JOHN "JACK" F. BURTON, 67, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died June 25 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had been a resident of Port Monmouth since 1971. Mr. Burton was a custodian for the Middletown Board of Education for 19 years before retiring in May. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. He was a member of the Middletown chapter of the Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks Lodge No. 2179; American Legion Post No. 338, Leonardo; the Bayshore Pigeon Club; and the Teamsters union. Mr. Burton served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Grace M. Samuels Burton; three sons, John F. Jr., Thomas P. and James C., and two daughters, Susan M. and Kerriann, all of Middletown; four brothers, Robert Burton of Staten Island, N.Y., Thomas Crinigan of Atlantic Highlands, Kevin Crinigan of Manahawkin and Owen Crinigan of Keansburg; five sisters, Kathleen Nasso, Maryann Cambeis, and Noreen Wyer, all of Middletown; Audrey Crinigan of Hazlet and Lois McClelland of Sayreville; and four grandchildren. JAMES ROBERT CASCIANO, 68, of Tinton Falls died June 30 at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived there until moving to Tinton Falls eight years ago. He was employed with the Jersey City Police Department for 25 years, and retired in 1988. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey R. Casciano of Hoboken; two daughters, Cheryl Casciano-Unruh of Moorestown, and Deanne Sheehan of Colts Neck; and four grandchildren. Interment
was at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
HILDA MAY JOHNSON, 90, of Red Bank died June 24 at Holmdel Convalescent Center. She was a lifelong resident of Red Bank. She was a teacher in several New Jersey school systems before retirement. MICHELE MARIE KELLY, 29, of Hazlet, died June 23 at Hackensack Medical Center. She was born in Red Bank. She was a hairstylist for Visage, Red Bank, the past seven years. She received her degree in criminal justice from Rowan College, Glassboro. Her hobbies included reading, hiking, music, and spending time with her two dogs. She is survived by her mother, Marie Kelly of Hazlet; her fiancé, Ed Leszczak of Hazlet; her grandparents, Avis and Raymond Myer Sr. of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; her uncle, Raymond G. WILLIAM T. MARASCO SR., 75, of Middletown died June 20 at Holmdel Convalescent Center. Born in Altoona, Pa., he lived in Newark prior to moving to Middletown 44 years ago. He was a tool-and-die maker for 46 years, before he retired in 1989. He was a member of the Middletown Seniors and the Keansburg Seniors. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Ann Policastro Marasco, in 1980. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William T. LOUISE "LULU" RACZKIEWICZ ROBB, 45, of Oakhurst, died June 21 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, she resided in the Wayside section of Tinton Falls, prior to moving to Oakhurst in 1977. She was a merchandising assistant for J.C. Penney, Eatontown, for the past five years. She was a graduate of Ocean Township High School. She was predeceased by her mother, Ann Sims Raczkiewicz. She is survived by her husband, Paul Joseph Robb of Oakhurst; two sons, Paul Joseph Robb Jr. of Oakhurst, and Michael John Robb of Virginia Beach, Va.; her father, Lawrence Raczkiewicz of Wayside; and three sisters, Lauri Hendrickson of Wayside, Lillian Olson of Bricktown, and Lorraine Raczkiewicz of Somerset. RITA A. "MOMMOM" SHEIK, 88, of Rumson, died June 20 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Elizabeth, she previously lived in West Orange and moved to Rumson in 1961. She was a secretary for N.J. Bell, Newark, until retirement. Prior to that, she was a secretary for 10 years at the Monmouth University library, West Long Branch. She was a communicant of and Eucharistic minister at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. She was also a former president and member of the Rosary Altar Society at Holy Cross Church. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Sheik Sr., in 1991. She is survived by two sons, William A. Sheik Jr. of Lakewood, and John M. Sheik of Rumson; two daughters, Carol A. Doran of Shrewsbury, and Gloria M. Rowett of Adelaide, Australia; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson, followed by interment at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
ANTOINETTE "ANN" C. EMMA, 84, of Rumson died June 14 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Hoboken, she previously lived in Fair Lawn and Union City, and relocated to Rumson six months ago. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included sewing clothes for her family and reading. She was predeceased by her husband, John M. Emma, in 1986. ROBERT J. IVAN, 63, of Howell, died June 11 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Perth Amboy, he previously lived in Tinton Falls and moved to Howell two years ago. He was the owner and operator of Allied Beverage Distributors, Perth Amboy for more than 40 years, and retired in 1995. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Hungary Church, and the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, both Perth Amboy. His hobbies included travel, landscaping, and reading. He was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helen Banas Ivan of Howell; his mother, Helen Ivan of Middletown; his sister, Louise Ivan of Denver; and a nephew. ELEANOR F. SCHOEBEL, 84, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died June 12 at home. Born in Newark, she lived in Fair Haven before moving to Middletown in 1954. She relocated to Lincroft in 1999. She was a secretary for several years for the Middletown school system, retiring in the early 1980s. Prior to that she was co-owner with her husband of the dance studio, Schoebel Studios. She was also a legal secretary and a model in New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Lorenz G. Schoebel, in 1997; her parents, Martin G. and Sophia Bross Sr.; and her brother, Martin G. Bross Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan Schoebel and Michael Duffy of Spring Lake Heights. Interment

HELEN P. WOOLLEY, 82, of West Long Branch died June 17 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Fla. Born in New York City, she previously lived in Long Branch prior to moving to West Long Branch in 1947. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, and St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. She was a charter member in the West Long Branch Post No. 411 American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, J. Russell Woolley Jr. of West Long Branch; four daughters, Janet W. Tucci and Mary W. Whalen, both of West Long Branch, Patricia W. McQuaid of Dallas, Texas, and Wendy W. Savoth, Wayside; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be on June 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch. MARIE C. COOK HALSEY, 83, of Shrewsbury, died June 17 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Manasquan, she previously resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Shrewsbury 51 years ago. She was a bookkeeper for Red Bank Auto Parts, Shrewsbury. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Red Bank, as well as the church's Circle Organization. She was a member of the Farmingdale Grange. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd A. Halsey. She is survived by three sons, Alan L. Halsey of Neptune, H. Clifton Halsey of Timpson, Texas, and Dennis I. Halsey of Ipswich, Mass.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Interment
