Anna J. Anderson
Life Dates: December 6, 1923 - August 4, 2003
Anna Anderson, age 79, died on Monday, August 4, 2003 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Fords before moving to Avenel in 1966.
Mrs. Anderson was a seamstress for many years last working for Ortem Sportswear in Avenel and retiring in 1973. She also enjoyed babysitting for many children throughout the years, the amount too numerous to mention.
Her daughter, Patricia Rooney who died in 1975, her brothers, John "Jack" Clausen and Thomas Clausen, and her sister, Helen Clausen Sisolak Borkowski predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Anderson of Woodbridge and Penny Anderson of Avenel, with whom she resided. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Justina, William and David Rooney and Jonah Behen and several nieces and nephews.

Mary A. Spampinato
Life Dates: March 20, 1903 - September 30, 2003
Mary Spampinato, age 100, died on Tuesday at her home in Perth Amboy. She was born and resided in Perth Amboy all of her life.
Mary was a retired seamstress who had worked at the Geri Price Store in Perth Amboy for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s RC Church in Perth Amboy and a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Survived by: Surviving are her sister, Mildred A. Spampinato of Matawan, and her cousins, Mary Kubinak of Hopelawn, Mark Kubinak of Asbury and Paula Ferraro of Matawan.
Visitation: Thursday, October 2, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Elsie C. Truhe
Life Dates: January 26, 1932 - September 23, 2003
Elsie Truhe, age 71, died on Tuesday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Middlesex, NJ and had resided in Edison for the past 41 years.
Mrs. Truhe was a secretary at Raritan Arsenal. She was a communicant at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen, and was active in many charitable works including organizing blood drives for the American Red Cross.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Robert J.
Truhe, Sr., her son and daughter-in-law, Robert J., Jr. and Christine Truhe of Suwanee, Ga., her grandchildren, Michele and John, her brother, Angelo Ciamacco of Middlesex and many nieces and nephews.

Peter J. Scolamiero
Life Dates: August 12, 1916 - August 28, 2003
Peter J. Scolamiero, age 87, died on Thursday in Mary Ann Hale Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
He was born in Newark and had resided in Woodbridge for the past 20 years.
Mr. Scolamiero had been a self employed Artist and Photographer for 70 years and was currently a retired. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the Woodbridge Senior Citizens and a member of Who's Who of Artists in America.
His brother, Vincent who died in 1986 and his sister, Mary who died in 1995 predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Marie Springhart Scolamiero, his brothers, Michael of Union and Mario of Belleville and his nieces, Maria Baker of Fords and Michele Sebastiano of High Bridge.
Visitation: Saturday, August 30, 2003 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Richard "Pat" Patterson
Life Dates: April 15, 1933 - October 4, 2003
Richard "Pat" Patterson, age 70, died on Saturday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Sparrows Point, Maryland and had resided in Rahway before moving to Menlo Park Terrace 32 years ago.
Mr. Patterson worked as a Chemical Operator for Convertor's Ink in Linden for 35 years before retiring in 1935.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and had been stationed in New London, Connecticut.
His parents, Joab and Vanetta Shiflett Patterson predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 50 years, MaryAnn Harris Patterson, his daughters, MaryAnn Meka of Iselin, Janice Hawley of Jackson, and Teresa Patterson of Manville, his sons, Richard A. Patterson of Menlo Park Terrace, and Joseph Patterson of Mt. Arlington, his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Veronica Patterson Edgemere, MD, and his sister, Viola L. Buschong of Manassas, VA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Linda, Kevin and Jennifer Hawley, Michelle, Pamela and KellyAnne Meka, Jeffrey R. Watt and Joseph and Christopher Patterson and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene C. Czapor
Life Dates: November 14, 1948 - September 22, 2003
Arlene C. Czapor, age 54, died on Monday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided there until moving to Fords 28 years ago.
Mrs. Czapor had worked at Exxon Oil as an Administrative assistant until 1985 and most recently as an instructor at JFK Hospital Rehabilitation Center. She was a communicant and a member of the Rosary Society and Columbiettes of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. She was also a member of the Fords Women's Club, St. Cecilia RC Church Folk Music Ministry and St. Francis Cathedral prayer groups.
She had graduated Perth Amboy High School in 1966 and then attended Middlesex Community College and Kean College. As certified New Jersey Teacher, Arlene's life's call was making all those whom she met happy. She was happy teaching children at St. Cecelia's RC Church CCD classes.
She found great joy in her nieces and nephews and loved her dogs Namu and Buttons. Her greatest pleasure was time she shared with her husband horseback riding, sailing and climbing Mt. Washington together.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Francis Czapor, her mother, Ann Wiczai of Edison, her father, James Sak of Perth Amboy, her brother, James Sak of Perth Amboy, and her sister, Ann Matichak of South Carolina.

Mindy Ruth Driscoll
Life Dates: July 17, 1954 - October 6, 2003
Mindy Ruth Driscoll, age 49, died on Monday at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and resided there until moving to Avenel in 1971.
Mrs. Driscoll was currently an Administrative Assistant at Merck & Company in Rahway, where she had worked since 1979. She was a graduate of Colonia High School, Class of 1972 and also attended Middlesex Community College in Edison.
Her parents, Ralph and Kay Grossman and her sister, Sharon Luettchau predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Gerard "Gary" V. Driscoll, her sister, Linda Beckman of Avenel, her niece, Stacey Taylor, her nephew, Ryan Beckman and her great-niece, Kierstyn Skye Taylor.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home at 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, Rabbi Milton Kula officiating.
Burial will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Gerard V. Driscoll in Avenel, NJ on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 and Thursday, October 9, 2003.
