Paul J. Feldman
Ocean Township resident Paul J. Feldman, whose daughter lives in Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, Dec. 1 in his home.
He was 66 years old.
Born in New York City, Mr. Feldman lived in Freehold before moving to Ocean Township 12 years ago.
He was a graduate of The Kent School in Connecticut, earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1960, and earned a juris doctorate from Rutgers Law School in 1964.
Mr. Feldman was an attorney in private practice serving the Asbury Park and Red Bank areas. He was then employed with the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office as senior staff attorney from 1978 to 2001. During his 40-year career, he was instrumental in getting Rubin “Hurricane” Carter’s appeal a retrial leading to his ultimate vindication and acquittal.
He was a member of the Monmouth Bar Association from 1964-2004, serving as an officer and trustee for 20 years and as president from 1988-1989.
He was a member of the Hollywood Golf Course in New Jersey.
His generosity and kindness touched many lives and he will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joel Feldman, M.D., and Suzanne J. Friedland Feldman.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Nancy Long Feldman; two daughters, Randi Feldman, Point Pleasant, and her fiance, Shaun Lutolf, and Lori Delaney and her husband, Richard, Hollywood, Md.; one brother, Henry S., Independence, Minn.; five grandsons, Austin, Shaun, Alexander, Jack and Ryan; and his Wheaton Terrier, Amber.

Kenneth B. Glass
Point Pleasant resident Kenneth B. Glass died Monday, Nov. 22 in his home.
He was 84 years old.
Born in Newark, Mr. Glass was a longtime resident of Bay Head before moving to Point Pleasant in 1996.
He was employed for over 30 years as an analyst with Prudential Insurance Co., Newark, before retiring in 1978.
Mr. Glass was a Bay Head councilman for over 25 years, serving from 1963 to 1974 and from 1977 to 1991, and was president of the council from 1970 to 1974. He was the Borough of Bay Head Emergency Management Coordinator for many years.
He was a life member of the Bay Head Fire Co. No. 1, joining in 1963, and serving as president in 1970 and 1971, and holding numerous other offices including secretary and treasurer.
He was a member of VFW Post No. 4715, Point Pleasant Beach.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a 2nd lieutenant in the North Africa and Mediterranean campaigns. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster. and the Meritorious Service in Action award. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1946, and joined the New Jersey National Guard, where he was promoted to captain, and was honorably discharged in 1952.
He was predeceased in 1976 by his wife, Jean; and by his two brothers, Jack in 1991 and Edward in 1945.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth E. and Mary, Bay Head, Richard and Debi, Hollywood, Fla., and Russell and Phyllis, Berkeley Township; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn and Joseph Rock, Houston, and Barbara Wallace, Richmond, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wallace F. and Lorraine, St. Michaels, Md.; one sister-in-law, Emma, Brick Township; 10 grandchildren, Stacey, Jim, John, Michael, Michelle, Marcy, Tim, Susan, John-Jacob and Sara-Jean; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were from the Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach. A fireman’s service, along with a memorial service, will be held at 11 a.m. next Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Bay Head Fire House.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Glass’ memory may be made to the Bay Head Fire Company, or to the World War II Memorial Fund.
Clifford Todd
Point Pleasant Beach resident Clifford Todd died Monday, Nov. 22 in his home.
He was 59 years old.
Born in Woodbury, Mr. Todd lived most of his life in Manasquan before moving to Point Pleasant Beach.
He was a graduate of Manasquan High School and attended Morehead State University, Ky.
He was a charter boat captain, piloting the Atlantic Clipper out of Point Pleasant Beach.
He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was predeceased in 1975 by his father, Clifford A. Todd.
Surviving are his mother, June Derenik Todd, Manasquan; one sister and brother-in-law, June and Eugene Sniezek, Ocean Township; and two nephews, Todd and Douglas Sniezek, Ocean Township.
Funeral arrangements were from the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.
Lorraine M. Pronti
Point Pleasant resident Lorraine M. Leuthner Pronti died Wednesday, Nov. 24 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township.
She was 76 years old.
She was a graduate of St. Michael’s High School, Union City.
Born in Hoboken, Mrs. Pronti lived in Jersey City before moving to Point Pleasant in 1981.
She was employed for 20 years with the County Clerk’s Office, Jersey City, before retiring five years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Point Pleasant Beach, where she was a member of the church’s Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her uncle, Father Bertin Vesey, her aunt, Sister Mary Rita, and her sister, Dolores Dombrowski.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Frank Pronti; one brother, Edward Leuthner, Paramus; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles Spezzano
Miami resident Charles Spezzano, formerly of Lavallette, died Tuesday, Nov. 23 in Community Medical Center, Toms River.
He was 90 years old.
Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Spezzano lived in Lavallette before moving to Florida 20 years ago. He was a resident of the Coconut Grove section of Miami.
He was employed as a tool and dye maker and a foreman with Purolator Products, Elizabeth, was a foreman with Regina Corp., Fairfield, and was a foreman with Standard Keil, Wall Township, before retiring in 1973.
Mr. Spezzano served as president of the Purolator Products union, and was a 60-year member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Toms River.
He was an opera singer, singing at several local churches, was a professional bass player, and was an avid gardener.
He was predeceased in 1999 by his wife, Anna Foti Spezzano.
Surviving are three daughters, Anita Zalom, Lavallette, Susan Humen, Farmingdale, and Carmen Hart, Island Heights; one sister, Mary Brusco, Hazlet; seven grandchildren, Mark, Kimberly, Debra, Helena, Michael, Jamie and Christian; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Colby Charles.

Vladimir Gericevich
Point Pleasant resident Vladimir Gericevich died Tuesday, Nov. 23 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township.
He was 84 years old.
Born in Union City, Mr. Gericevich lived in Fort Lee before moving to Point Pleasant 21 years ago.
He was employed for 42 years as a machinist with Bethlehem Steel, Hoboken, retiring 22 years ago.
He attended St. Martha’s Church, Point Pleasant.
He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.
Surviving are Mr. Gericevich’s very dear friends, Alma Hauser, Frank Hauser, and Lorraine Gabriel and family, all of Point Pleasant.

James Capano
Toms River resident James Capano, whose sister lives in Point Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 26 in Community Medical Center, Toms River.
He was 78 years old.
Born in Newark, Mr. Capano moved to Toms River 20 years ago.
He was employed with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local No. 13, before retiring.
He was a former member of The Newark Social Club.
Surviving are his sister, Mary Natale, Point Pleasant; two nieces, Julia Mazza and Patricia Lapre; and one nephew, James Mazza.
