Thomas E. Morse
Brick resident Thomas E. Morse, formerly of Sea Girt, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Meridian Sub Acute Rehab Center, in Wall.
He was 78 years old.
Mr. Morse was a purchasing agent for PSE&G in Newark before retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mark’s RC Church, in Sea Girt, and a member of AA of Monmouth County for 27 years.
Born in Boston, Mass., he lived in Elizabeth, Edison and Sea Girt before moving to Brick two years ago.
Predeceased by his brother, Warren Morse and a sister, Lillian Christensen, he is survived by his son and daughter-in- law, Brian and Debra Morse, of Manasquan; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Henry Webster, of Allenwood, his former wife, Theresa Morse, of Brick; a brother, William Morse, of Brick; sisters, Barbara Balcom, of Melrose, Mass. and Mary Shea, of Boston, Mass. He also leaves a grandson, Thomas Morse, of Manasquan.
Burial
was held at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.

Louise T. Munson
Wall resident Louise T. Munson, of Waterford Glen, died on Friday, Nov. 23, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, in Neptune, surrounded by family members.
She was 100 years old.
Formerly of Roseland and Leisure Village East in Lakewood, she was an elementary school teacher in Clark School in East Orange in the 1940s and later taught primarily fourth grade in Cedar Grove until her retirement.
She was the past president of the Roseland Board of Education in the 1950s. She loved teaching, gardening, traveling and was an avid bridge player. She was a lover of nature and had an inquisitive mind. She was ahead of her time in understanding the importance of good nutrition and a healthful lifestyle.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, in 1968 and two grandsons, Stuart Munson, of Burlington, Vt. and Rick Wood, of Brielle.
Surviving are her brother, Walton Tombari and his wife, Eunice, of Southington, Conn.; her sister, Esther Lawton, also of Southington, Conn.; two sons, Randall Munson, of Burlington, Vt. and Douglas Munson and his wife, Sally, of Essex Fells; and a daughter, Lois Wood, of Brielle. She will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren, Karen Munson, Westford, Vt., Joshua Munson, Morrisville, Vt., Lois Anne Wood Desiderio and husband, Alan, of Princeton Junction, Scott Wood and wife Nancy, of Mt. Holly, Craig Wood and wife, Wendy, of Brick, Jennifer Munson, of Mendham, Douglas Munson Jr., of Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, in Essex Fells, to celebrate her life.
George Thompson
Cream Ridge resident George A. Thompson, formerly of Wall died suddenly on Dec. 2, at his home..
He was 45 years old.
Born in Neptune, he was a long time resident of Wall before moving to Cream Ridge a short time ago.
An avid outdoors man, George enjoyed the time spent with his close friends skiing, camping, canoeing and riding his All Terrain Vehicles. He was employed with Master Craft Welding, of Neptune City, for over 20 years doing the layout design for buildings by taking the details noted on the drawings and fabricating the steel beams and columns.
George is survived by his brother, Richard Thompson; nephew, Tony Rinaldi; long time friends, Billy Hurley, Scott and Mary Schmitt; and his former wide, Lena Hall.
Visitation will be held Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, 2652 Highway 138, Wall [adjacent to the Route 18 north entrance]. A service will be offered at 9 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Janet Freed officiating.
Cremation will be private.

Amelia DiGuilmi
Wall Township resident Amelia DiGuilmi passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
She was 82 years old.
Born in Sorrento, Italy, she had come to the United States in 1953, settling in North Bergen. She had lived there for 34 years until moving to Wall Township in 1987 to help raise her beloved grandchildren.
Amelia considered her greatest accomplishment in life her family and she was very proud of everything they did.
She was a graduate of the University of Naples and had been a school teacher in Italy prior to coming to the U.S. Upon her arrival, she worked for her brothers business, Scala’s Beauty Supply, West New York. Since moving to Wall Township, she has been a Communicant of St. Rose Church, Belmar.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rudolph, in November of 1982; her three brothers, Michele, Luigi and Leonardo Scala; and her two sisters, Flora Savarese and Maria Donadio.
Surviving are her three devoted daughters, Deborah Romanoff with whom she lived, Michele and Philip Dulanie and Laura and Gary Bale, all of Wall Township; her brother, Salvatore and wife, Clotilde Scala, of North Bergen; her three beloved grandchildren, Melissa Dulanie, and Leah and Dylan Bale; her DiGuilmi in-laws, Gilda, Anne, Michael, Theodore and Josephine; and countless nieces and nephews in Italy and the U.S.
Burial
was held at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.

