Linda P. Longo Vizzone
Lavallette resident Linda P. Vizzone died Thursday, March 6, in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
She was 58 years old.
She was a deputy borough clerk in Lavallette for 18 years. Born in Nutley, she lived in Glen Ridge before moving to Lavallette 30 years ago.
Linda was a strong-willed woman who always had a positive attitude. She loved to walk to work, no matter how many people offered her a ride.
One of her cherished pleasures was sitting at home enjoying a cup of tea with her son, Michael, and watching television. Linda was well-known for all the wonderful cards she would write to her family and friends celebrating birthdays and every possible holiday or occasion.
Although she worked full time for the Borough of Lavallette, she also worked weekends for the Lavallette Hardware Store and Seashore Delights Candy Store, where she enjoyed dealing with all the local residents of her community. She also was a former teachers aid for the Lavallette Elementary School. She was a communicant of St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church, Lavallette.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael P., in 1978; and her father, Angelo F. Longo.
She is survived by her three sons, Christopher Michael and his wife Emily Vizzone, of New Port Beach, Calif., Paul Angelo and his wife Kristy Vizzone, of Wall, and Michael Anthony Vizzone, of Lavallette; her mother, Louise Longo, of Lavallette; three brothers, Robert James Longo, of Chadwick Beach, Joseph Angelo Longo, of Point Pleasant Beach, and John Anthony Longo, of Sea Girt; three sisters, Elaine Ann Posa, of Toms River, Michelle Laura McGary, of Bay Head, and Angela Christine Fioretti, of Point Pleasant Beach; and two grandchildren, Jack and Ella Vizzone.
Colonial Funeral Home, Brick was in charge of arrangements. Burial
took place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair.

Jennell H. Lent
Point Pleasant resident Jennel H. Lent died on Friday, March 7 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
She was 88 years old.
Born in Charlotte, N.C., she had lived in Jersey City and summered in Point Pleasant for many years before moving there permanently.
A homemaker, Mrs. Lent liked to knit and enjoyed writing letters to her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Parker Lent.
She is survived by her three daughters, Victoria Dyer, of Maryville, Tenn., Patricia Presley, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Madeline Green, of Troy, Ill. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of Tennessee, and by many friends and neighbors.
The family is planning a memorial service to be held at a later date. A private cremation was arranged by The Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.
Agnes Keim
Neptune resident Agnes E. Murphy Keim, whose son lives in Point Pleasant, died on Saturday, March 8 in Tower Lodge Care Center of Wall Township.
She was 83 years old.
Born in Keyport, Mrs. Keim remained a lifelong resident of the Shore area. She was employed with Bendix of Eatontown in the tube department from 1953 until 1963.
Mrs. Keim was predeceased by her parents, Frank Murphy and Elizabeth Ludvigsen Murphy.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, David H. Keim, of Neptune; her loving children, Douglas David Keim, of Point Pleasant, Michael Murphy Keim and his wife, Ria, of Wall, and Patricia Elizabeth Montgomery, of the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township; a brother, Frank Murphy, of Bradley Beach; and her twin sister, Winifred Van Brunt, of Toms River. Also surviving are her three very special grandchildren, Mike, Kelly and Shannon.
Entombment was held at Monmouth Memorial Park, Route 33, Tinton Falls.

