John “Blackie” Meszaros

John “Blackie” Meszaros, age 91 of Edison, died on Monday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in New Brunswick and had resided in Edison, Sayreville, and South Amboy.
He was an Ironworker with Local 373 in Perth Amboy for 25 years, where he also served on the executive board, retiring in 1971. John, along with his late wife Mary, had previously owned the Dixie Belle Inn and the Robin Hood Inn in Edison, Mel’s Lounge and Club 35 in Sayreville and Brothers III in South Amboy.
He was a graduate of Clara Barton School and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He personally erected the statue in Roosevelt Park in memory of the 9 million young men who served in the C.C.C. from 1933-1942.
In 1985 he was the President of Chapter 24 of the National Association of the C.C.C., Alumni Founder of the Fords/Clara Barton Little League, the Bonhamton A.A. Baseball Association and the Edison Township Pony League Baseball. He was founder of the Edison Social Club, co-founder of the Edison Young Democratic Club, founder of the Hungarian Social Club in New Brunswick and a member of the Edison Senior Social Club. He was also Past President of the N.J. Beverage License Association in Sayreville and South Amboy, a member of the South Amboy Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and chaired many golf tournament fund raisers for the Hospital and the brain injured children of Sayreville.
He erected the monument in Bonhamtown in memory of Bonhamtown residents who died in WWII and then added names of all servicemen who served in following wars. He was a former member of the K of C Council #426 in South Amboy and the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #784 in Perth Amboy. He was an avid golfer and golf fan and a former member of the Glenwood Country Club in Old Bridge.
His wife, Mary Simon Meszaros predeceased him in 2001.
Surviving are his sons, Melvyn Meszaros and Tuesday Murphy of South Amboy, NJ, John Meszaros, Jr. and his wife, Regina of Las Vegas, NV and Alan S. Meszaros and Maryann Owsik of Sayreville and his daughter, Rosemary J. Fedon and her husband, Randall of Madeira Beach, FL. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Nagy of Somerset, NJ and Julie Pasterak of Edison, his brother, Val Meszaros of Edison, NJ, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Rena M. Magamol

Rena M. Magamol, age 94 of Metuchen, died on Monday at Cedar Oaks Nursing Home in South Plainfield. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Metuchen for most of her life.
Mrs. Magamol was a Production Worker for Westinghouse Corporation in Edison, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and a former member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. She was also a volunteer at JFK Medical Center for 25 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Magamol who died in 1994 and her brothers, Alfred Moretti, Chelsi Moretti and Raymond Moretti.
Surviving are her sister, Mary Moretti of Fords, her brother, Victor Moretti of Monmouth Beach and her nephew, Fred Moretti of Brick.

Nancy Kulik, age 64 of Edison, died on Saturday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Newark and resided in Fords before moving to Edison 5 years ago.
Surviving are her loving husband of 15 years, Charles Kulik, her brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Sally Cagnole of New Providence, her sisters, Marion Cagnole and Patricia Cagnole of Old Bridge, six nieces and nephews and four great nieces and nephews.

M. Louise Kopacz, age 84 of Perth Amboy, died on Tuesday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.
Mrs. Kopacz was a Business Office Manager at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for 20, years retiring in 1988. She was a communicant of Holy Spirit RC Church in Perth Amboy ana a member of Holy Rosary Senior Citizens. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Kopacz who died in 2003.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Christine Kopacz of Perth Amboy, her sister, Eve Karol of Perth Amboy and her grandchildren, Vaughn and Tasha.

Charles G. Kling, Jr.

Charles G. Kling, Jr., age 85 of Edison, died on Monday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Jersey City and resided in Edison from 1956 to 1980, retiring with his wife, Edna to Culpepper, VA for 24 years. They then returned to Edison in 2004.
Charles attended the American Institute of Banking in New York City and was an Assistant Treasurer for Chase Manhattan Bank for 41 years. He was in the 8th Army Air Corps 55th Fighter Group and received the Soldier’s Medal. Charles was an avid fisherman, life long Yankees fan and a strong supporter of Hospice.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles G. Kling Sr. and Rose Kling.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Edna Anderson Kling of Edison, his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Willner of Avenel, NJ, his sons, Michael A. Kilng of Virginia Beach, VA. And Thomas S. Kling of Neptune City, NJ his grandchildren, Erik and Christina and his sister, Doris K. Ireland of Boston, VA.

John C. Kinal

John C. Kinal, age 88, died on Wednesday at his home in Dayton. He was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Fords for 35 years before moving to Dayton 18 years ago.
For 15 years Mr. Kinal owned Swan Motors, a Used Car Dealership in Linden. He also worked for various manufacturing companies as a Shipping Supervisor, the last being L’Oreal in Dayton, retiring in 1985.
He was a veteran of the Civilian Conservation Corps serving from 1937-1938.
He was predeceased by his brother, Stanley Kinal and his sisters, Angelia Kogut and Helen Meszaros.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Mary Yacina Kinal, his daughter, Nancy Kinal of Monmouth Junction, his grandchildren, Stefanie Whitefield and Scott Whitefield and his wife Bethany, his brother, Chester Kinal, his sisters, Jeanette Franko and Heddy Narlesky and many nieces and nephews.

John Guy Kimberlin

John Guy Kimberlin, age 86 of Iselin, died on Monday at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. He was born in Jersey City and had resided in Woodbridge Township for 53 years in Menlo Park Terrace and Iselin. John was a former Exxon Corporation executive, serving as the Corporate Cashier in the Treasurers Department. Previously he served in executive and management positions in the Computer Sciences Department at Exxon. He was active in the Data Processing Management Association, both at the local and international level. He was a member of the local chapter’s Board of Directors and served in the International Executive Council. He held the prestigious Certificate in Data Processing and was a recipient of the Association’s highest Individual Performance Award.
John held a BA degree in Economics from New York University and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. He was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
He was the Past President of the Menlo Park Civic Association and was a Little League baseball coach. He is the former Treasurer and Trustee of the Woodbridge Free Public Library. John served on the Woodbridge Town Council from 1992 to 1995 and served as Vice Commander of the American Legion Post 471 and President of the Iselin AARP Chapter 3810.
He was a longtime communicant of St. Cecelia’s RC Church in Iselin and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3639. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Signal Corps during WWII.
He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Marchitto Kimberlin who died in 1989.
Surviving are his sons, John G. III and his wife, Donna of South Brunswick, Keith and his significant other, Jim Frederick of Pottstown PA, Joseph and his wife, Mary Kay of Spotswood, Kevin and his wife, Mary Beth of South Brunswick and James D. and his wife, Anna of Hawthorne and his daughters, Karen Kimberlin and her husband, William Tullo of Tinton Falls, Joyce Klotz and her husband, Michael of Fanwood and Janice Binning of Bridgewater. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and his companion, LaVerne Altman.
