BRODIE MARK McKEE, 4, died June 20 at Children’s Hospital, Philadelphia. Brodie was born in Long Branch. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Jessie McKee, in 1988. BARBARA CATHERINE SCRIVEN, 66, of Sea Bright died June 4 at home after a battle with a glioblastoma. Born in Jersey City, she relocated to Sea Bright in 1985. Mrs. Scriven was an officer for several years at Fyock Motor Lines, Red Bank, where she worked alongside her husband and son. Prior to that, she was a travel consultant at Tiffany Travels, Bayonne. Her activities included time with her family, the beach, reading, and the theater. An avid New York Mets fan, she was present at the team’s first winning World Series game in 1969. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann, in 1987; and her father, John Nolan, in 1984. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Scriven of Sea Bright; her mother, Eleanor Nolan; her children, Thomas, Robert and Marybeth; two daughters-in-law, Mary Kelly and Marguerite; her son-in-law, Joe Vasquez; two sisters, Beverly Fitzgerald and Bernice Becker; a brother, Barry Nolan; and six grandchildren. GARNER PRUITT SR., 70, of Middletown, died June 4 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. Born in Homer, Ill., he resided in Rumson prior to moving to Middletown six years ago. He was a landscape gardener at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson, for 18 years. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and member of the Rumson Ramp Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Olivadoti Pruitt in 1982. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Garner and Erika Pruitt Jr. of Middletown; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Patrick Leonard of Middletown, Linda A. and Larry Miller of Shark River Hills, and Jane and Gordon Johnsen of the Leonardo section of Middletown; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several siblings. JOSEPH G. AMECANGELO, 58, of Tinton Falls died June 7 at Hahnemann Medical Center, Philadelphia, after complications following a kidney transplant. He was born and raised in Red Bank. Mr. Amecangelo was the owner of Charter One Leasing, Red Bank. Prior to that, he was vice president at W&J Sloan Furniture Co., Red Bank. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. His activities included golf, reading and music, and he performed with several local bands throughout New Jersey. He was predeceased by his father, Chris L. Amecangelo, in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Angela M. Amecangelo of Tinton Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Karen Amecangelo of Middletown; two daughters, Krista Amecangelo and Leigh-Anne Amecangelo, both Red Bank; his mother, Ida Amecangelo of Red Bank; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Alan Zaleski of Middletown; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. IDA COSGROVE SMITH, 91, of Fair Haven died June 7 at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Red Bank. Born in Newark, she resided in El Paso, Texas, before moving to Fair Haven in 1990. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. She was a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, and its Red Bank Auxiliary, and The Arc of Monmouth County, Tinton Falls. She was predeceased by her husband, Maxwell Baldwin Smith Jr., and a brother, John F. Cosgrove. She is survived by a son, Maxwell B. PHILIP P. MURPHY SR., 80, of Oceanport, died Aug. 1 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he resided in Staten Island, N.Y., and other locations worldwide while in the U.S. Navy, before retiring in Oceanport. He was a 22-year career chief of the U.S. Navy, and managed the Enlisted Men’s Club and Officers’ Club at Fort Monmouth before retiring. Prior to that, he managed the Chief’s Club at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and Test Center, Lexington Park, Md., prior to retirement. Enlisting in 1941, he was decorated for service in the Pacific Theatre, American Theatre and the Victory of World War II. He and his brother Edmund J. Murphy also owned and managed the Towne House of Bullshead, Staten Island, during the early ‘60s. He served as a district election board member and ballot collector in Oceanport. His memberships included the Navy League, Fleet Reserve, American Legion, and the U.S. Navy Institute. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Edmund J. Murphy; and his sister, Ellen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rose D. Murphy of Oceanport; three sons, Dr. James S. Murphy, Mike Murphy and Philip P. Murphy Jr.; two brothers, Charles M. and John Murphy of Staten Island, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial

ALFRED D. CIAMPOLI, 79, of Red Bank, died Aug. 11 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Red Bank for several years. He was a bakery driver at Baldanza’s Bakery, Long Branch, for more than 50 years. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of Local No. 194, Union. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rose Ciampoli, and two brothers, John and Anthony Ciampoli. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruby E. ROSE M. GARCIA DI GUGLIELMO, 88, of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and formerly Long Branch, died Aug. 9 at Forest Oaks Assisted Living Center, Spring Hill, Fla. Born in Red Bank, she resided in Eatontown and Long Branch prior to moving to Weeki Wachee seven years ago. She was a retired seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 105. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Garcia; and her second husband, Joseph Di Guglielmo. She is survived by her step-children, Nicholas Di Guglielmo of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Frances Raczeck of Tinton Falls; four grandchildren; and one niece and nephew. Interment

BARBARA J. DOLAN PRESCOTT, 54, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Aug. 6 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong resident of Laurence Harbor. She was a picker and packer at L’Oreal, Dayton section of South Brunswick. She was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor Rogers Dolan in 1995. She is survived by her father, Raymond Dolan of Hazlet; her husband, Edward W. Prescott Sr. of Laurence Harbor; her son, Edward W. HAROLD J. HAYTKO, 61, of Sayreville, died Aug. 6 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Bayonne prior to moving to Sayreville 26 years ago. He was an auto mechanic at Eastern Airlines, Newark, for 24 years, retiring in 1996. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959-63. He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy.
