Samuel E. Bey of Monmouth Beach, NJ and Fort Lauderdale, FL, died on January 18, 2001.
A lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, NJ, "Sam", as he was known by many, was born on October 29, 1911 in Bar, Russia.
Mr. Bey was a founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Russell-Stanley Corporation of Woodbridge, NJ.
Now the largest manufacturer of industrial containers in the U.S., Russell-Stanley was founded in 1949.
He was also a founder, former board member and director of the Edison Bank, which is now a part of First Union Bank Corporation.
He was active in many community and charitable organizations including, the Perth Amboy Lions Club, B.P.O Elks Lodge #784, Progress Club, Perth Amboy Volunteer Fire Department, Exempt Firemen's Association, and the United Jewish Appeal.
The Monmouth University School of Business Administration building is named in his honor.
Survived by: Mr. Bey is survived by his "bride" of 64 years, Mollie Belafsky Bey; his sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Peggy and Arne and Caron of Rumson; his daughter and son-in-law, Sharyn and Les Turchin of Fort Lauderdale. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Amanda Wendel, Lori Sperling, Wendy Lonardo, Jeffrey Bey, Joey Bey, Samuel J. Bey, Alexandra Bey and great-grandchildren, Jake Ralston, Shannon Ralston, Alex Kane, Garrett Sperling, Gabriel Wendel, Mara Bey, Hailey Sperling, Olivia Bey, Jordan Sperling and Mollie Grace Lonardo.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at Congregation Shaarey Tefiloh, 15 Market Street, Perth Amboy, NJ on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m., Rabbi David Willig, officiating.
Services by Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ.
Contributions may be made in his memory to: Chabad House of Rutgers University.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Arne and Caron Bey, Rumson, NJ on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Miriam Johansen Coogan
Life Dates: April 15, 1924 - December 19, 2000
Miriam Coogan, age 76, died at her home on Tuesday. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and had resided in Fords, NJ for the past 31 years.
She was a homemaker devoting her time to her husband and family. Mrs. Coogan was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1943 and a graduate of the Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Newark in 1945. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Perth Amboy.
She was predeceased by her son, James Keith Coogan who died in 1952.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 57 years, James B. Coogan; her son Kenneth J. Coogan of Fords; her brother, George Johansen of Woodbridge, and her two grandchildren, Christopher Coogan of Hawaii and Scott Coogan of Sewaren .

Veronica M. Davis
Life Dates: September 9, 1946 - January 12, 2001
Veronica Davis, age 54, died on Friday at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ.
She was born and resided in Jersey City, NJ before moving to Woodbridge Township in 1960.
Mrs. Davis was a self-employed businesswoman and a homemaker. She was the Owner, President and Founder of Aora Rentals, DBA Econo Car of Woodbridge, NJ.
She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1964 and also attended the Dental Institute of Orange, NJ.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, Fords and taught CCD for many years at the church.
She was predeceased by her father, Joseph F. Morra.
Survived by: In Loving memory she is missed and survived by her husband, Theodore Davis; her daughters, JoyAnne Davis of Woodbridge, NJ and Mary M. Carlogh of North Potomic, MD; her sons, Kyle Davis of Mahwah, NJ, Vincent Davis of Hawthorn, NJ, Paul C. Davis of Jersey City, NJ, and Mark T. Davis of Manville, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Megan and Lucas; her mother, Veronica Morra of Toms River, NJ; her brothers, Rocco Morra of Toms River, NJ, Joseph Morra of Virginia Beach, VA, and Gerard Morra of Jackson, NJ; her sister, Mary Hight of Satellite Beach, FL, and her dear friend, Lisa Michaloski.

