FRANK G. WARNER, 91, of Farmingdale died Jan. 29 at Care One at Holmdel. He was born in Union City and lived in Freehold Township before moving to Farmingdale 17 years ago. He was employed at Central Jersey Bank and Trust Company, Freehold, for 31 years before his retirement as a vice president in 1977. Prior to that he was employed at Second National Bank, Red Bank, for 17 years. He was an instructor for the American Institute of Banking, a former president of the National Association of Bank Auditors and Comptrollers, and a member of the Monmouth County Bankers Association. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold, where he was a member of the choir for 46 years, and a member of the board of trustees, memorial committee, and administrative board of the church. He was a member of Holland Orchards Golf Club, Marlboro Township, and was treasurer of the Men’s Golf Association. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Massey Warner, in 1982. Surviving are three sons, Frank F. Warner, Kennett Square, Penn., David Warner, Freehold Township, and Jack Warner, Jackson Township; three daughters, Betsy Taylor, North Palm Beach, Fla., Judith Myrs, Red Bank, and Karen Warner, Freehold Township; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at the First United Methodist Church, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund of First United Methodist Church, 91 W. Main, Freehold, 07728.
JOSEPH F. LOPES, 77, of Tinton Falls died Feb. 2 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, he moved to Middletown in 1954 and resided there and in Keansburg before moving to Tinton Falls seven years ago. Mr. Lopes was senior vice president at Brunswick Bank & Trust Co., East Brunswick, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he held management positions at several local banks and was New Jersey State Bank Examiner for the State of New Jersey for 25 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft section of Middletown. He was a former communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown, for more than 30 years. His activities included golf. He is survived by his wife, Joan Mathison Lopes; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Nanci Lopes, and his daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Larry Kopp, all of Tinton Falls; his sister, Josephine Lopes of Jackson Heights, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft. Entombment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
WILLIAM L. BARCLAY, 80, of Whiting died Feb. 2 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Hart Hill, Scotland, he resided in Rumson, Middletown, and Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Whiting two years ago. Mr. Barclay was the retired owner and operator of Jim’s Automotive Paint & Body, Staten Island. He was a member of the Lakehurst Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Springfield. His activities included time with his family and travel. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Lois Watkins Barclay, in 1999. He is survived by his son, Laird Barclay; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra L. and Anthony Carasia of Fair Haven, and Kimberly A. and George Landi of Barnegat; three sisters, Cathie Pastrof, Cis Pastrof and Ella McMunn, all of Lakehurst; and eight grandchildren. was at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
RONALD K. STECK, 70, of Bunker Hill, W. Va., formerly of Middletown, died Feb. 1 at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Middletown for 25 years prior to moving to Bunker Hill 10 years ago. He was a senior technical assistant at AT&T, Holmdel, for 39 years, retiring in 1989. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Williams Steck in 1988. He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Steven Silverstein of West Long Branch, Sharon and Ben Barresi of Little Silver, Jeanne and Chris Risafi of Freehold, and Diane and Jimmy McDonald of Middletown; his sister and brother, Carol Steck and Robert Steck, both of New Jersey; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be Feb. 7 from 9-11 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial

STANLEY J. BASTELLI, 83, of Middletown died Feb. 17 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Middletown, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired house painter for Wesley Crozier, Fair Haven. He served with the U.S. Army as a medic during World War II. He served as an usher for several years at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. His hobbies included antique cars and motorcycles, and selling vegetables he grew at his roadside vegetable stand. He was predeceased by his brother, John Bastelli and his sister, Anna Zebrowski. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores Rosier Bastelli of Middletown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marianne and Jack Deichert of Coppell, Texas, and Jennifer and Jack Shareshian of Middletown; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stanley and Ann Bastelli Jr. of Eatontown, Edward and Joy Bastelli of Long Branch, and Robert Bastelli of Middletown; and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be Feb. 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Feb. 22 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home. JANE GANDORF CAVANAUGH, 95, of Shrewsbury died Jan. 20 at home. Born in Red Bank, she resided in Queens, N.Y., prior to relocating to the Red Bank area in 1972. She was a retired seamstress at Eisner’s, Red Bank. Her activities included card-playing, travel, and rooting for the New York Yankees. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor Cavanaugh in 1976; and five sisters, Ella Gandorf, Rose Gandorf, Margaret G. Luddle, Catherine G. Lamberson and Winifred G. Cavanaugh. She is survived by her nephew, Douglas Cavanaugh of Red Bank; her daughter-in-law, Pat Cavanaugh of New York; her lifelong friend, Marie Hammond of Eatontown; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. GORDON B.P. ROSA JR., 51, of Long Branch died Feb. 12 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he relocated to Long Branch 38 years ago. He was the owner and proprietor of New Jersey Janitorial, Inc., Long Branch, for 10 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon B.P. and Edith Staub Rosa. He is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Michael Rosa of Long Branch, and Victor and Lori Rosa of Oceanport. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
CATHERINE BARRY TRENTON of Middletown Township died Feb. 6 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Middletown for several years. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman C. Trenton in 1974. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Karen Trenton of Fair Haven; her niece, Gloria DeCarlo of Hazlet; and two grandchildren, Patrick Trenton and Melissa Trenton. JOSEPHINE P. PECK, 88, of Red Bank died Feb. 13 at Paul Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Old Forge, Pa., she resided in Englewood and Red Bank prior to moving to Lakewood in 1993. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph V. Peck in 1992; and a daughter, Victoria Ann Donahue. She is survived by her son, Joseph V. Peck Jr. of Red Bank; four sisters, Jennette Swartz of Lincoln, Neb.; Catherine Kuklich of Yardley, Pa.; Eleanor Nowakowski of Taylor, Pa.; and Mary Voisenet of Alameda, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
