Ruth M. Harrington
Point Pleasant resident Ruth Marie Rochford Harrington died Wednesday, April 27 in her home.
She was 84 years old.
Born in Bayonne, Mrs. Harrington lived there and in Brielle before moving to Point Pleasant 55 years ago.
She was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Point Pleasant Beach, and a member of the Third Order of the church.
She was a member of the Manasquan Gulf Club, and was a volunteer for 10 years with the animal shelter in Brick Township.
She was predeceased by her brother, William Rochford.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, John Harrington; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Rochford, Phoenix, Ariz., and Dorothy Harrington, Bayonne; one brother-in-law, Daniel Harrington, Bayonne; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were from the Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach.

Dorothy DeMartino
Brick Township resident Dorothy Shepard DeMartino, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Monday, May 2 in Meridian Nursing Home, Brick.
She was 83 years old.
Born in Bayonne, Mrs. DeMartino lived there and in Point Pleasant before moving to Brick 12 years ago.
Mrs. DeMartino and her husband owned Mario’s Motor, Point Pleasant, for 20 years. She was also a homemaker.
She was predeceased in 2003 by her husband, Mario.
Surviving are her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard, and Nicholas and Diane, all of Brick; her sister, Jeannette Romeo, Millburn; four grandchildren, Christa, Nikki, Mark and Ricky; and four great-grandchildren, Kylee, Meghan, Gina, and Glenn.
Funeral arrangements are from the Colonial Funeral Home, Brick. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in the funeral home
David S. Leung
Point Pleasant resident David S. Leung, “Man, Hong,” died Monday, May 2 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was 42 years old.
Born in Hong Kong, China, Mr. Leung was raised in North Plainfield and moved to Point Pleasant 15 years ago.
He was employed for 20 years as a mechanical engineer with Lakehurst Naval Air Station.
He was an active volunteer with the Point Pleasant First Aid Squad, and was the assistant coach of the St. Denis soccer team, Manasquan.
He was predeceased by his father, Shui C. Leung.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Rondholz Leung; his mother; Solin Leung; two stepdaughters, Siobhan and Deirdre O’Donnell, Point Pleasant; and three brothers, Vitus L, of New Mexico, Peter L., Bridgewater, and Michael, Plainfield.
Funeral arrangements are from the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Denis Church,Manasquan.

Jean Eleanor Dolan
Wall Township resident Jean Eleanor Gettis Dolan, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Friday, Dec. 17 in her home.
She was 83 years old.
Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Mrs. Dolan lived in Carteret and Point Pleasant before moving to Wall three years ago.
She was a parishioner of St. Martha’s Church, Point Pleasant, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and was a special minister of Holy Communication.
She was a loving wife and mother.
She was predeceased in 2000 by her husband of 52 years, Edward James Dolan, and in 1957 by her daughter, Theresa.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. Jr. and Robin, Egg Harbor Township, and Robert V. and Maria H., Allenwood, Wall; four daughters and one son-in-law, Margaret A. Dolan, Wall, Jean E. Dolan, Old Bridge, Mary E. Dolan, East Stroudsburg, Pa., and Grace M. and William, Beaufort, S.C.; her brother and her sister, both of Canada; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Anthony L. Bonelli
Lakewood resident Anthony L. Bonelli, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Thursday, Dec. 16 in community Medical Center, Toms River.
He was 59 years old.
Born in Point Pleasant, Mr. Bonelli lived in Brick Township and Point Pleasant before moving to Lakewood three years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Gladys Bonelli, and by his brother, Frank.
Surviving are two brothers, John, Toms River, and Vincent, Iron City, Tenn.; and one sister Grace Marie Roberts, Iron City, Tenn.

Dorothea M. Bickens
Point Pleasant resident Dorothea M. Bickens died Sunday, Dec. 12 in Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant.
She was 80 years old.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Bickens lived in the Woodbridge area and North Olmstead, Ohio before moving to Point Pleasant one and one-half years ago.
She was employed as a bookkeeper and waitress with Square Circle Department Store, Old Bridge, before retiring.
She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband, Francis.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Patricia, Point Pleasant Beach; one daughter, Maureen Bickens, San Francisco; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Joshua.

Brandon Chevalier-Kolling
Brooklyn, N.Y., resident Brandon Chevalier-Kolling, whose aunt lives in Point Pleasant, died Friday, Dec. 17 in Dallas, Texas.
He was 24 years old.
Born in New York City, Brandon lived in Ocean Township before moving to Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was a 1998 graduate of Ocean Township High School, and attended Marymount Manhattan College, New York City.
He was an accomplished drummer who performed in Europe and the United States while touring with several bands in the punk rock genre.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Loretta Brandon Kolling and Edward Kolling Sr., and Bernadine and William Chevalier.
Surviving are his parents, Edward Kolling and Judith Chevalier-Kolling, Ocean Township; one brother Tyler, and one sister, Maia, both of Ocean Township; his aunts and uncle, Frank and Sherri Keenan, Highlands, Linda Bollinger, Point Pleasant, Patricia Johnson, Wanamassa, and Carolyn Rozkowski, Brick Township; many cousins; and many friends, and former and present band members; and his two pets, Scarlet and Tulu.

Kate A. Vorel
Holmdel resident Kate A. Vorel, whose son lives in Point Pleasant Beach, died Monday, Dec. 20 in Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel.
She was 96 years old.
Born in Ireland, Mrs. Vorel came to the United States in 1926, settling in New York City before moving to Keansburg and Keyport for the last 26 years.
She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg.
She was a member of the Keansburg and Keyport Senior Citizens, and was an avid bingo player.
She was predeceased in 1978 by her husband, Frank Vorel.
Surviving are three sons, James, Toms River, Edward, Point Pleasant Beach, and Neil, Keansburg; one daughter, Kathleen Walk, Spring Lake; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
