Dorothy Jensen
Life Dates: December 12, 1919 - September 13, 2005
Dorothy Jensen, age 85 of Mount Holly, died on Tuesday at Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Hospital. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in New Orleans for 22 years and in Metuchen moving to Mount Holly 28 years ago.
Mrs. Jensen was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family. She was a Metuchen High School graduate.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Jensen who died in 1966 and her brother, Christen L. Christensen, Jr.
Survived by: Surviving are her sons, Lawrence Jensen of Mount Holly and Robert M. Jensen of Bordentown and her grandchildren, Robert Jensen, Jr. and Andrea Lynn.
Visitation: Saturday, September 17, 2005 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Russell R. Kjersgaard
Life Dates: February 8, 1938 - September 19, 2005
Russell R. Kjersgaard, age 67of Minnisink Village, Matawan, died on Monday at Bayshore Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, Parlin and Metuchen.
Russ attended Perth Amboy Schools until he enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963. He worked for Hyatt Roller Bearing Company, a division of General Motors. He owned and operated the Triangle Diner in Perth Amboy for many years. He also worked at Best Western Hotel in Edison. Russ was always known to give a helping hand to others in need.
His daughter Sherri Kjersgaard died in 1984 and his parents Mildred and Edward are also deceased.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife, Mary Kjersgaard, his sons, Russ Kjersgaard and Melody Burrows of Old Bridge, Randy Kjersgaard and his wife, Monica of Parlin, his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Keith Hansen of Mountain Top, PA, and his grandchildren, Ryan, Keith, Kyle, Mark, Jordan and Trevor. Also surviving are his sister, Patricia Teal of South Carolina, his brothers Edward Kjersgaard of North Carolina and Robert Kjersgaard of Parlin, his stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in NJ Veteran's Cemetery.

Frank F. La Rosa, Sr.
Life Dates: October 19, 1935 - September 28, 2005
Frank F. La Rosa Sr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, with his loving and caring family by his side. He was 69 years young.
Frank was born in Settingiano, Calabria, Italy to Antonio and Giuseppina (Melina) La Rosa. He came to the United States in 1954, first to Minnesota and eventually settling in Perth Amboy, NJ, where he remained a lifelong resident.
He was employed by Anaconda for 10 years. He then owned his own fruit and vegetable store “Jimmy’s Market” on Prospect Street in Perth Amboy. In 1977, he became employed with A&P; Supermarkets as Produce Manager, working in various locations in Middlesex, Union and Somerset Counties. He retired from A&P; in 2002.after 25 years of service. For the past 43 years, he would join his friends every Tuesday night at the Italian Tripoli Club, where he was a lifetime member and bartender, to play a game of cards or Bocci Ball, two of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed making homemade wine and growing vegetables and grapes in his yard.
Upon his retirement, the greatest joy he had was watching and playing with his two grandsons. He loved taking them to the waterfront marina to watch the boats. He also enjoyed going to visit his family in Calabria every couple of years. Frank was a very kind and generous man who would do anything for his family and friends. He will always be loved and sadly missed.
He was a parishioner of Most Holy Rosary Church and member of the Holy Name Society, in Hopelawn.
He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Giuseppina La Rosa in Italy.
Survived by: Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Concetta Trapasso La Rosa, his loving and devoted children; Josephine (Jo) Buffolino and her husband Rocco of Colonia, and Frank Jr. of Perth Amboy and the two loves of his life, his adored grandsons: Matthew B. and Michael J. Buffolino. He will also be sadly missed by his loving family, his sisters: Angela Forleo and Caterina Ciambrone of Settingiano, Italy, and his brother Joseph of Perth Amboy, his extended family, including his sisters & brothers in-law, cousins and many nieces and nephews. He also has a son, Anthony F. La Rosa, of Florida.

Frances Martensen
Life Dates: March 6, 1918 - September 30, 2005
Frances Martensen, age 87 of Edison, died on Friday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Fords for 35 years moving to Edison in 1967.
Mrs. Martensen was a clerical worker for Amerada Hess in Woodbridge for 11 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords and a member of the Bonhamtown Senior Citizens Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond who died in 2002.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Albert Kober of Gilford, NH, her grandchildren, Dawn, Kristen and Alison Kober of New Hampshire and Pamela and her husband, Troy McLellan of Florida and her great-grandchildren, Kyle and Elisa McLellan of FL. Also surviving are her sister, Bernadine Skaff of Milltown, NJ, her nephews, William and Richard Skaff, Kenneth and Kevin Martensen and David Boelhow, her nieces, Karen Martensen and Priscilla Stothoff and her sister-in-law, Grace Martensen.

Catherine Martowicz
Life Dates: April 10, 1922 - September 12, 2005
Catherine Martowicz, age 83 of Hopelawn, died on Monday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Hopelawn all her life.
Mrs. Martowicz was a Housekeeper at St. Mary’s Catholic School for about 20 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Senior Citizens and The Rosary Altar Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Martowicz and her daughter, Barbara Martowicz.
Survived by: Surviving is her daughter, Eileen Martowicz.
Visitation: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 7:00-9:00 p.m.

John V. Motyczka
Life Dates: March 25, 1922 - September 17, 2005
John V. Motyczka, age 83 of Coconut Creek FL, died on Saturday at North West Regional Medical Center in Margate, FL. He was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Hillside and Fords before moving to Coconut Creek in 1975.
Mr. Motyczka was the Director of Food Service at Woodbridge State School for 28 years retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during WWII. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4955 in Pompano Beach, a 4th degree member of Council 1534, a life member of BPO Elks lodge 2004 in Springfield NJ and a member of American Legion Post 339 of Hopewell. He was also a life member of VFW Post 4141 Delray Beach, FL, a member of DAV Chapter 119 Margate, FL, a life member of the Marine Corps League Post 755 in Tamarac FL and the Civilian Conservation Corps Jefferson Barracks St. Louis, Mo.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth M. Motyczka who died in 1994, his daughters, Louise Miller who died in 1973 and Virginia Puma who died in 1995, his brothers, Charles and Frank and his sisters. Jean Rock and Emily Jenesse.
Survived by: Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Ruth M. and Don Goode of Blairsville, GA, his brother, Henry of Union, his sisters, Betty Saunders of Union, Sophie Scheuerer of Califon and Helen Hill of Illinois, his grandchildren, Tayler and husband Andres Garcia of Monroe Township and Keith Miller and his great-grandson, Andres John Garcia.

Margaret M. Reager
Life Dates: October 2, 1921 - September 19, 2005
Margaret M. Reager, age 83 of Woodbridge, NJ, died on Monday at her daughter’s residence in North Brunswick. She was born in Perth Amboy and was a resident of Woodbridge.
Mrs. Reager was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family. She was a member of St. James RC Church, Woodbridge.
Her husband, George D. Reager who died in 1982 predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her five children, William R. Reager of San Diego, CA, George D. Reager, Peggy Reager, Robert E. Reager and Patrick S. Reager, all of North Brunswick, NJ and six grandchildren.
