Norma Cicetti
Wall resident Norma Elizabeth Cicetti passed away Saturday, May 3, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
She was the loving wife of the late Victor Cicetti; the mother of Fred, Pam and Llyod Cicetti; mother-in-law of Gale and Barbara Cicetti; grandmother of Michael, David and Robert Cicetti, and Jill Stange, Tina Perry and Elizabeth Devaney.
Norma will be remembered forever as a loving and generous friend, an amazing cook and seamstress, a Sunday painter, crack parlor game player, and in younger days, a tireless gardner and graceful dancer.
Her friends at Allaire Crossing had a special place in her long and wonderful life.
Contributions in her honor should be made to the charity of one’s choice.
A celebration of her life will be held in the Wall area at a date to be determined.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall.
Thomas Hanlon Jr.
Skillman resident Dr. Thomas G. Hanlon Jr., formerly of the Fairway Mews section of Spring Lake Heights and Union, passed away Wednesday, April 30 at the University Medical Center at Princeton surrounded by members of his family.
He was 82 years old.
Dr. Hanlon had been a dentist with his own practice in Newark and Union before retiring in 1996. His patients referred to him as “the dentist with golden hands.” He did his undergraduate studies at St. Vincent’s College, Latrobe, Pa. and went on to graduate from Georgetown University with his doctorate in dentistry.
Born in Newark, he had lived in Union for many years before moving to Fairway Mews, Spring Lake Heights, in 1997. He was a an active member of St. Paul’s Parish, Irvington, participating with the Knight of Columbus Council, the Holy Name Society and the Pre-Cana training for soon to be wed couples. He had also served his country as a captain in the U.S. Army.
Dr. Hanlon led a full and active life. Although his family was always the focus of his attention, he had many passions, including golf, fishing, boating, reading, walking on the beach and the NY Giants.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas G. and Anna Grodowski Hanlon Sr., and his late wife, Charlotte Clark Hanlon, in 1996.
He is survived by his devoted children and their spouses, Thomas G. III and Susan Hanlon, of Robbinsville, Joan and George Newcombe, of Menlo Park, Calif., and Spring Lake, Susan and Thomas Reinhard, of Princeton Junction, Deborah and Roger Miller, of Basking Ridge, Maureen and John Malone, of Gettysburg, Pa., and Margaret Mary and Dennis Martin, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; his siblings and their spouses, Dr. Robert and Dorothy Hanlon, of Kearny, William and Ellen Hanlon, of Far Hills, Mary Anne and Denis McAuliffe, of Jamestown, N.Y. and Carol and Stew Storms, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial
was held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway, North Brunswick, 08902-4301.

Carmela Buccafusco
Belmar resident Carmela Josephine Buccafusco passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
She was 79 years old.
Mrs. Buccafusco worked for her father and uncle as a dress maker for their companies, French Costume in West New York and French Frocks in Union City, before retiring.
She volunteered for many years at Christ Hospital in Jersey City. She was a communicant of both the Church of Saint Rose in Belmar and Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City. Born in Union City, Mrs. Buccafusco lived in Jersey City for 57 years before moving to Belmar all year round in 2005. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Spagnolo; and her sister, Frances Prisco.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Salvatore Buccafusco; her son, Gerald Buccafusco, of Basking Ridge and his wife, Marlene; her granddaughter, Marissa Buccafusco; her sister, Rose Kasbarian, of Union City; and her loving and devoted caregiver, Leandra Musgrave.
Entombment was held at Holy Cross Mausoleum, in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the Belmar First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 636, Belmar, 07719 would be greatly appreciated.

Louis Messadi
Wall resident Louis E. Messadi passed away Monday, April 28 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was 89 years old.
Louis was born in Union City and was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. before moving back to New Jersey. Louis owned and operated delicatessen is several towns in North Jersey for over 40 years, with the last one being in Ridgewood. Louis resided in Wayne for 37 years before moving to Wall 10 years ago. He enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas and most of all spending time with his family.
Louis was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Katherine, in 1998.
He is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Lois and Harry Firth, of Wall, Denise and Ralph D’Agostini, of Livingston and Renee and Mark Strohoefer, of Wall; seven grandchildren, Harry Firth Jr., Monique Bellasatto, Ralph, Keith, Kyle and Dennis D’Agostino and Kelsey Strohoefer; seven great- grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Breann, Louis, Mia, Keiran, and Nolan; one brother, George, of Arizona; and a sister, Frances, of California.
Interment was held at St. Catharine’s Mausoleum, Sea Girt.