Joseph Hodl
Wall Township resident Joseph Hodl died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Sunnyside Manor Care Center, Wall Township.
He was 96 years old.
He was employed for 33 years at the Grumman Aircraft Corporation and retired as a Plane Captain. Born in New York City, he lived most of his life in Medford, Long Island, N.Y., before moving to Sunnyside Manor in 2001.
He was a parishioner of Saint Sylvester’s R.C. Church, Medford, Long Island.
During his lifetime, Joseph was an avid gardener and photographer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Anne of 63 years, in 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph of Spring Lake Heights and Robert of Tallahassee, Fla; three granddaughters, Lisa Anne, Sara Beth and Jennifer; and one great granddaughter, Mia Lani Jorgensen. Joseph also leaves behind his dear care givers at Sunnyside Manor.

Carolyn Wilkins
Manasquan resident Carolyn Wagner Wilkins passed away on Dec. 1.
She was 86 years old.
She was born on March 15, 1921 in Allenwood, to the late Raymond Wagner and Ida Errickson Wagner. Raised in Adelphia, she was a graduate of Freehold High School.
A veteran of WWII, she enlisted in the W.A.V.E.S. and was stationed in Washington, D.C., as a draftsman.
Together with her husband, Carolyn co-owned Wilkins Men’s Shop, Manasquan, for 45 years. She was an active member of Manasquan United Methodist Church, since 1967 and loved her involvement in the Miriam Circle there. Prior to her move to Manasquan from Spring Lake Heights, she was a Sunday School teacher at St. Andrew’s and Lake Como United Methodist Churches. Additional volunteer organizations in which she was active included the Manasquan Public Library and Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wm. S. Wilkins and son, Lawrence Wilkins.
Surviving are daughters, Carol Wilkins Kirkman and Judith Wilkins; son-in-law, Michael Kirkman; granddaughter, Jaclyn Kirkman and daughter-in-law, Donna Wilkins. Also surviving are siblings, Ruth Schreiber, Dorothy Blatchley, Adrienne Aumock, Arthur Wagner, William Wagner and her many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
As an avid reader and supporter of the library, in lieu of flowers, mother would be honored for you to consider donations to the Manasquan Public Library, Broad Street, Manasquan.
Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.

Elinor Speicher
Brick resident Elinor Jane [Underhill] Speicher, formerly of Brielle, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, at JFK Hospital, in Edison.
She was 80 years old.
Born in Lakewood, her family soon moved to Brielle, then moved to a retirement community in 2000. Mrs. Speicher graduated Manasquan High School. She graduated from the Philadelphia General School of Nursing with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned her masters from Trenton State College.
She retired in the early 1990s from Point Pleasant Hospital as the night Supervisor of Nursing. Prior to that, she was a school nurse in the Manasquan and Toms River School systems.
She was the last active Charter Member of the Church in Brielle. She was active in various organizations in her church and community.
She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Speicher, in 1990. She was also predeceased by her brothers, H. Melvin Underhill Jr. and Charles Underhill.
Surviving are her son, Stephen Eric Speicher and his wife, Judy; and her three grandsons Stephen, Brandyn and Daniel, all of Brielle. Also surviving are her two sister-in-laws and their children.
Funeral services will be held today at the Church in Brielle, at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church in Brielle.
