Mary Marie Rivello
Life Dates: February 13, 1916 – October 20, 2005
Mary Marie Rivello, age 89 of Woodbridge, died on Thursday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Woodbridge since 1977.
Mrs. Rivello was a Tube Tester at RCA in Avenel for 21 years retiring in 1976. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary RC Church in Hopelawn and a volunteer at Roosevelt Hospital for 20 years. She was also a member of the Avenel and Holy Rosary Senior Citizens.
Her husband, John P. Rivello who died in 1977 predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Edward Carhart of Edison and her grandsons, Edward Magda of Williamstown and John and his wife Donna Magda of Woodbridge. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Kristen and Michael of Woodbridge, her sisters, Rose, Antoinette, Elizabeth and Ann and her brothers, John and Lewis.
Visitation: Sunday, October 23, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral Service: Monday, October 24, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary RC Church.
Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn.

Barbara T. Scott
Life Dates: October 25, 1924 - September 21, 2005
Barbara T. Scott, age 81, died on Wednesday at her home in Perth Amboy. She was born in Georgia and had resided in Perth Amboy for the past 71 years.
Mrs. Scott was a seamstress for 30 years with the Princeton Shirt Company in Fords, retiring in 1985.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard who died in 1990, her daughter, Jean who died in 2000 and her brother-in-law, Edward A. Scott who died in 2002.
Survived by: Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Mildred of Piscataway, Clyde and Valorie of Trenton and James and Linda of Las Vegas, and her daughter, Ruth of Keasbey and her fiancee Birchfields Wells. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Rev. Thomas J. Scott and many cousins.
Visitation: Sunday, September 25, 2005 4:00-8:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ.
Funeral Service: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s RC Church, Perth Amboy.
Interment will be at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

Everett P. Tarn, Sr.
Life Dates: August 8, 1922 - September 20, 2005
Everett P. Tarn, Sr., age 83 of the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge, died on Tuesday at the NJ Veteran’s Memorial Home in Menlo Park. He was born in Newark, NJ and had been a resident of Menlo Park Terrace since 1955.
Mr. Tarn was a Heavy Equipment Oiler for Local #825, Operating Engineers in Little Falls, NJ for 25 years before retiring in 1988. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during WII.
He was predeceased by his wife Ida Francis Tarn who died in 1985 and his brother, Kenneth Tarn.
Survived by: Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Everett P. and Linda Tarn of Belleville, NJ and Richard T. and Ginny Tarn of Edison, NJ and his daughters, Shirley E. Sedlak of St. Petersburg, FL, Frances B. Lynn of Monmouth Junction, NJ, Nancy C. Hobbs of Eatontown, NJ and Kathleen K. Slavik of Avenel, NJ. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and his sister, Shirley Gesamaria of North Arlington, NJ.
Visitation: Thursday, September 22, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral Service: Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Dayton, NJ.

Nancy P. Travisano
Life Dates: October 26, 1922 - September 22, 2005
Nancy P. Travisano, age 82 of Edison, died on Thursday at Berkeley Heights Convalescent Home in Berkeley Heights. She was born in the Bronx, NY and resided in Newark for 45 years moving to Edison 33 years ago.
Mrs. Travisano was a Bookkeeper for 30 years with Alderiso Bros. in Newark, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Edison Senior Citizens.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter who died in 1992.
Survived by: Surviving are her son, Frank of Louisville KY, her daughter, Rosemary of Edison, her grandchildren, Peter and John, her brothers, Nicholas and Richard Alderiso and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, September 25, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Monday, September 26, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Helena’s RC Church, Edison.
Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

John Arthur Vaticano
Life Dates: December 7, 1924 - September 27, 2005
John Arthur Vaticano, age 80 of Forked River, died on Tuesday at Community Memorial Hospital in Toms River. He was born in Italy and had resided in Perth Amboy and Iselin before moving to Forked River 20 years ago.
Mr. Vaticano was a Lab Technician with Union Carbide in Bound Brook for 30 years until he retired in 1983. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Vaticano who died in 2004.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife, Alice Vaticano, his daughters and sons-in-law, Dona Vaticano, Esq. of Evans of Colorado, Valerie and James Brown of Toms River and Elaine and Steven Ielmini of East Brunswick. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, September 29, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Friday, September 30, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, Rev. Sean Winters officiating.

Louis J. Viel
Life Dates: December 28, 1920 - October 3, 2005
Louis J. Viel, age 84 of Edison, died on Monday at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Belluno, Italy and resided most of his life in Edison.
Mr. Viel opened Viel Accordian School in 1946 and then opened the first family owned music center in Edison in 1966 known as Lou Rose Music Center. He also owned Viel’s Bar and Restaurant on Route 27 in Edison for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. He was a member of Musicians Local 204 in Edison, the New Brunswick Elks Lodge, the Italian American Club in Edison and Highland Park, the N.R.A. and a former member of the Metuchen Country Club for 40 years. He was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Cannella.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Rose Dal Pizzol Viel, his sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony D. and Gerry Viel of Hunterdon and Louis P. Viel of Manhattan, his daughter, Linda V. Shepard of Somerset and his sisters, Florence Malyska and Stella Pensak of Edison. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Danielle R., Erica-Lee, and Dominique.
Visitation: Thursday, October 6, 2005 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Friday, October 7, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Mary A. Zsilavetz
Life Dates: January 10, 1917 - September 16, 2005
Mary A. Zsilavetz, age 88 of Perth Amboy, died on Friday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and was a life long resident of the City.
Mrs. Zsilavetz retired in 1979 from Sportswear Trophy Inc. of Perth Amboy, where she was a stainer for 6 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Zsilavetz who died in 1997, and her daughter, Geraldine Mutilitis who died in 1998.
Survived by: Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Joann Zsilavetz of Waretown NJ, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