Raymond W. Graefe
Point Pleasant resident Raymond W. Graefe died Thursday, March 6, 2008 in his home.
He was 82 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, he had lived in Lakewood, residing in Point Pleasant for 25years.
Mr. Graefe proudly served his country in the Army during World War II in both Normandy and the in Philippines Liberation. He was awarded five Bronze Stars for his service.
A retired newspaper pressman, he had worked for the Lakewood Daily Times and the Asbury Park Press.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Marie Conroy, and by his granddaughter, Jessica A. Conroy.
He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Dawn Choha Graefe; his grandson, Owen T. Conroy; and by his son-in-law, Thomas J. Conroy.
A private cremation was arranged by The Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.
Helen Lakatos Keller
Point Pleasant resident Helen Lakatos Keller died on Sunday, March 9 at the Burnt Tavern Rehabilitation Center, Brick.
She was 91 years old.
Born in Woodbridge, she was formerly of South Amboy, residing in Point Pleasant for 22 years.
Mrs. Keller had worked as a professional seamstress and also as a nursing aide at South Amboy Hospital.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church, Point Pleasant Beach, she had served as a deaconess and was a very active member.
A beloved wife and loving mother, she was predeceased by her husband, William.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Marie Keller, of Waldwick, John and Janet Keller, of Maine, and Michael and Ruth Keller, of Spotswood; and two daughters, Caroline Keller, of Point Pleasant, and Barbara Schnuck, of Matawan. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Lakatos; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and by many dear friends.
Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church, River and McLean avenues, Point Pleasant Beach, were a service to celebrate her life will be begin at 10 a.m. Interment
will follow at Old Tennent Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Vilma Mary Giananti Iovino
Point Pleasant resident Vilma Mary Giananti Iovino died Monday, March 3 in the Claremont Care Center two days prior to her 99th birthday
She was 98 years old.
Born in Queens, to the late Andrew and Elvira Ugolino Giananti, she had lived in Woodbridge and in Newark, coming to Point Pleasant in 1947, retiring to Florida in 1971, and returning to Point Pleasant 19 years ago.
She was a member of the Senior Beehive at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant and had worked as a punch press operator for American Mica, Manasquan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlo.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Claudia Iovino, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Carlo Jr. and Mary Lou Iovino, of Point Pleasant; and her daughter and son-in-law, Olympia and Larry Bush, of Scottsdale, Ariz. She is also survived by her sister, Reina Menchey; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Iovino Newman, Jeffery Iovino, Jonathan Iovino, Lisa Iovino Nevolo, Sandra Iovino, Brenda Iovino Hartley, Gerald Bush and James Bush; and seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Skyler, Patrick, Craig Jr., Taylor and Morgan.

Bernard Dixon
Toms River resident Bernard Dixon, whose sister lives in Point Pleasant, died Sunday, March 9, in Rose Garden Nursing Home, Toms River.
He was 79 years old.
Born in Newark, he lived in Elizabeth before moving to Toms River 48 years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Marcel Dixon; and his brother, Eugene Dixon.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna Haupt Dixon; a son, Robert Dixon, of Toms River; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and John Clayton, of Toms River, and Christine and Eric Olsen, of Toms River; a sister, Lynn Wurtzberger, of Point Pleasant; and five grandchildren, John, Bryan, Courtney, Jessica and Amanda.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Justin’s Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. Committal will be private.

Adam A. Brower, III
Point Pleasant resident Adam A. Brower died on Friday, March 7 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick.
He was 82 years old.
Born in Lovelandtown to the late Adam A. Jr. and Mary Atkinson Brower, he was a lifelong Point Pleasant resident.
He proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Brower had worked as a stationary engineer, retiring from Point Pleasant Hospital.
He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks, Point Pleasant Lodge No. 1698; the L.O.O. Moose, Point Pleasant Lodge No. 1549; and the American Merchant Marine Veterans; and was a parishioner of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Bay Head.
He was predeceased by his son, John Adam Brower, and by his stepson, Patrick Catello.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline Carris Brower; his stepson, Dennis Donnelly and his wife, Arlene; two daughters-in-law, Jo Ann Onello and Terry Catello; his grandchildren, Deborah, Susan, Pat, Daniel, Steven, Dean, Scott, Shawn, Nick, Dennis Jr., John, Patrick and Michael; his great-grandchildren, Ty, Damon, Elle, Justin, Dylan, Erik and Nicholas; and by his best friend, Vincent Ardito.
The Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, was in charge of arrangements. Interment
took place at White Lawn Cemetery, Point Pleasant.
