interment

Anthony L. Tomaselli Sr., age 58, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. Born in Paterson, has resided in Pompton Lakes for the past 32 years. He was an account manager for RPR Graphics, Mountainside. He was a Marine veteran. Survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Anthony Jr, of Butler; one daughter, Michele Tomaselli of Woodridge and one brother, John Tomaselli of Florida. Victor M."Flea" Ramirez, Jr. (18) of Pompton Lakes, on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Hackettstown Hospital. A second year student at Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ and a 2004 graduate of Pompton Lakes High School. An avid athlete, he was a wrestler in high school and college. Castro, Celia C. (Cruz), age 59, on Friday October 28, 2005 at Brockton Hospital, Brockton, MA. A resident of Wanaque since 1992 she lived in St. Petersburg, FL after moving there from the Philippines in 1990. Mrs. Castro was a registered nurse and was employed by the Wanaque Center since 1992. Mrs. Castro is survived by her husband, Florendo and four sons, Carlo of the Philippines, Christian and Conrad both of Wanaque and Cromwell of Bridgewater, NJ; four brothers, Leandro and Ramon Cruz of the Philippines, Soliman and Cesar Cruz both of CA; three sisters, Teresita Mendoza, Socorro Llanos and Sylvia Cortezano all of MA. Dora E. Swackhammer (Thompson), age 90, a retired nurse’s aide for Troy Hills Nursing Home, Parsippany, died Monday, November 07, 2005 at St Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick, NY. Mrs. Swackhammer lived in Hewitt, NJ for 55 years. She is survived by a son, Clifford Brooks of FL, and a daughter, Dora Swackhammer of Hewitt, NJ, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold. She was born July 02, 1915 in Noxon, PA the daughter of Stephen and Blanche (Holly) Thompson. Mrs. Dugger lived in West Milford, NJ for 42 years and was previously from Montclair. She is survived by her husband George, Jr.; two daughters, Rene Dugger of CA and Michelle Starr of FL; two sons, Jan Dugger of CA and Thomas Dugger of West Milford, NJ; one sister, Diane Wood of Montclair, NJ; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son, George Andre Dugger (7/05). She was born April 29, 1932 in Glen Ridge, NJ the daughter of Alexander and Eva (Mayo) Lee. Elva Rivellini, age 100, a retired weaver for Artistic ID Systems, Pompton Lakes, died Tuesday, November 08, 2005 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Haskell, New Jersey. Miss Rivellini was a lifetime resident of Wanaque. She was born July 28, 1905 in Haskell, New Jersey the daughter of Antonio and Liva (Prozzo) Rivellini. She is survived by her brother, Sam Venezia and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Rivellini, her mother, Liva (Prozzo), a brother, Joseph Venezia, and a sister, Edith McCrum. Bredefeld, Rudolph, age 68, owner of One Stop Packaging Company, Fairfield, died Friday, November 11, 2005 at his home in Oak Ridge, NJ. Mr. Bredefeld lived in Oak Ridge, for 25 years and was previously from Bloomingdale. He is survived by his wife Judith (Fisher), 3 sons, Mitchell Bredefeld of Bedminster, NJ, Garry Bredefeld of Fresno, CA, and Richard Erhardt of Pompton Lakes, NJ; 3 daughters; Nicole Bredefeld of Hillsborough, NJ, Cindy Bredefeld of Garden City, Long Island, NY and Kristine Loeffler of Denville, NJ; 6 grandchildren also survive. He was born November 28, 1936 in Bronx, NY the son of Edward and Emma (Widman) Bredefeld. James P. Gould, age 76, a retired Branch Manager for Wachovia Bank, Paterson office, where he worked for 60 years, died Monday, November 14, 2005 at Bloomingdale Health Care Center in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. He started working as a messenger for the bank and through the years advanced to Branch Manager. After retiring, he continued to work part-time for 10 more years as the manager of safe deposit vaults. He was an avid bowler with various teams. Mr. Gould lived his entire life at the home where he was born in Bloomingdale. He is survived by his sister Margaret Bychek of Clifton, uncle of Janice Brady of NJ, Allen Bychek of Fl, David Bychek of NJ and Shirley Hornyok of NJ, plus many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, his mother, Margaret (Mitchell) Gould, brothers Harold and Archibald Gould, sisters Helen Everson and Gladys Ryerson. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict. Visitation will be held at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Romaine, Nancy L. age 34 of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Wayne, NJ died on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. Miss Romaine lived in Las Vegas for 3 years. She is survived by her parents Wallace "Bud" and Janet Romaine, a sister Rose (Michael) Palasciano, a brother David (Jacki) Romaine, a niece, 3 nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Miss Romaine was born in Pequannock, grew up in Wayne, and was a graduate of Wayne Hill High School and Trenton State College. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 26, 2005 at St Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 395 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ 07470. Bishop, Robert, 76, a computer operator for Wallwork Bros. in West Caldwell died on Sunday, December 23, 2007. A resident of West Milford, he was formally of Bloomfield, NJ. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Cotton) Bishop; three sons, Robert and his wife, Cheri of East Stroudsburg, PA, David of Bloomfield, NJ and Scott and his wife, Gady of Mt. Royal, NJ. Cascio, Frank J., 84, beloved husband of Rose Lucy (Ventura) on Friday, January 18, 2008. He was a retired millwright for Ford Motors Company, Mahwah. Mr. Cascio lived in West Milford for 48 years. He was a member of American Legion Frank M. Sell Memorial Post 289, West Milford. Surviving are three daughters, Judith Wray, Franceen Osborne and Josephine Ferrara, a brother, Eugene, two sisters, Sally Carlini and Rosemary Diadato and five grandchildren, Matthew, Christine, Tiffany, Rebekah and Joshua. Predeceased by his brother, Joseph in 2004. He was born in Carbondale, PA the son of the late Michael and Josephine (Valenti) Cascio. He served in the Army during World War II and fought in the invasion of Normandy and the battles of the Ardennes, Central Europe, Northern France and the Rhineland . He was awarded the American Campaign Medal and the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze stars and attained the rank of Pfc.
