Ruth V. De Feo
Ruth V. De Feo, with family in Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Friday, May 11 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Sal.
She is survived by her daughters Dotty Ann De Feo, of Middletown, N.Y., Sally and her husband Michael Rubino, of Spring Lake Heights, Toni and her husband Jim Easley, of Wall; her grandchildren Christopher Rubino and wife Meagan, of Drexel Hill, Penn., Matthew Easley, of Boston; and a great-grandson Marc Rubino. Ruth is also survived by her brother John Bennett and sister Catherine Seely as well as many, many good friends.
Ruth was active in several organizations at Greenbriar I and was an avid golfer and lover and collector of antiques.
Arrangements were under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home in Brick.
Interment was held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y.

Patricia E. Summers
Patricia E. Summers, of Belmar, passed away Monday, April 30 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. She was 64.
She was born on July 18, 1947 in Neptune to Harold and Mabel Brown.
Patricia was a long time member of Bethel AME Church in Asbury Park, and was employed approximately 20 years at Belmar Elementary School.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Harold W. Brown. She is survived by her son, Scott [Jennifer]; two daughters, Sydney and Shannon; and her beloved grandchildren, Devyn and Kyle.
Arrangements were under the direction of James H. Hunt Funeral Home in Asbury Park. Cremation has been arranged at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
Madeline M. Cevetto
Madeline M. Cevetto, of Belmar, passed away on Monday, May 14 at Manor By The Sea Nursing and Rehab facility in Ocean Grove. She was 97.
Madeline was born in Cliffside Park and lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for more than 70 years before moving to Belmar 10 years ago.
Madeline was a parishioner of the Church of Saint Rose in Belmar. She was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church in Newark and a former member of the Ironbound Senior Citizens Club. She worked for Dri-Print Foils in Rahway.
Madeline was predeceased by her husband Francisco “Frank” Cevetto in 1986.
She is survived by her son Ralph J. Cevetto and his wife Diane, of Toms River and Niles, Ohio, and her daughter Josephine Pellegrino, of Belmar; her five grandchildren, Ralph Cevetto and his wife Sarah, of Warren, Ohio, Cynthia McMahon and her husband Timothy, of Manasquan, Nancy Poz and her husband Thomas, of Garden City, N.Y., Carolyn Henry and her husband Scott, of North Brunswick, and Anthony Pellegrino and his wife Kimberly, of Maplewood; as well as nine great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clemente and Maria [Basile] Restaino and 10 brothers and sisters.
Her surviving siblings are Natalie Elmos, of Baltimore, Clemente Restine, of Ship Bottom, Mary Salerno, of Roselle Park, and Carmen Restine and his wife Mary, of Livingston. She was the aunt and great-aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Reilly Funeral Home in Belmar.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated on Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Saint Rose in Belmar.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
Anna V. Moore
Anna V. Moore, of Wall, passed away at her daughter’s home on Wednesday, May 9. She was 96.
Anna was born and raised in Tinton Falls and had lived in Neptune and Tinton Falls before moving to Wall with her daughter in 1988. She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church for over 70 years and also taught Sunday School there many years ago.
Anna loved to do needlework and painting ceramics. Her family was the center of her life.
Anna was predeceased by her husband of 23 years Charles Moore in 1977.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law Rupert E White and his wife Shirley, of Tinton Falls, Leslie M White, of Wall; a daughter and son-in-law Sharon and George Tiedemann, of Wall. Anna is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sharon Falco, Johnna White, Shanna White, Rupert White, Linda White, Kathleen Smith, Rev. Joseph Tiedemann, Timothy Tiedemann and Andrew Tiedemann; and 18 great- grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Orender Family Home for Funerals in Manasquan.
Interment was held at Hamilton cemetery in Neptune.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hamilton United Methodist Church, 858 Old Corlies Ave., Neptune or Jackson United Methodist Church, 68 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.
James English
James J English, formerly of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Saturday, May 12 at his home. He was 82.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., Mr. English resided in Yonkers, N.Y. and lived for 21 years in Spring Lake Heights before moving to Manchester 10 years ago.
Mr. English was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was an electrician with Local No. 3, New York City. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
He was predeceased by his sons James, Kevin and John English.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sheila McCarthy English. He is also survived by his son, Robert English, of Belmar, and his daughters, Mary McGoldrick, of Windsor, Conn., Sheila Connor, of Raleigh, N.C., and Susan Haberman, of Atlantic Highlands. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home in Wall.
A Mass of Christian Burial
was held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Toms River.
Entombment took place in St. Catharine cemetery Mausoleum, Wall.