Peggy Luchsinger
Jupiter, Fla. resident Peggy [Margaret] Matthews Luchsinger, formerly of Sea Girt, who attended Manasquan High School and graduated with a bachelors degree in English Literature from the College of New Jersey [formerly known as Trenton State College], then earned masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, passed away peacefully at her home in in presence of her greatest treasure, her immediate family, on Sunday, April 27.
She was 67 years old.
Cancer may have devastated her body, but her spirit continues to live on in all of those whose lives she touched, always, with gentleness, compassion, optimism, selflessness and love.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Walter; her daughter, Margery [Meaghan)] Luchsinger Flenner, West Palm Beach, Florida; her son, James Matthew Luchsinger and his wife, Bobbi, New Market, Tenn.; Bobbi’s two sons, Charles and Nathan Edelman; James’s three children -- on whom she doted, Emily, Codey and Jimmy Luchsinger; her brother, Col. [ret] Ronald M. Matthews and his wife, Betty, residing in Johnson City, Tenn.; her brother, John Henry Matthews, Eustis, Fla.; her niece, Jill Matthews Allen, husband, Jeffrey Allen, and their children, Andrew and Dana, all residing in Jackson Township; her nephew, Jeffrey Matthews, JD, his wife, Doris and their children, Janet and Phillip, residing in Denver; her nephew, Andrew Matthews, also in Denver; her cousin, William [Bill] Cahill, and his wife Barbara, residing in Palm Beach Shores, Fla.; Mr. Cahill’s daughter, Beth, residing in California and his son, Michael and wife, Laura, residing in Bricktown; her Uncle Robert [Bob] Morris and his wife, Dorothy, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; her cousins, Bob Morris, West Palm Beach, and Paul Morris, who resides with his family in Kansas; as well as many other cousins, nephews, nieces and the many hundreds of “her children, ” now grown men and women, whom she taught from 1961 through 1985 in the New Jersey public schools of Neptune, Manasquan, Brielle, and Point Pleasant Beach, who loved and respected her.
Her beautiful physical presence will be missed by us all. May her spirit rest in peace.
Edna Testa
Wall Township resident Edna Testa passed away Monday, May 5 at Tower Lodge Care Center, wall.
She was 96 years old.
Mrs. Testa was born in Newark and lived in Vailsburg most of her life before moving to Iselin and to Wall 10 years ago.
She was employed with Tung-Sol in Newark as a tube tester years ago.
She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and their senior citizen group in Iselin, as well as a volunteer with the ASPCA.
Edna and her late husband, Danny, were ballroom dancers who performed in many cities across the country.
Mrs. Testa was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Testa.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Marcolus and her husband, Sam, of Wall; her grandson, Richard Marcolus and his wife, Carolyn, of Atlantic Highlands; and her great-granddaughter, Lauren Marcolus.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Neary Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South St., Manasquan. A funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Denis Church, Manasquan, followed by entombment in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Gloria Collora
Wall Township resident Gloria F. Collora, whose daughter lives in Point Pleasant Beach, died Friday, March 28, at Burnt Tavern Manor, Brick.
She was 83 years old.
Mrs. Collora was born in Plainfield and resided in Brielle for 44 years before moving to Four Seasons at Wall.
A graduate of Southern Seminary College in Virginia, she was a member of the Manasquan River Golf Club for 54 years and was a long-active member of the 18-Holers Women’s Golf Group.
Mrs. Collora was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Theodore H. Collora, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a veteran of World War II; and her son, Theodore William Collora.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann Collora Nordell and her husband, Carl, of Point Pleasant Beach; her brother, Christian Fischer, and his wife, Nancy, of Brielle; her brother-in-law, Eugene Collora, of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandchildren, Peter Nordell, of Howell, Carl Nordell III and his wife, Monica, of Manasquan, Carrie Nordell, of Manasquan, and Kristen Collora, of Florida; and great-grandchildren, Ariyonne Collora, Lukas Nordell and Lily Nordell. She will also be missed by her daughter-in-law, Diane Martin.
The family will hold a private ceremony.

Cynthia S. Facciola Sullivan
Point Pleasant resident Cynthia S. Facciola Sullivan died Monday, March 31, in Ocean Medical Center, Brick.
She was 51 years old.
She was born in Jersey City and raised in North Bergen. She moved to Point Pleasant 16 years ago.
She worked for the state of New Jersey Division of Taxation processing income tax returns. She also worked for Point Pleasant Hospital in the emergency room as an ER registrar. She was most recently employed as a sales associate with Marshalls in Toms River, where she had many wonderful friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Timothy J. Sullivan; two sons, Christopher and his wife, Colleen, of Point Pleasant, and Marc and his wife, Jamie, of Saylorsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Erin Sullivan and Caitlin Sullivan, both of Point Pleasant; her mother, Doris Facciola, of Toms River; two sisters, Karen Jasinski and her husband, Ziggy, of Toms River, and Carol Ann Antonucci and her husband, Alan, of Secaucus; five grandchildren, Brian, Gabriel, Emma, Avery and Jake; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road at Route 70, Brick. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial
will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
