William C. Carson, 80
William C Carson, 80, of the Toms River section of Dover Township, died on Friday, April 17, 1998 at home.
Born in Piscataway, he had lived in Plainfield and Scotch Plains before moving to Toms River in 1958. He relocated to Whiting in 1985 and moved back to Toms River three years ago.
Mr. Carson had been a purchasing agent for Legus Plumbing in Toms River, retiring in 1980, the Hutchinson Plumbing Company of Matawan and the plumbing department of Home Depot in Lakewood.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Carson, in 1994.
Surviving are two sons, Glen Carson of Dover Township and Wayne Carson of Forrest Port, New York; a sister, Agnes Wilson of Plainfield, four grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 20, at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River.

Dorothy M. Frederick
Dorothy M. Frederick of Scotch Plains died on Monday, April 20, 1998 in the Eastern Star Home in Finderne.
Born in Elizabeth, she had resided in Scotch Plains for 50 years.
She had been a receptionist for Dr. Edgar Santoro in Scotch Plains for 19 years, retiring in 1976.
Mrs. Frederick was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains, the Scotch Plains Woman's Club and Maalas Temple No. 20 of Daughters of the Nile in Livingston.
She was a Past Matron and Past Grand Officer of both Azure Lodge No. 87 in Cranford and Overlook Chapter No. 45 in Scotch Plains of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Frederick was Board Chairwoman of Rainbow Girls, Elizabeth Assembly, and Past Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Chester Frederick; a son, C. Alan Frederick of Fairfax, Virginia; a brother, John R. Maggs of Stevensville, Montana; a sister, Edith G. Jack of Raleigh, North Carolina, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 24, at All Saints' Episcopal Church. Cremation will be private.
Calling hours are today, Thursday, April 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue in Fanwood, with Eastern Star Services to take place at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Book of Remembrance at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 559 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, 07076, or to Shriner's Hospital, 249 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, 07039.

William P. Voetsch, 77
William P. Voetsch, Jr., 77, of Point Pleasant died on Tuesday, April 14, 1998 in the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
Born in Philadelphia, he had lived in Summit and Fanwood before moving to Point Pleasant in 1994.
Mr. Voetsch had been a state construction estimator in Trenton for 14 years before retiring in 1944. Earlier, he had been a sales engineer for Ceco Steel in Hillside for 25 years.
He attended Rutgers University. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Voetsch was a member of the Navy League of Lakehurst.
He was also a member of the New Jersey Jazz Society and the United States Golf Association.
Surviving are his wife, Gail Voetsch; two sons, John J. Voetsch and William P. Voetsch, 3rd; a daughter, Deborah Voetsch- Litichevsky; a sister, Bernice Kolb, and two grandchildren.
A Mass was offered on Saturday, April 18, at St. Peter's Church in Point Pleasant Beach, following the funeral from the Van Hise & Callagan, Leber Funeral Home in Point Pleasant Beach.

Charles Ungaretta, 76
Charles F. Ungaretta, 76, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998 at home in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ungaretta was born in South Plainfield.
He was a bartender for many years in California and New Jersey.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Sinatra Ungaretta.
Surviving are a son, Frederick Ungaretta of Scotch Plains; two daughters, Dale Mazet of East Amwell and Donna Dilello of North Plainfield; three stepsons, Benedict Sinatra of Portland, Oregon, Vincent Sinatra of Encino, California, and Michael Sinatra of Destin, Florida; two stepdaughters, Geri Lawson and Christina Sinatra, both of Destin, Florida; a sister, Frances Smith of Palmerton; two brothers, Edward Tyler of East Harwich, Massachusetts and Frederick Ungaretta of Bath, Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren.
Arrangement were handled by the Campton Funeral Home in Palmerton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church memorial fund, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, 18071.

Catherine Fulton, 92
Catherine Kay Fulton, 92, died on Tuesday, April 21, 1998 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
Born in Newark she had lived in Belleville, Clifton and Forked River for 28 years prior to moving to Fanwood in 1996.
Mrs. Fulton was a member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in Forked River, the Rosary Society, Lady Guard and Kazoo Kuties, a volunteer group.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Fulton, in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Mariani of Fanwood; a son, William Fulton, Jr.; six grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow, Friday, April 24, at 9 a.m. at Rossi Funeral home in Scotch Plains. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, April 23, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hope Hospice, 176 Hussa Street, Linden, 07036.

Ralph Fantini, 83
Retired Mason; Had Worked for Conservation Corps
Ralph Fantini, 83, of Scotch Plains died on Thursday, April 30, 1998 at Morristown Memorial Hospital of injuries he sustained when he was struck by a car in Scotch Plains April 23.
Born in Montazzoli, Province of Chiete, Italy, he had moved to Scotch Plains in 1928.
Mr. Fantini had been a mason contractor with Westfield Local No. 34 for 40 years, prior to retiring in 1977. After his retirement, he had worked as a sexton for the First Presbyterian Church in Dunellen.
During the Depression, Mr.Fantini had worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps building dams, parks and doing forestry work in New York state and Virginia.
He was a member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Italian-American Club and was also a member of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Zostalta Fantini, in 1994, and by two sisters, Mary Jansen and Philomena Di Fiore.
Surviving are three sons, Nicholas R. Fantini of Dunellen, Ralph Fantini of Scotch Plains and Anthony S. Fantini of Port St. Lucie, Florida; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, May 4, at St. Bartholomew's Church.
Arrangements were handled by the Rossi Funeral Home in Scotch Plains.

Lucia Ciavolella, 93
Lucia Ciavolella, 93, of Westfield died on Friday, May 1, 1998 in Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
Born in The Bronx, she had lived in Westfield for 20 years.
Mrs. Ciavolella was a member of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program in Westfield.
Surviving are two sons, Alex Ciavolella and Benedict Ciavolella; a daughter, Jean Sacco; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, May 4, at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Westfield.
Arrangements were handled by the Dooley Colonial Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Avenue, in Westfield.
