ROBERT CHARLES EDELSON, 65, of EGG HARBOR CITY, formerly of Asbury Park died suddenly on November 16, 2004, at the Atl. Cty. Med. Ctr., Galloway Twp. He had never been employed. Born in Neptune, N. J., he had moved here five years ago. Surviving are several cousins. No funeral ceremony was scheduled. There were no calling hours.
AMELIA PRATO, 95, of OCEAN GROVE, died December 6, 2004, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Neptune. She had worked as a clerical assistant for the Reinhold Publishing Co., N. Y. C., N. Y. for more than twenty years until retiring.
Born in Brooklyn, N. Y., she had lived there until moving to the Francis Asbury Manor in Ocean Grove in July of 2001.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco Prato in 1967.
Surviving are a son, Joseph J. of Port Jefferson, N. Y., two daughters, Molly Ward of Brooklyn, N. Y. and Patricia Ann Florio of Ocean Grove, a brother, Vincent Prano of Brooklyn, N. Y., two sisters, Jennie Coniglio and Theresa Amorello, both of Brooklyn, N. Y., ten grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren.
Friends may call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Wed. Dec. 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 and at the Andrew Torregrossa & Sons F. H., 13th Ave. at 79th Street, Brooklyn, NY on Thurs. from 2-5 and 7-10.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday morn., Dec. 10th at St. Bernadettes R. C. Church, 13th Ave. at 81st Street, Brooklyn. Interment
followed at the Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Amelia's name to the Francis Asbury Manor, 70 Stockton Ave., Ocean Grove 07756, would be appreciated.
DOROTHY M. SMITH, 77, of WEST LONG BRANCH, died December 6, 2004, at her residence. She had worked as a secretary for the General Electric X-Ray Corp., Newark, N. J. retiring. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Presbyterian Church on the Hill, Wayside. Born in Newark, N. J., she had lived in Bloomfield and Asbury Park between 1954 & 1986 then in Farmingdale before moving here two years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Smith in 1993 and her son, Joseph P. who died in 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Susan L. Novobilski of Ocean, a brother, John R. MacLachlan of Elizabeth, N. J., and two grandchildren, Nicole and Christian Novobilski, both of Ocean.
A memorial ceremony was held at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Wed. even., Dec. 15th at 8:00. Friends were invited to call at the funeral home Wed. from 7:00-8:00.

PAUL H. CAMPBELL, 90, of OCEAN GROVE, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a packaging engineer for Robertson Paperbox Company, Montville, Conn., retiring in 1986. Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Born in New York State, he had lived in Somerville, NJ before moving to Ocean Grove in 1985 where he became an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Harriet Martyn Campbell, two sons, Clifford Campbell of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Paul Campbell, Jr., of Milton, Mass., two daughters, Sallie Ruhnka and Christine Rosa, both of Denver, Colorado, two stepsons William Haver of Richmond, VA, and Thomas Haver of Concord, Mass., a brother Laurie Campbell of Kansas, a sister, Virginia Sullivan of Illinois, and four grandchildren, August and Hayley Ruhnka of Colorado and Laura and Cate Campbell of Mass. A memorial service will be held on Sunday aft., December 19th at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, New York and Embury Avenues, Ocean Grove.
CLARA SEYFFARTH, 97, of OCEAN GROVE, died on Tuesday December 21, 2004, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. She was a homemaker and was predeceased by her husband, Richard Seyffarth. Surviving are a son Richard Seyffarth of Monticello, NY, and a daughter, Susan K. Marrero of Dover, N. J. No funeral ceremony has been scheduled at this time. There are no calling hours.
ALICE MAY WHITTINGTON McGLYNN, 83, of OCEAN GROVE, formerly of Stamford, Conn., and Short Hills, N. J., died on Sunday, December 26, 2004, at the Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. Born in Pueblo, Colo., she was an avid gardener, enjoyed being outdoors, loved the Jersey seashore and spent much of her time keeping her five children active in sports, scouting, social activities and various hobbies. Alice was the wife of the late Thomas P. McGlynn, loving mother of five children, Kathleen A. Dragon, Thomas P. McGlynn, Jr., Fred J. McGlynn, and John P. McGlynn, and predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. McGlynn “Pam” Whittam, grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of five. Also surviving are her brothers Louis Whittington of Colo. and Fred Whittington of Calif.

DOROTHY J. LIZAK, 81, of OCEAN GROVE, died Sunday, December 26, 2004, at the MediCenter, Neptune City. She had worked as an executive secretary for Peat, Marwick and Mitchell, Newark, N. J. until retiring. Mrs. Lizak was a member of the Neptune Senior Center, and she sang for many years in the choir at the Holy Family Church, Nutley. Born in Hillside, N. J., she had lived in Nutley before moving here 21 years ago. She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband, Walter L. Lizak, a Navy Seabee, and by her son Robert Lizak in 1988. Surviving are two granddaughters, Lauren and Tracy Lizak, both of Nutley, N. J.

ALICE ERIKSON, 95, of OCEAN GROVE, died Tuesday, January 12, 2005, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. She was a homemaker, a member of the Armonk (New York) United Methodist Church and its Women's Society and she was a life member of the Green Garden Club of Armonk. Born in Armonk, she had lived there all her life before moving to Ocean Grove 12 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, John B. Erikson in 1992. Surviving are a grand niece, Renee Bowman-Phillips of Purcellville, VA and a niece, Ruth Bowman of Deltona, FL. A graveside ceremony was held at the Kensico Cemetery, Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday aft., January 14th at 1:00, with burial following. In lieu of flowers a contribution to the Armonk United Methodist Church, 3 Bedford Road, Armonk, NY 10504 would be appreciated.
HENRY PARKER, 96, of ASBURY PARK, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at the MediCenter, Neptune City. He had worked as a clerk for Breyer's Ice Cream Co., Long Island City. N. Y. until retiring. Born in Germany, he had lived in Haledon until 1974 and Bradley Beach until 1996 before moving here. He was predeceased by his wife, Frieda Schoepki Parker in 1986. Surviving is a friend, Olga Woolsey of Wall Township. No funeral ceremony has been scheduled at this time and there were no calling hours.