Evelyn Neeson
Evelyn Neeson, of Manasquan, died Sunday, May 13 at home. She was 88.
Born in Paterson, she lived there for 43 years before moving to Wayne.
In 1993, she moved “down the shore” to a beautiful new home that was custom built by her loving son-in-law for her. She enjoyed living the shore life, walking on the Sea Girt boardwalk and around Spring Lake, eating ice cream at Hoffmann’s and watching her family [especially her grandchildren] grow around her.
Evelyn was an avid reader, loved going to Atlantic City to play the poker slots, and, most of all, delighted in cooking delicious meals for her family and friends.
We will all miss her stuffers, pot roast, and irreplaceable Syrian dishes.
She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters and two brothers, as well as her husband of 54 years Stanley Neeson whom she missed every day.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen-Jane and Russell Abrecht, of Brielle; her niece and best friend, Judith Newbury, of Manasquan; three grandchildren, Ryan Abrecht, of Santa Barbara, Calif., Christopher Abrecht, of New York City, and Eric Abrecht, of Baltimore; a brother Harold Hayek, of Manasquan; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home in Manasquan.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 21 at St. Denis Catholic Church, in Manasquan.

Thomas S. Griffiths III
Thomas S. Griffiths III, with family in Manasquan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14 in Crozer-Keystone Hospice.
He graduated from Penncrest High School and Delaware County Community College. He started his early professional career working for his father as an insurance adjuster for Hagan/Griffiths & Associates, then at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Tom loved the ocean, music, photography and technology. He enjoyed spending time and having dinner with his family and many friends. He loved both of his two dachshunds Murphy and then Rowdy. Tom was a great sports fan and did many generous and unnoticed charitable deeds.
As a young child and teenager he spent all of his summers in Manasquan and as an adult he vacationed and spent many weekends there. In the final years of his life, he spent the majority of his time at the family’s beachfront home in Manasquan.
He is survived by mother Marguerite Vernon Griffiths; sister Susan, brother-in-law [Tom] Tuzio and niece Ana, of Bayville; brother Paul and nephew Jack, of Wawa, Pa.; uncle Ted and aunt Nancy Griffiths, of Manasquan; uncle Charles and aunt Lorraine Vernon, of Media, Pa.; and many cousins.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Rigby, Harting and Hagan Funeral Home in Media, Pa.

Raymond F. Keating
Raymond F. Keating, of Spring Lake Heights, died on Friday, May 19, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. He was 86.
Born and raised in Hoboken, he lived in Spring Lake Heights and Manasquan for the past 30 years. Mr. Keating proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a medic during World War II, and he was decorated with numerous medals as a wounded warrior. He worked in the chemical sales industry until his retirement from that field in 1975. He owned and operated a number of concessions in the shore area until his full retirement 10 years later. His residence for the last eight years was Sunnyside Manor, Wall.
Ray was a loyal, loving father and husband who cherished his family above all else. He was a devout Catholic, avid animal lover and beach goer, and was known for his wit, intelligence, kindness, and generous nature.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Colleen, and his five children, Kathleen Keating Godley, Sherry Keating, Patricia McMillan, Maureen Keating, and Raymond Keating II. He will be remembered fondly by his six grandchildren, Andrew Zerio, Kaitlyn McMillan, Justin Godley, Kira Godley, Mikayla Keating, and Shay Keating.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Catherine Keating and his three siblings, William Keating, Gerald Keating, and Veronica Casey. His brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Rose Mulvaney, also survive him along with his many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Neary Quinn Funeral Home in Manasquan. A Mass was held at St. Denis Church in Manasquan. Internment took place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Province Line Road in Arneytown. Memorial donations may be sent to your favorite charity in his name.
