Willie Mae Thompson, 86, of Neshanic Station, died Saturday, October 7, 2000 in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville.
Born in Louisiana, she lived in Los Angeles and Scotch Plains before moving to Neshanic Station five years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Lillie Jean Laws; two sons, Beverly Charles Thompson Jr. and Reginald Nicholas; a brother, Joseph Lecour; four sisters, Theresa Pryor, Mary Huff, Nora Taylor and Daisy Bryant; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Thompson, were held on Tuesday, October 10 at the Hillsborough Funeral Home in Belle Mead.
M. Claire Lodge, 80
M. Claire Lodge, 80, of Scotch Plains, died on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at home.
Born in Orange, she lived in Montclair before moving to Scotch Plains in 1960.
She was a bookkeeper for LeBoeuf Cleaners for 40 years before retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the Ramblers of the United Methodist Church in Plainfield.
A Mass was offered on Tuesday at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Scotch Plains.
Arrangements were handled by the Rossi Funeral Home in Scotch Plains.
Dolores Leib
Active in Various Groups; Helped to Endow Scholarship Fund
Dolores M. Leib of Bridgewater died on Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at home.
Born in Newark, she had lived in Scotch Plains for 28 years before moving to Bridgewater seven years ago.
A 1949 graduate of Union High School, she was Valedictorian of the Berkeley Secretarial School in East Orange in 1951.
Mrs. Leib was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains, the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club in Beach Haven, the Raritan Valley Country Club in Somerville, the Harbour Ridge Country Club in Stuart/ Palm City, Fla. and the Rutgers University Women’s Auxiliary.
She and her husband, Walter L. Leib, created the Dolores and Walter Leib Endowed Athletic Scholarship Fund at Rutgers University.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Donald R. Leib of Crestline, Calif.; three daughters, Caren H. Leib of Vineland, Nancy A. Kessler of Bedminster and Jennifer S. Hirschfeld of Randolph; a brother, Richard Mullin of Clark, and six grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Friday, October 6, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue in Fanwood, followed by a Mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.

Lydia Schulack
Life Dates: October 11, 1920 - July 19, 2004
Lydia Schulack, age 83, died on Monday at the Cedar Oaks Care Center in South Plainfield, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Hopelawn for 60 years.
Mrs. Shulack retired 10 years ago after 15 years as Assistant Librarian for the Woodbridge Township Public Library. She also served as Democratic Committeewoman in Hopelawn’s 2nd Ward. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1938.
She is pre deceased by her late husband, Stephen J. Schulack who died in April of 1977.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Thomas Delaney of Old Bridge, Linda Andersen of Hopelawn, and Susan and Edward Slavicek of Helmetta, and her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Gail Schulack of Toms River. Also surviving are two granddaughters and seven grandsons, her sisters, Vera Ziegler of North Carolina, and Mildred Foster and her brother John Foster, both of Toms River.

James Sak, Sr.
Life Dates: October 3, 1923 - July 8, 2004
James Sak, Sr., age 80, died on Thursday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. He was born in Hopelawn, NJ and had resided in Perth Amboy for the last 60 years.
Mr. Sak was a general maintenance person for National Lead Company in Perth Amboy for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII.
His daughter, Arlene Catherine Czapor who died in 2003 predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his son, James Sak, Jr. of Perth Amboy, his daughter, Ann Matichak of Harrington, Delaware, his brother, Albert Sak of Florida, and his grandchildren, Jason, Jaime, Jodi, and Brad. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen Masina
Life Dates: January 4, 1956 - August 6, 2004
Kathleen Masina, age 48 of Butler, NJ, died on Friday at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Carrollton, Texas moving to Butler 8 years ago.
Mrs. Masina had been a Medical Assistant with Dr. David Haacker in West Orange for the past 5 years. She was a 1974 graduate of St Mary’s High School in Perth Amboy and a graduate of A.T.I. Career Training Center in Dallas Texas where she received top honors.
Her father, Richard Roman who died in 1983 predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Waldemar Masina, her son, Mark W. Masina of Butler, her daughter, Joy Masina of Peoria IL, her mother, Marie Roman of Brick and her brother, Richard Roman of Oklahoma City. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Richard Mongioi of Farmingdale, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Chris Masina of Toms River, three nieces, Suzie, Jaime and Marisa and three nephews, Michael, Jonathan, and Matthew.

Life Dates: November 23, 1970 - August 2, 2004
Jeremy C. Markman, age 33 of Oceanside, Long Island, NY died on Monday at NYU Medical Center, New York City. Born in Plainfield, NJ he resided in Fanwood and Edison moving to Oceanside 9 years ago.
He was Vice President and founding partner of Mentorcom Systems Inc. a computer consulting company in Long Island and Westchester County. He graduated from JP Stevens High School in Edison, Class of 1988, Lehigh University with a BA in Computer Science and earned an MBA from Hofstra University.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife Stacey Glanstein, who is expecting their first child in October, his parents, Edward and Sondra Gold Markman of Edison, and his brother, Arthur Markman of Austin, TX. Also surviving are his godson, Lucas Markman and his maternal grandparents, Emanuel and Libby Gold of Long Branch, NJ.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Temple Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Avenue, Metuchen, NJ.
Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
Shiva will be observed at the Markman residence in Edison.

Helen K. Lewkowicz
Life Dates: May 1, 1922 - July 15, 2004
Helen K. Lewkowicz, age 82, died on Thursday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. She was born in and was a life long resident of Perth Amboy.
Mrs. Lewkowicz was a Supervisor at AT&T; in Perth Amboy for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s RC Church in Perth Amboy and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #4410 in Woodbridge.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband, John Lewkowicz, her sons, John T. Lewkowicz of Perth Amboy and Joseph J. Lewkowicz of Toms River, her daughter, Jo-Ann DeJohn of Iselin and her brothers, William Harth of Edison and James Harth of Perth Amboy. Also surviving are five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, July 16, 2004 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
