Jim Maselko
Belmar resident Jim Maselko died Easter Sunday, April 8.

He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He had strong beliefs which will carry him forward and help those who are left behind.

Mr. Maselko loved his lady of over 35 years, Martha, and his two sons, Jeremy and Jonathan, a great deal. His siblings, Ted and Lois, were very special as well as his family and friends.

People were very important to Mr. Maselko. He served them well as a Roman Catholic Priest for nine years. He continued to make lives better through his career as a trainer and consultant. He joined Block, Petrella, Weisbord and Associates, later continuing as co-founder of its sister company, Designed Learning.

In 1999, he retired as president of Designed Learning. After retiring, he spent time continuing to learn. His interests were Reiki and other forms of healing. Recently, he became a hospice volunteer.

Working with his hands was an important part of Mr. Maselko’s creativity. The time he spent woodworking was both rewarding and a source of joy. He shared his gifts and accomplishments with many. His strong sense of giving was evident during the Christmas season when he created wonderful handmade gifts. His generosity and energy knew no bounds. He was a unique human being and those who knew him were truly blessed.

Mr. Maselko wanted his life to be celebrated and not mourned. For this reason, the family requests in lieu of flowers or donations, a commemoration be in the form of a special gift to yourself, or an act of kindness to another, while thinking of him.

There will be a private memorial service in celebration of Mr. Maselko’s life on April 22.
