FRANK MIGUT, 72, of BRADLEY BEACH, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He had was a powerhouse engineer for the Kimberly Clark Company, Spotswood, NJ for more than 41 years until retiring. Mr. Migut was a communicant of the Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension, Bradley Beach and a member of the Navy League. He was born in South River, NJ. Surviving are his wife, Emily Weiss Migut, a son, Peter of Bradley Beach, a brother Chester, two sisters, Rose Banach and Jean Montegros, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial
was offered on Saturday, morning, July 16th at 10:00 at the Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension, 501 Brinley Avenue, Bradley Beach with burial following at the Hamilton Cemetery, Neptune. Friends were invited to call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove.
IRENE O'LOUGHLIN, 87, of OCEAN GROVE, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at home. She had worked for the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice for more than 14 years until retiring in 1986. Born in Trenton, NJ, she had lived there before moving here six years ago. Mrs. O'Loughlin was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1986. Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Cook of Sellersville, PA and Margaret McBride of Hamilton, NJ. No funeral ceremony has been scheduled at this time. There were no calling hours.
GOLDIE MEGILL FINCKE, 96, of LAKEWOOD, died peacefully Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at home. Mrs. Fincke was a teacher at the Belmar Public School for more than twenty-six years, then served as superintendent for six years, before taking an early retirement in 1960. She was a lifelong member of the Bradley Beach United Methodist Church. Mrs. Fincke's service to her church included membership in the United Methodist Women and serving on the official board. She was a graduate of Asbury Park High School and the Montclair Normal School. She received her masters degree from Rutgers University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. Born in Bradley Beach, she lived there and then in West Allenhurst for 34 years before moving here 1988 where she and her husband were among the first residents of Harrogate. She was predeceased by her husband, George C. Fincke, Jr., in 1999. Surviving are a sister, Gertrude L. Hutchins of Lakewood, a sister-in-law, Ethel Megill of Neptune City and many nieces and nephews. A graveside ceremony was held at the Glendola Cemetery, Belmar Boulevard and Allenwood Road, Wall Township, on Saturday morning, July 23rd at 10:00 with burial following. A brief memorial service and reception followed at 11:00 in the auditorium at Harrogate, 400 Locust Street, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Bradley Beach, 319 LaReine Ave, Bradley Beach, NJ 07720, would be appreciated.
RAYMOND JOHN JONES, 54, of OCEAN GROVE, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at home. He was a self employed carpenter. Born in Egg Harbor, NJ, he had lived in in the shore area for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Rayna Jones-Riggi, two sisters, Jo-Ann Jones and Mary Beth Planer both of Manahawkin and his parents, Edward and Mary Carroll of Manahawkin. No funeral ceremony has been scheduled at this time.
LIONEL WIGGAM, 90, of OCEAN GROVE, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at home. Lionel was an award winning poet, playwright and fiction writer. He was one of the top ten Ford Models in his younger days. Surviving are his dear friends, Nellie Hixon, Nancy and Ben Olifphint, Patricia Hogan - Fisher and his nurses aide, George. His neighbors will surely miss his friendly smiles and conversations. Services will be private.
MATTHEW FIELDS, 78, of OCEAN GROVE, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. He was a self employed carpenter until retiring and was a veteran of in the United States Army, serving during both WW II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Fields was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann McCormick Fields in 1984. Surviving is a son, Matthew Fields, of Bradley Beach. No funeral ceremony has been scheduled at this time and there are no calling hours.
MARIE CONROY, 80, of OCEAN GROVE, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She had worked as a shipping supervisor for Chanel, Piscataway, NJ until retiring in 1987. Born in Perth Amboy, she had lived in Jamesburg then in Toms River for 15 years before moving here six months ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Conroy in 2002. Surviving are two sons, Bruce E. Conroy of Ocean Grove and Ron Petenko of Woodbridge, and a grand daughter Kristen Petenko. A funeral ceremony was held at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Friday morning August 26 at 11:00 with burial following at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N. J. Friends were invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-9. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Popcorn Park Zoo, P. O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731 would be appreciated.
MICHAEL A. VESPOLI, 90, of BRADLEY BEACH, died Friday, September 16, 2005, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. He had worked as a refrigeration mechanic until retiring. Mr. Vespoli was born in Italy. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Mele Vespoli in 2003. Surviving are three sons, Anthony, of Hazlet, Michael, Jr., of Nutley and Dominick, of Long Valley, five daughters, Camille Pecora, of Bradley Beach, Rosemary DeLanzo, of Nutley, Frances Scimeca, of Colts Neck, Carol D'Urso, of Nutley and Angela Palmisano, of Bradley Beach, nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. was offered at the Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension, 501 Brinley Avenue, Bradley Beach on Tuesday morning, September 20th at 10:00 with interment following at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall, N. J. The family received friends from 9:00 to 10:00 at the church prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of Greater NJ, 400 Morris Avenue - Suite 251, Denville, N. J. 07834 would be appreciated.
MARGARET FOSTER, 99, of OCEAN GROVE, died Saturday, September 24, 2005, at the Manor-by-the-Sea, Ocean Grove. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Foster was a member of the United Methodist Women. Born in Scotland, she had lived in Kearny for many years, then Toms River before moving here three years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, John Foster in 1978. Surviving are two daughters, Moira F. Crowell of Kearny and Margaret M. Weakliem of Pennington, NJ, a sister, Isabel Hemion of Ocean Grove, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Francis Asbury Manor, Ocean Grove, at a later date. There are no calling hours.
REGINA ANN WALLACE, 52, of OCEAN GROVE, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at home. She was a cashier for the Wanamassa Pharmacy. Mrs. Wallace was active with the Salvation Army and the American Cancer Society. She was born in Red Bank. Surviving are her husband, William L. Crawford, three daughters, Stacey Ayers of Ocean Grove, Kelly Wallace of Bradley Beach and Shanna Wallace of Ocean Grove, a brother, Daniel Ayers of Neptune, two sisters, Bonnie McKelvey of Red Bank and Dawn Ayers of Red Bank, her parents, Daniel and Ruth Ann Jackson Ayers of Lincroft, a granddaughter Kahriya and her former husband, Thomas Michael Wallace of Bay Ridge, NY. Friends were invited to call at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove on Saturday, October 15th from 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral ceremony was held at 8:30 PM.
