Point Pleasant resident Sandra Jane Abramson died Friday, June 4 in her home.
She was 67 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Abramson lived in Lakewood before moving to Point Pleasant 32 years ago.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Temple Beth OR, Brick Township.
She was a member or ORT, Hadassah, and Deborah Hospital.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Theodore; one son, Stuart, Langhorne, Pa.; one daughter Eileen Beth Abramson, Point Pleasant; two sisters, Esther Goldstein, Cherry Hill, and Frances Chacker, Marlton; and two brothers-in-law, Nate Chacker and Martin Abramson.
Funeral arrangements were from Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood.

Donald M. B. Russell
Point Pleasant resident Donald M. B. Russell died Monday, June 7 in Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant. He was 83 years old.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Russell lived in Newark before moving to Point Pleasant in 1971.
He was employed as a die maker with Wycoff Steel Co., retiring in 1982.
He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Point Pleasant Beach, and a member of St. Peter’s Holy Name Society.
He was a veteran of the Canadian Army.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine.
Surviving are three sons, Donald Jr., Belleville, Timothy, Point Pleasant, and Dennis, Toms River; four daughters, Patricia Lima, Belleville, Bonnie Russell, Toms River, Cathy Russell, Seattle, and Gail Ellison, Eatontown; one sister, Theresa Zipfel, Iselin; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were from the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant.
Vincent J. Sisser Sr.
Lavallette resident Vincent J. Sisser Sr. died Friday, June 4 in Elterra Assistant Living, Dublin, Pa.
He was 77 years old.
Born and raised in Somerville, Mr. Sisser moved to Lavallette in 1978, summering there since 1969.
He was the proprietor for 18 years of Towne Laundromat, Lavallette, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 399, Ortley Beach, and worked as a dee jay for events held at the lodge. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Somerville.
He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was predeceased in 1997 by his wife, Elizabeth Barna Sisser.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Vincent J. Jr. and Debra, Toms River; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon E. Sisser, Bedminster, Christine Zorzi and Kenneth Zorzi, Doylestown, Pa., and Susan I. and Richard Hopkins, Contoocook, N.H.; and four grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Lee and Patrick.
Funeral arrangements are from the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Toms River. Visiting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight in the funeral home. A funeral service will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home.

Veronica Stencel
Myrtle Beach, S.C., resident Veronica Stencil, formerly of Point Pleasant died Saturday, June 5 in Conway Hospital, Myrtle Beach.
She was 84 years old.
Born in Fourty Fort, Pa., Mrs. Stencel lived in Point Pleasant before moving to Myrtle Beach three and one-half years ago.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fire Co. No. 2, Point Pleasant.
She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband, John.
Surviving are two sons, John and Ben, both of Point Pleasant; one daughter, Judy Swazy, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Helen Skorka, Little Egg Harbor; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were from the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant.

Richard J. Brennan
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., resident Richard J. Brennan, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Tuesday, June 1, in his home.
Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. Brennan lived in Point Pleasant before moving to Fort Lauderdale many years ago.
He was a barber for over 30 years.
Surviving are four sisters, Margaret Bower, Toms River, Mary Ellen Vaz, Seaside Heights, Kathleen Cox, Paupack, Pa., and Sandra Brennan, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Donald, Ortley Beach; a sister-in-law, Irene Brennan, Lavallette; and 18 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in St. Catharine’s of Sienna Church, Seaside Park.
Winifred L. M. Palm
Point Pleasant resident Winifred L. M. Palm died Saturday, May 8 in Concord Nursing Rehab, Lakewood.
Born in North Plainfield, Mrs. Palm lived in Brick Township and Toms River before moving to Point Pleasant in 1975.
She was employed as a comptometer operator with Texaco Corp., New York City, before retiring.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Brick.
She was a member of Deborah Hospital Foundation, and the Baltic Lodge of Vasa, Englewood.
She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore.
Surviving is her sister, Marian Honeywell, of Point Pleasant.

Beatrice A. Giardina
Wall Township resident Beatrice Aglito Giardina, whose sister lives in Point Pleasant, died Tuesday, June 1 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
She was 72 years old.
Born in Hackensack, Mrs. Giardina lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Wall 42 years ago.
She was a homemaker. As a young woman, she had been employed as an executive secretary in the office of the president of Curtis Wright Aviation, Wood-Ridge.
She greatly enjoyed opera and other classical music, and was a devoted wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph V. Giardina; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Jennifer Giardina-McPartland and her husband, Charles, Lacey, Elizabeth Giardina-Preston and her husband, Scott, Wall, and Katherine Giardina-Wojciechowski, and her husband, Jaroslaw, Wall; three sisters, Blanche Wilgan, Egg Harbor, Margaret Prince, Point Pleasant, and Dr. Barbara Ceilia, and her husband, Edward, Mount Laurel; one grandson, Tyler J. Preston; and two brothers-in-law, Angelo Giardina and Michael Giardina.

Matthew J. Bolger Jr.
Lavallette resident Matthew J. Bolger Jr. died Monday, June 7 in his home.
He was 84 years old.
Born in Newark, Mr. Bolger lived in Edison before moving to Lavallette in 1983.
He was a graduate of St. Benedict Prep School, Newark, and was inducted into its Hall of Fame for Athletics. He was also a graduate of Cornell University, and while there, he was an All-American football player.
After coaching football at Brown University, Providence, R.I., Mr. Bolger went on to coach football and baseball at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, for more than 30 years, before retiring in 1983. He also ran the summer baseball camp at Del Barton Prep School, Morristown.
He was an inductee into the Rutgers Hall of Fame and the City of Newark Hall of Fame. He was past president and inductee of the American Association of Baseball Coaches. He was a member of the Manasquan Elks and the Seaside Heights Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the Notre Dame Monogram Club.
He was a Marine Corps veteran, attaining the rank of first lieutenant.
He was predeceased in 2001 by his wife, Lore P. Rieth Bolger.
Surviving are one son, Matthew R. Bolger, Edison; two daughters, Kathleen Engeldrum, Livingston, and Lore Chilausky, Raleigh-Durham, N.C., one brother, Francis Bolger, Lavallette; one sister, Margaret Creech, San Francisco; and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are from the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Lavallette. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today in St. Bonaventure Church, Lavallette.
