JULIA C. MORAN REIDY, 84, of Keansburg, died Dec. 21 at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation at Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she lived there until moving to Keansburg in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar Rosary Society at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Reidy, in 1996. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Reidy of Holmdel, John Reidy of Middletown, and Robert Reidy of Rumson; a daughter, Maryann Kinsky of Toms River; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. DONALD F. HANLON, 84, of Middletown, died Jan. 11 at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Shadow Lake Village, Middletown, the past 15 years. He was an accountant for Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam, New York City, for 40 years. He served with the U.S. Army-Air Force with the 93rd Bomber Group and the 8th Air Force Group during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. A former Hudson County Tennis Champion, he was an active member of Shadow Lake Village Tennis Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen M. Coffenberg Hanlon, in 1992; and his parents, Andrew J. and Margaret Keppler Hanlon. He is survived by two brothers-in-law, Kenneth J. Murphy of Little Silver, and Edward Blohm of Wood Ridge; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Finlayson of Red Bank, Patricia A. Murphy of Little Silver, and Mary L. Coffenberg of Shrewsbury; two nephews; four nieces; and four grand-nieces. Services were arranged by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. JACQUELINE HOEY, 33, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Dec. 23 at home. Prior to moving to Pompano Beach, she resided in Rumson. She was employed as a waitress by several area restaurants before moving to Florida. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. She was predeceased by her parents, George Hoey and Jane Skinner Hoey. Surviving are a son, Alex Hoey of Pompano Beach; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Marianna Hoey, Rumson; a brother, Michael Hoey, Atlantic Highlands; two sisters, Susan Kelty and Jennifer Hoey, both of Spartanburg, S.C.; and longtime companion George Fiore of Pompano Beach. HELEN F. CUNNINGHAM, 91, of Freehold died Dec. 23 at home. Prior to moving to Freehold in 1991, she had resided in Eatontown. She was employed as a secretary with Union Carbide in New York City. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Fort Monmouth and the Altar Society of the Fort Monmouth Post Chapel. She was involved with various volunteer organizations. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Charles J. Cunningham, in 1998. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Kirschner of Monroeville, Pa. HELEN A. LAPKA, 83, of Oceanport, died Dec. 30 at Avante at Red Bank, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, she lived there until moving to Red Bank six years ago. She was a dispatcher for the Oceanport Police Department for 18 years. Prior to that, she was a seamstress in Belmar. She was a member of the Oceanport First Aid Squad. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Alfretta Emmons Walker. She is survived by her aunt, Frances Parker; and several cousins. Services were arranged by John E. GEORGE W. ROSS II, 53, of Middletown died Dec. 28 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Red Bank, he previously lived in Keyport before moving to Middletown seven years ago. He was a chemical operator for International Flavors and Fragrances, Hazlet, for 30 years. He was a member of the Middletown Elks Lodge. He was a field official for more than 20 years for the Shore Conference Football Field, Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ross, in 1995, and his son, George W. Ross III. He is survived by two daughters, MaryJo Urbealiss of Middletown and Lisa Ross of Matawan; a brother, James Ross of Mission Viejo, Calif.; his companion, Maureen Burke of Middletown; and two grandchildren. AZUCENA G. PRICCACIANTE, 58, of Lakewood died Dec. 28 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in the Philippines, she lived in Old Bridge prior to moving to Lakewood six months ago. She worked in the Aircraft Service Department at Eastern Airlines, Newark, for many years and retired in 1988. She was a member of the Philippine American Club of NJ, and the Eastern Airlines Union. She was predeceased by her son, Peter D. Priccaciante Jr. in 1969; her father, Candido O. Gemina Sr., in 1990; her mother, Urbana S. Gemina, in 2000; and her sister, Doris S. Gemina. She is survived by her fiancé, Frank Caveney of Lakewood; her son, Marc A. Priccaciante of Somerset; her daughter, Stacy D. Priccaciante