June B. Dudik
Life Dates: June 30, 1922 - January 21, 2001
June B. Dudik, age 78, died on Sunday at her home in Fords, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Fords all of her life.
Mrs. Dudik worked as an executive secretary at Mobil Oil Company in Plainfield for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She had previously been employed in the same capacity at Carborundum in Keasbey and Hess Oil Company in Perth Amboy.
She was a graduate of the Drake Business School in Perth Amboy, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Perth Amboy, a member and past president of the Fords and Keasbey Senior Citizens, and a member of the Fords Women's Club. She was also a member of the Chevron-Mobil retirees, a member of the Fords Women's Evening Bowling League, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hopelawn VFW 1352.
She taught line dancing for the Woodbridge Township Evergreen Association. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph who died in 1991.
Survived by: Surviving are her loving son, Joseph M. Dudik of Edison and loving daughter, Jill Ausfahl of Medford Lakes; her four grandchildren Dawn Lee and husband Thomas Borg, Joseph M. Jr., Joshua and Jacob. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Anthony Joseph and Diana Lee, and one brother, Charles E. Berndt of Manteo, NC.

Elizabeth Helen Kennedy
Life Dates: October 13, 1914 - December 18, 2000
Elizabeth Kennedy, age 86, died at her home on Monday. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and resided most of her life in Avenel.
She was a homemaker devoting her time to her family, and a communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel.
Mrs. Kennedy was predeceased by her husband, Edward D. Kennedy who died in 1966, and her grandson, Timmy Lowe.
Survived by: Surviving are her two daughters, Priscilla Siecinski of Avenel and Patricia Lowe of Ocean Gate; two sisters, Eva Schmidt of Ocean Gate and Helen Stutski of Toms River. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Jimmy, Dawn, Kelly, Tammy, Priscilla, Eddie, Terry, Bernie, Kathy, and Davy, and sixteeen great-grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Nicole, Amanda, Bernie III, Cory, Chaz, Campbell, Brian, Lauren, Cate, Eddie, Caitlin, Timmy, Jacob, and Chelsea.

William R. Lyon
Life Dates: March 18, 1924 - January 2, 2001
William Lyon, age 76, died on Tuesday at Lyons VA Hospital in Basking Ridge, NJ. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin and resided in Aberdeen, before moving to Fords in 1977.
Mr. Lyon was an Assistant Vice President with New York Life Insurance Company in New York City, retiring in 1984 after 30 years.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving as an airman in the Pacific Theatre during WWII, for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, Class of 1954 and a member of Phi Beta Capa.
He was predeceased by his wife Hazel Batson Lyon who died on October 23, 2000 and his son Edward Posnak who died in 1994.
Survived by: Surviving are his daughters, Linda Lyon of Maryland, Karen Lyon of Lake Wales, Fl., and Barbara Dobranski of Woodbridge, NJ; his granddaughter, Shannon Marie Lyon; his sister Martha Thorner of Maryland, and three nephews, Doug, Rick & Jeff Gornall.
Visitation: Sunday, January 7, 2001 2:00-4:00 p.m. only.

Peter Peterson
Life Dates: January 31, 1927 - December 24, 2000
Peter Peterson, age 73, died on Sunday at his home in Iselin. He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Fords before moving to Iselin 33 years ago.
He was a serviceman for Elizabethtown Gas Company in Iselin for 26 years before retiring in 1973.
Mr. Peterson was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII.
He was a member of the American Legion, T. Nulty Post # 471, of Iselin.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Jane Loftus Peterson; two sons, Robert Peterson of Doylestown, PA and Peter Peterson of Branchburg, NJ; two daughters, Jeanne Bowlby of Hillsborough, NJ and Kym Lindo of Hillsborough, NJ. Also surviving are five brothers, Raymond Peterson of New Brunswick, Jack Peterson of Fords, Richard Peterson of Toms River, Norman Peterson of Fords, and Donald Peterson of Asbury; one sister, Jeanne Dolan of Edison; grandchildren, Jennifer & Jeff Bowlby, Sara Lindo, Jesse & Jaimie Peterson, and Jonathan Wyatt Peterson.
