Helen Miller
Port Charlotte, Fla. resident Helen Miller, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, May 16, in her home.
She was 85 years old.
Born in Jersey City, she moved to Point Pleasant in 1945.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Vincent in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Meisenbacher, of Point Pleasant, and her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Michael Petracco, of Port Charlotte, Fla.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean Meisenbacher, of Point Pleasant, Katie Cataldo and her husband, Louis, of Sussex, Mickey Petracco and his wife, Nicole, of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Vincent Petracco and his wife, Jill, of Florida; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Joan Baumeister, of Point Pleasant; her extended family Joyce and James Newman, of Point Pleasant, Daniel and Christine Newman, of Brick and Kristy Newman, of Point Pleasant and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Colonial Funeral Home, Brick.
Everett “Larry” T. Morgan
Brielle resident Everett T. Morgan “Larry, ” with family in Point Pleasant, died Saturday, June 20 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was 68 years old.
Affectionately known as “Love, ” Larry will be missed by many. Known for his witty sense of humor, Larry always brought a smile to everyone he met. Larry was a retired man who enjoyed his friends, family and hunting.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Brielle, and there was not a street in Brielle that he drove down without beeping to or stopping to chat with a friend. Larry was a member of the Brielle First Aid Squad for 41 years.
He attended Manasquan High School and played football under Coach Hal Manson, and also ran track. It was there that he met his wife of 44 years, Margaret “Sissy” Ferreira.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, William Cornelius and Martha Ellen [nee Richardson] Morgan; four brothers, Edsol, Leonard, Meldon and Norman; and one sister, Marva.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Morgan, of Brielle; two daughters and one son-in-law, Elaine and Brian Scott, of Sterling, Va. and Eileen Morgan, of Manasquan; and three sons and three daughters-in-law, Everett, Jr. and his wife Sheri, of Neptune, Elliot and Allison, of Brick, and Eric and Kristen, of Point Pleasant. Larry also raised two nieces and two nephews as his own children, Kiva, Karriem, Kharaan and Khayana. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Carl, Brian, Alicia, Taylor, Scott, Everett III [Trey], Hunter and Kendall. Larry leaves to mourn his loss three brothers, Alfred, Eugene [Buddy] and William [Billy]; and two sisters, Willa Mae Fickling and Roselle Travis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Larry will be missed by his chocolate lab, Kias.
Orender Family Home for Funerals, Wall Township was in charge of arrangements.

Nancy Jane Wert-Brown
Normandy Beach resident Nancy Jane Wert-Brown, who summered in Lavallette, died Saturday, June 27 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick.
She was 86 years old.
Mrs. Wert summered in Lavallette since the late 1950s and became a permanent resident of Normandy Beach in 1970.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Collingswood, and the Deborah Hospital Tradewinds Chapter.
She enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, cooking and tennis.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert W. Wert and William Brown; and her daughter, Patty Lou Curry.
She is survived by a daughter, Leslie A. Flint and her husband, Skip; five grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Marianne, Robert and Elizabeth; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Lavallette, was in charge of the arrangements. Internment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.

Loretta Patricia [Maloney] Breiner
Wall Township resident Loretta Patricia [Maloney] Breiner, with family in Point Pleasant, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, died peacefully Wednesday, June 17 after an inspirational one-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was 58 years old.
Born in East Orange, Loretta moved to the shore in 1971 and resided in Wall since 1975.
Loretta graduated from East Orange Catholic High, Brookdale Community College, and was an honor student at Monmouth University.
A natural teacher and dedicated Catholic, Loretta taught CCD at St. Rose, Belmar for 19 years.
Loretta’s impact was also felt throughout the Irish-American community. An active member of Project Children, Loretta and her family hosted children from Northern Ireland for nearly 25 years. More recently, Loretta served the past seven years as a member of the Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick’s Day Committee.
First and foremost in Loretta’s life was her faith, followed by her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence “Bud” and Muriel Maloney.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harry; her six children, Harry Jr., of Toms River, Craig and his wife, Brooke, of Howell, David, of Toms River, Christine DeSarno and her husband, Rick, of Wall, Maura, and Emily at home; and two grandsons, Christian and Conor. Loretta had five siblings, Joe Maloney and his wife, Lynn, of Ocean, Larry Maloney, of Crawfordville, Fla., Bob and Julie Maloney, of Point Pleasant, Eileen Mooney and her husband, Jim, of Millsboro, Del., and Maureen and Greg Schwarz, of Hamilton Square; five sisters-in-law and their families; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Orender Family Home for Funerals, Wall Township was in charge of arrangements. Interment
was at St. Anne’s cemetery in Wall.

Nora E. Stoebling
Belmar resident Nora E. Stoebling died on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at home..
She was 87 years old.
Born in Bayonne, she lived in North Arlington before moving to Belmar 18 years ago.
Mrs. Stoebling worked as a clerk for New Jersey Transit for many years before retiring in 1996.
She was a member and communicant at St. Rose Church, in Belmar.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 2000.
Surviving are her dear best friend, Dori Anne Yebra and her her husband, Tony, and their children, Anthony and Kristen; and her beloved caregiver, Iradat Lola Bakare.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Reilly Funeral Home, Belmar.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Church.
Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Carol McDonald
Blackwood resident Carol Stevens McDonald [nee Scott], formerly of Brielle, died on Friday, Oct. 26.
She was 58 years old.
She was the beloved wife of Mark; devoted mother of Andrea and Francis; and loving daughter of Lillian Scott.
Carol was a retired attorney. Interment
was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hurffville.

Dolly Johnson
Erwin, Tenn. resident Dolly Jane Miller Johnson, formerly of Shark River Hills and Spring Lake Heights, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23.
She was 82 years old.
Dolly was a native of Yancey County, N.C. During WWII, she met and married
her husband, Ken, and moved from Lost Cove, N.C. to Spring Lake Heights. A member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union for over 40 years, she retired and returned to her roots in Erwin, Tenn., in 1988.
For many years, she was a member of the Shark River Hills Ladies Auxiliary and an avid bowler. She was a life long member of the Community Baptist Church, in Shark River Hills.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth L. and her son, Ronald L.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara and her husband, William Jernee, of Erwin, Tenn.; sons, Kenneth Jr., of Erwin, Tenn. and James and his wife, Joy, of Shark River Hills; daughter-in-law, Sue Johnson, of Shark River Hills; three brothers, Clifford, Phil and Ulis, of Erwin, Tenn.; and her twin sister, Polly Ann Bailey, of Spring Lake Heights. She was loving ‘Mom-Mom’ to her eight grandchildren, Debra Holly, Jenni Sue Latshaw, Christine Jernee, Diane Jernee, David Johnson, Joanne Hollenbeck, Jessica Ramos and Josh Johnson, along with her eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Burial
was held at Atlantic View Cemetery.