of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Judith Pagsisihan of Chicago, Ill., Norma S. Gemina of Indiana, and June G. Jacobe of the Philippines; four brothers, Candido Gemina Jr. of the Philippines, Elywarto Gemina of Chicago, Ill., Freddie Gemina of California, and Alex S. JOHN "JACK" J. MIRRO, 68, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet died Dec. 28 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Union Beach, he lived in Keyport prior to moving to West Keansburg 43 years ago. He owned and operated Jack’s Horse Farm, West Keansburg, for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, where he attained the rank of corporal. He was an avid horseman and trainer and was a founding member of the Central Jersey Horseman’s Association. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann Snyder Mirro of West Keansburg; a son, John A. Mirro of West Keansburg; three daughters, Theresa Marty of Tinton Falls, Lu-Ann Mirro of West Keansburg, and Patricia Lanno of Hazlet; three brothers, Alfred Mirro of Hazlet, Frank Mirro of Holmdel, and Robert Mirro of Colts Neck; a sister, Alice Brown of Arizona; and four grandchildren. LIONEL "LUCKY" SIMON JR., 57, of Toms River died Dec. 15 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Lakewood, he lived in Red Bank before moving to Toms River three years ago. He was a weigh master for Mazza & Sons, Tinton Falls. Prior to that, he owned and operated Simon’s Auto Wrecking from 1967-81. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps from 1961-67; he was deployed to Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and served during the Vietnam War. He was the current captain of the Red Bank Fire Police; and a member of the Marine Corps League, Lacey Detachment. He was a member of the Red Bank Fire Department Relief Engine Company for 27 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann Marie Clark Simon. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Lettieri Simon of Toms River; his father, Lionel Simon Sr.; his son, Lionel Simon III of Toms River; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Shawn Santos of Shrewsbury; his stepson, Michael Zator of Lakewood; two stepdaughters, Dawn and Kristine Zator of Toms River; three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and Lauren Santos of Shrewsbury; and three step-grandchildren, Ashley and Zachary Fawcett, and Kaitlin Meyer, all of Toms River. GREGG REIDY, 25, of Holmdel who has been missing since the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, New York City, was honored at a memorial service Sept. 30 at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. Reidy was born in Red Bank and lived in Middletown before moving to Holmdel in 1998. He was employed by Cantor Fitzgerald, Floor 101, World Trade Center, New York City. Prior to that, he worked with Henderson Brothers, Dermott Clancy Inc. and James A. Conlin, LLC. He graduated from Mater Dei High School, New Monmouth section of Middletown, and Manhattanville College, Purchase, N.Y. He was a practical joker, as well as a team player and dedicated businessman. He was predeceased by his older brother, Thomas Reidy in 1984. He is remembered by his parents, Mary and Thomas Reidy of Holmdel; two sisters and brothers-in-law and their children, Maureen, Matthew, Tara and Erin Yetman, all of Middletown; and Ann, James and Jay Curti, all of Middletown. EDWARD H. "TED" LUCKETT II, 40, of Fair Haven died Sept. 11 as a result of the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center. He was a native of Larchmont, N.Y., and resided in New York City before moving to Fair Haven in 1997. He was a partner and vice president of Cantor Fitzgerald, as well as product manager at E-Speed. He was a member of St. George’s by the River, Rumson. He was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio. He had a great love of the sea and enjoyed sailing, as well as soccer and the outdoors. He possessed a warm sense of humor and was a gentle, loving person. He was predeceased by his father, William Stone Luckett II. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Lindeman Luckett; and children Jennifer Grace, 7, William Stone III, 4, and Timothy Wyatt, 4 months, all of Fair Haven; his mother, Diana W. Luckett of Larchmont, N.Y.; two sisters, Kathryn Luckett-Brown of Boston and Alexandra W. Luckett of New York City; his brother, James Taylor Luckett of Cape Hatteras, N.C.; his father- and mother-in-law, Neil and Connie Lindeman of St. Michaels, Md.; his brother-in-law, Mark Lindeman of Seattle; and two nieces. His wife Lisa would like to express her heartfelt thanks to all who have reached out and given her strength to carry on for her and her children. A memorial service was at St. George’s by the River.
