SALLY M. HIGGINS, 84, of Aberdeen died June 13 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Aberdeen the past 40 years. She was a saleswoman for J.C. Penney, Parlin, for 15 years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Higgins Sr. in 1992; and her sisters, Helen Deghuee and Mary Murphy. She is survived by her son, John Higgins Jr. of Point Pleasant; four daughters, Barbara Boksan of Bethlehem, Pa., Betty Williams of Fair Haven, and Rosemary Higgins and Margie DeBeVoise, both of Aberdeen; her brother, Charles Randel of Port Washington, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. JANE WILKINSON BANYARD, 93, of Middletown died June 18 at Brighton Gardens, Middletown. Born in East Orange, she lived in Little Silver and Bermuda prior to moving to Middletown four years ago. She was a retired sales clerk for H.A. & E. Smith’s Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, for 34 years. She volunteered at the King Edward the V Memorial Hospital, and the Bermuda Sailor’s Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie F. Banyard in 1958, and a sister, Barbara McClellan. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard O. and Sharon Banyard of the Lincroft section of Middletown, and Frederick P. and Doris Banyard of Savannah, Ga.; her sister, Lois Hardiman of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. FELIX E. BAGUCHINSKY SR., 79, of Little Silver died June 20 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Marlin, Pa., he lived in Kearny, Silverton and Manchester prior to moving to Little Silver recently. He was the owner and operator of Felix & Sons Co., Kearny, retiring in 1976. He was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Anne Baguchinsky of Little Silver; four sons, John Baguchinsky of Marco Island, Fla., Felix Baguchinsky Jr. of Little Silver, Stanley Baguchinsky of the Dayton section of South Brunswick and Joseph Baguchinsky of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; his brother, Stanley Baguchinsky of Chatham; his sister, Alice Isdanavage of Jamesburg; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. MARGARET MEDOLLA, 87, of Brick died June 21 at Brick Hospital. Born in Centerville, she resided in Keyport prior to moving to Brick seven years ago. She was a seamstress at Komars Inc., Keansburg, for 33 years, retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of and member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Medolla in 1982; her son, Robert Medolla in 1962; and two brothers, John and Jerry Nappi. She is survived by four sons, Ralph Medolla of Houston; Niel Medolla of Mays Landing; John Medolla of Toronto; and Jerry Medolla of Brick; three brothers, Anthony Nappi of Manchester, Michael Nappi of Tinton Falls, and Anniello Nappi of Whiting; her sister, Immaculate Ziegler of Keyport; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
EDWARD R. HULSE, 63, of Ely, Minn., formerly of Freehold Township, died June 22 at Miller-Dwan Medical Center, Duluth, Minn. Born in Long Branch, he lived in Freehold Township for many years before moving to Missouri, then Minnesota. He was an electrician. He was a former member of the New Jersey National Guard in Freehold. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and John; and two sisters, Dorothy Sehl and Marjorie Laudenslager. He is survived by two sons, Brian K. of Kansas City, Mo., and Gary E. of Red Bank; a daughter, Janice P. Hulse of Shrewsbury; a brother, William G. of Freehold Township; a sister, Beatrice M. Tymesko of Freehold Township; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service was held in the Adelphia section of Howell, with the Rev. John Kleinheksel officiating.
EDITH B. RUSSO, 79, of Wayne, formerly of Red Bank, died June 28 at New Jersey Hospice at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wayne. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Red Bank before to moving to Wayne. She was a retired, self-employed bookkeeper. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Russo. She is survived by her cousin and his wife, Geoffrey and Susan Burns of Wayne; her nephew, Matthew Rollings; and her niece, Susan Rollings. Interment

JOHN A. TARPEY, 79, of Middletown Township died June 29 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in Nutley prior to moving to Middletown in 1960. He was employed in the operations and sales division at Republic Carloading, New York, for 25 years. He was also president of John A. Tarpey Associates, working as a consultant until retirement in 1989. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Larkin. He was a parishioner and member of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was also a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bloomfield. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Nancy Tarpey of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters and one son-in-law, Bernadette M. Tarpey of Tinton Falls, Catherine R. Tarpey of Edison, and Regina T. and John Kling of Middletown; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Burial

THOMAS A. HAYDEN SR., 78, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown died June 30 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in Middletown Township for 52 years. He was a member of the Metal Lathers Union, Local No. 43, New York, for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Mae Lawless Hayden in 1987. He is survived by three sons, Thomas Hayden Jr. and Brian Hayden, both of Port Monmouth, and John Hayden of Albrightsville, Pa.; four daughters, Susan Eastmond of Tinton Falls, Patricia Brady of Jackson, Anna Mae Hayden of South Riding, Va., and Nancy McConville of the River Plaza section of Middletown; two brothers, William Hayden of Port Monmouth, and Vincent Hayden of Prattsville, N.Y.; two sisters, Elizabeth Flynn of Emerson, and Eleanor Zarkivach of Keyport; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. MICHAEL R. FECHILLAS, 60, of East Brunswick died June 15 in the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark. Surviving are his wife, Linda Warger Fechillas; a daughter, Sandra Fechillas of Red Bank; his mother, Josephine Janowski Fechillas of Linden; a sister, June Jacobs of Brick; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gloria and Myron Warger of North Brunswick. LORENZO ILARRAZA, 92, of Long Branch died July 6 at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Long Branch for more than 20 years. He was a retired employee of the Sayreville golf course, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a member of Spanish Assemblies of God Church, Long Branch. He is survived by his wife, Cristina Ilarraza of Long Branch; two sons, Ivan Ilarraza of Florida, and Cecelio Ilarraza of New Jersey; three daughters, Nancy Ilarraza of New York, Dolores Crespo of Red Bank, and Delia Johnson of Georgia; three brothers, Theodore Ilarraza of Red Bank, Jose Ilarraza of Puerto Rico, and Basilio Ilarraza of Neptune; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
