Rose M. Budniak
Life Dates: March 3, 1917 - February 23, 2005
Rose M. Budniak, age 87 of Edison, died on Wednesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born in Orange, NJ and was a resident of the Edison-Fords area for 50 years.
Mrs. Budniak was a Bank Officer for First National Bank of West Orange. She had been employed at First National for 30 years, before retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy, NJ.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Budniak who died in 1998, her son, John Budniak who died in 2000 and her brother, Nicholas Wojtko who died in 1987.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marcella and George Gratson of Chatsworth, CA, her grandchildren, David, Daria, Daniel and Darren, and her sisters, Anne Williams of West Orange, NJ, Mary Shadbolt of CT and Helen Pote of Gladstone, NJ. Also surviving are her daughter-in-law, Carol Budniak of Old Bridge, NJ, several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Monday, February 28, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. Service of Divine Liturgy at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, Perth Amboy.
Interment will be in Ukrainian Catholic Church of Assumption Cemetery, Hopelawn, NJ.
David M. Borrero Jr.
Life Dates: August 22, 1995 - February 8, 2005
David M. Borrero Jr., age 9 of Edison, died on Tuesday at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was born and resided in Perth Amboy moving to Edison 2 months ago.
Dave was a student at School 18 in the Iselin section of Woodbridge.
Survived by: Surviving are his father, David M. of Hopelawn, his mother, Yillian “Jenny” Perez of Edison, his brother, Noah Hunter at home, his maternal grandparents, Lauro and Yillian Perez of Hopelawn and his paternal grandparents, Efrain and Mariana Borrero of Sabastain, Puerto Rico. Also surviving are his aunt, Jacqueline Perez of Perth Amboy, his uncle, US Army Sgt. First Class, Lauro I. Perez of Fort Knox, KY and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation: Friday, February 11, 2005 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a funeral procession that will leave from the funeral home by hearse to 18 Erin Avenue, Hopelawn.
From there Dave will be transferred by horse drawn hearse to Alpine Cemetery for the interment.

Mary Margaret Collins
Life Dates: February 28, 1945 - January 25, 2005
Mary Margaret Collins, age 59 of Metuchen, died on Tuesday Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Metuchen for the past 35 years.
Mary was a Para Professional with the Metuchen Board of Education for the past 12 years. She was a communicant of St Francis Cathedral in Metuchen.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband, Donald J. Collins, her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald G. and Kathleen Collins of New Jersey, John J. and Stacy Collins of Patterson, NJ and Dennis T. and Gina Collins of Somerset, NJ her daughters, Elizabeth A. Collins of Edison and Maryellen Collins of Metuchen and her grandchildren, Joseph, Julianne, Patrick, and Grace.

Woodrow T. “Jerry” DeBockler, Sr.
Life Dates: March 12, 1918 - January 30, 2005
Woodrow T. “Jerry” DeBockler, Sr., age 86 of Perth Amboy, died on Sunday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.
Mr. DeBockler was a truck driver for 45 years at G&A; Auto Service in Perth Amboy, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Olive Street Senior Citizens in Perth Amboy and a member of DAV Chapter 29 in Fort Monmouth.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II.
Survived by: Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Tucker of Albuquerque New Mexico and Woodrow T. “Jerry” Jr. and Taryn DeBockler of Eatontown.
Funeral Service: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

John L. Deyak
Life Dates: January 26, 1916 - February 23, 2005
John L. Deyak, age 89 of Edison, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Keasbey for 35 years moving to Edison 16 years ago.
Mr. Deyak worked for 25 years in the Shipping Department of Con Lux Paint Products in Edison, retiring in 1981.
He was an avid baseball fan and played in the Middlesex County Industrial Baseball League in the 1930’s and 1940’s. He was a communicant on Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords and a member of the Fords Keasbey Senior Citizens Club.
His parents, Louis and Barbara Marinscak Deyak, his brother, Steve Deak and his sisters, Elizabeth Gurovich, Helen Schultz, Margaret Dobos, Rose Gyalog, Mary Deyak and Jeanette Lerch predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine Orsak Deyak, his daughters and son-in-law, Joan Deyak of Edison, Elaine and Robert Mezaros of Franklin Park, his grandson, Jeffrey Meszaros of Franklin Park and his fiancée, Emily Gallo, his granddaughter Jodi Brywka and her husband David of Mt. Laurel and his precious great-granddaughter, Lily. Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Joseph Davala of Lake Wales, FL, his sister-in-law, Ruth Vanco and her husband, Adolph of Edison, his brother-in-law, Charles Schultz of Perth Amboy and many nieces and nephews.

Harold Walter Frankel
Life Dates: July 20, 1921 - February 23, 2005
Harold Walter Frankel, age 83 of Metuchen, died on Wednesday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Metuchen for the last 52 years.
In 1946 Mr. Frankel joined Milton J. Guttman, Inc., a family hardware and mill supply business. He became president and owner of the corporation in 1957 until the business was sold in 1986.
From 1955 - 1957 he was program coordinator of Pennsylvania and Atlantic Seaboard Hardware Association and from 1959-1964 he was a member of the Board of Directors of Coin Hardware, Inc. a cooperative with membership of 99 stores. From1960-1964 he was a member of the Board of Directors of Dividend Hardware, the advertising and promotional division of Coin Hardware and from 1963-1964 he was president of Coin Hardware. He facilitated the merger of Coin Hardware. Inc., with American Hardware Inc., (Servistar), leading to it’s growth into a cooperative of 3600 stores.
He graduated from Michigan State University in 1942. From 1952-1955 he was a member of the Board of Directors of Temple Neve Shalom, co-chairman of the building committee and chairman of the house committee. From 1977 to the present he was a member of the Rotary Club and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Perth Amboy Economic Development Corporation from 1983-1985. He was also a member of the Perth Amboy VFW Post # 663.
From 1938-1942 he was an ROTC Cadet and commissioned an Officer with the US Calvary. From 1942-1946 he served in the US Army Air Corps. He was stationed in England and Germany and ran modification lines for aircraft in the European Theater and was also an assistant defense council for General Court Marshal. He was discharged as a First Lieutenant.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Millicent “Penny” Harrison Frankel, his son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Pamella Frankel of Lawrenceville and his daughters and sons-in-law, Shari and Richard Gelber of Newton Center, MA and Lynn Sones-Barnes and Scott of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Lori, Amy, Mitchell, Scott and Harrison and his sister, Mildred Schwalb of Edison.
Funeral Service: Friday, February 25, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with Rabbi Peter Schweitzer officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.

George Ksenic
Life Dates: April 24, 1914 - January 31, 2005
George Ksenic, age 90 of Edison, died on Monday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born and resided in Perth Amboy until moving to Edison 28 years ago.
Mr. Ksenic was a furnace man for American Furnace and Smelting and Refinery for 40 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
His wife, Walterine Mikrut Ksenic who died in 1986 predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his son, George Ksenic of Edison, his brother, Frank Ksenic of Perth Amboy, his sister, Ann Bandola of Edison and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 215 May Street, Edison, NJ.
Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
