Kreger, Scott R., 51, on September 24, 2015. Son of the late Ronald E. Kreger and the late Marion T. (Michel) Kreger and 20 year resident of Hewitt coming from Ringwood, NJ. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for John Joseph Blasting as well as other companies. He is survived by brother Glenn Kreger (wife Paola) of Hewitt, sister Susan Kreger, nephew Ron Kreger and niece Deanna Kreger. Canine companions Sam and Harry past away before him. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Hough, John C., 76, passed away on October 28, 2015. Beloved husband of Anita (Feathers) Hough for 40 years, and son of the late Elizabeth and Robert G. Hough, he was a resident of West Milford, NJ for 38 years. John was employed as a letter carrier for the Bergenfield Post Office for 35 years, served in the Air Force and was also a member of the United Methodist Church at Newfoundland. Surviving are son Donald DeMeester, (wife AprilAnn), daughter Melissa Rhinesmith (husband Russell), brother James, and sister Elizabeth Hough. Austin, Rachel (Swingle), 90, passed away on October 27, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Lonnie Austin and daughter of the late Edith (Edwards) and George Swingle she was a 62 year resident of West Milford, NJ. Rachel was employed as a cafeteria worker for the West Milford School System, and a member of the Echo Lake Baptist Church where she was a pianist there as well as at the Calvary Bible Church. She also taught piano lessons. Surviving are sons Lonnie Austin Jr., David Austin, Daniel Austin, James Austin, daughters Alicia Moeller, and Teresa Shaw, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers George Swingle, Robert Swingle, and predeceased by a brother Wayne Swingle. Daly, Dennis, born February 17, 1943, lost his battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Son of the late Harold and Alida Daly, he was born in Paterson, where he started his career as a U.S. Postal employee in 1968. Dennis lived the last 45 years in West Milford. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Rudolph) and three sons: Christopher, wife Lourdes and grandson Lucas of Waltham, MA; Jeremiah and wife Kimberley of Burke, VA; and Dennis Patrick and wife Erin of Hopatcong, NJ. Dennis was one of nine siblings. Those surviving are Adele Halliwell of Paterson, Elizabeth Hamersma of Clifton, Marion Pipitone of Winter Springs, FL, and Kathleen Gallo of Sun City, AZ. Dennis was a past Grand Knight of Council #6139 of the Knights of Columbus. After retiring from the Post Office, he enjoyed playing golf and doing volunteer work. He was a trustee for Our Lady Queen of Peace church for the past six years. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, Friday, March 11, from 2-4 and 7-9. Pardalis, Terry, 87, husband of Victoria (Scapoli) on Tuesday. March 1, 2016. Born in Jamaica, NY, Mr. Pardalis resided in Manahawkin for 20 years. He had been self-employed as a furrier until the time of his retirement. He is survived by one son, Marc of Pompton Lakes, two daughters, Jan Pardalis of Colorado Springs, CO and Kim Cozzo of Randolph and five grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Nikolas, Tyler and Jenna. Duffy, Bobby of West Milford on July 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Elaine (Young) Duffy. Born in New York he was the son of the late Henrietta (Cavanaugh) and Bernard Duffy and was raised in the Village and the last of 14 children. Bobby was one of the best singers from the West Side of NYC and a proud US Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Robert and Keith, father-in-law of Merjeme and Christina, grandfather of Shane, Kate, McKayla and Ella Rose. Gibb, Joyce Loretta (Hiller), 80, wife of the late William Gibb (2000), died peacefully at home in Middletown, NY on June 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Harold & Bessie Hiller, was born in Texas Township, PA. Joyce formerly resided in Ringwood, NJ and Interlachen, FL. She was a salesperson, seamstress and a loving homemaker. Surviving are one son, Billyjo Gibb of FL, three daughters, Shereelynn Pascarella of Oak Ridge, NJ, Joyce Jody Wilcox and husband William Kenneth of Middletown, NY, Shawnalee Jean Niemasz and husband John of Fredon, NJ and one sister, Regina Murphy and husband Bill of Satsuma, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren Vincent & Brian Pascarella, Billyjo Jr.& David Lee Gibb, Jacqueline, Jessica & Tanner Wilcox, Kayla Jean, Abbie, and Jayden Niemasz; great grandchildren Alexis and Jayden Gibb, Stella & Sylas Gibb, William & Abby Casmay and Kaitlyn, Julia and Caleb Clay. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her son, Matthew Samuel Jeremy Gibb and son-in-law, Vincent Pascarella, as well as her brothers Alan, Harold and David Hiller and sisters Audrey Heatley and Charlotte Frank. Joyce loved spending time with her family and loved ones. Her passions were cooking, baking and crafting and she loved sharing the things she made with family and friends. Her favorite passtime was listening to her family and husband singing and playing guitar together. She also enjoyed listening to Gospel and Country music, and the company of her dogs. Cremer, Mary Ann, 36, of West Milford on Tuesday, August 2, 2017. Born in Pequannock, NJ she was the daughter of Brenda (Akers) and Herbert V. Cremer Sr. of West Milford. A lifelong resident of West Milford, Mary Ann was employed by the Borough of Saddle River as a clerk in the Building Department and was a member of Gentle Giants (large dog rescue) of Pompton Lakes, NJ. Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Herbert V. Jr. and Joe Cremer, one sister, Margaret Cremer all of West Milford and her fiancé Sean Whiteley of Oakland, NJ.
