Anna Petrenka Balog
Life Dates: July 18, 1916 - March 30, 2003
Anna Balog, age 86, died on Sunday at St Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. Mrs. Balog was a seamstress for Charles Komar and Son in Perth Amboy for 25 years retiring in 1978.
She was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy and a founding member of the St. Ann's Society and the Senior Citizens at the church.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Balog who died in 1974, her son, Leonard who died in 1975, her brothers, Joseph, Stephen and Walter Petrenka and her sister, Mary.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughter, Roseann Winkler of Fords, her sisters, Sophie Ferioli of Port Reading and Rose Tarantino of Perth Amboy, her brother, John Petrenka of Emmaus PA and two granddaughters, Lisa and Beth.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 2, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-900 p.m.
Parastas Service will be at 7:30 pm

Funeral Service: Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 9:00 a.m.followed by a 9:30 a.m. Service of Divine Liturgy at the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Catherine M. Rapack
Life Dates: October 22, 1917 - August 15, 2002
Catherine Rapack, age 84, died on Thursday at Troy Hills Center in Parsippany. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Fords for most of her life before moving to Flanders in 1986.
Mrs. Rapack was a homemaker devoting her time to her family. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords and a parishioner of St. Jude's RC Church in Budd Lake.
She was predeceased by husband, Andrew Rapack who died in 1979, and her sister, Augusta McDonough.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughter, Judy Ann Adam of Flanders, her two grandchildren, Lee Robert Adam, of Lansing, Michigan and Chris Anne Adam of Budd Lake, and her two great-grandchildren, Kaytlyn Leigh Adam and Grace Elizabeth Adam. Also surviving are her brother, William McDonough of Whiting, her sister, Alice Trotter of Hollywood, Florida, and her cousin, Anita Moczynski.

Dorothy "Dolly" Stack
Life Dates: August 29, 1912 - August 13, 2002
Dorothy Stack, age 89, died on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was born in Walhalla, ND and resided for most of her life in Bayonne before moving to Fords for 30 years and then East Brunswick.
Mrs. Stack worked as a cook for Cavanaugh's Tavern in Bayonne.
She was predeceased by her husband, John who died in 1958.
Survived by: Surviving are her son, William of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and James Kennedy of East Brunswick, two grandchildren, Susan Kennedy McDowell and her husband Kevin and James Kennedy and his wife Eileen. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Molly McDowell, Aidan McDowell, Grace Kennedy and Daniel James Kennedy.

Gerhard "Gary" Krafft
Life Dates: June 3, 1941 - July 29, 2002
Gerhard Krafft, age 61, died on Monday at his home in Manahawkin. He was born in Remscheid, Germany and had resided in Fords and Union for the past 30 years, moving to Manahawkin several months ago.
Mr. Krafft retired in 1986 from the Torelco Company in Livingston where he was a coil winder.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mathilde Krafft who died in 1999 and his sister, Ellen Krafft Jones.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Patricia L. Kogut Krafft, his sons, Daniel of Cliffwood Beach and Gary of Roselle Park, and his granddaughter, Emily.

Jenny Gandy
Life Dates: June 23, 1926 - August 10, 2002
Jenny Gandy, age 76, died on Saturday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in and resided her entire life in Perth Amboy.
Mrs. Gandy worked in the Dietary Department at Raritan Bay Medical Center. She was a member of Holy Spirit Alter Rosary Society, Holy Spirit Senior Citizens and the Ladies Auxiliary Hopelawn VFW 1352. She was predeceased by her brother, Martin Juarez and her sister, Mary Zec.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Anton Gandy, her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Carol Gandy of Ira, VT, her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Robert Browne of Fords, four grandchildren, Cara and Jami Gandy and Paul and David Browne. Also surviving are her brothers, Raymond Juarez of Perth Amboy and Joseph Juarez of Carteret, and several nieces and nephews.

Vincent J. Snee
Life Dates: October 11, 1956 - June 10, 2002
Vincent Snee, age 45, died on Monday at his home in Fords, NJ. He was born in Newark, NJ and had been a resident of Fords for the past 16 years.
Mr. Snee was employed at OneSource, Newark, NJ as a Plumber. He was the former maintenance man of 11 years at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords, NJ.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree at Our Lady of Peace in Fords and a member of the Plumbers Union Local #68 of W. Caldwell, NJ.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael Snee who died in 1987 and his sister, Joanne Snee who died in 2001.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Wendy Swanick Snee, his daughter, Bridget E. Snee of Fords, his son, Joseph V. Snee of Fords, his brothers, Edward Snee of Montrose, PA, Joseph W. Snee of Edison, NJ and William J. Snee of South Amboy, NJ, and his sisters, Elizabeth Philipone of Rahway, NJ, Eileen Kratzel of Woodbridge, NJ, Theresa Snee of Woodbridge, NJ and Julie Miranda of Woodbridge, NJ. Also surviving are twenty-one nieces and nephews.

Clemente Rivera
Life Dates: January 23, 1951 - June 13, 2002
Clemente Rivera, age 51, died on Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Scranton Pennsylvania.
He was born in Cayay, Puerto Rico and had resided in Perth Amboy for 33 years before moving to Tobyhanna 7 years ago.
Mr. Clemente worked as a maintenance supervisor with Frigidaire in Edison for 25 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War.
Survived by: Surviving are his daughters, Cassandra Rivera-Carter of Perth Amboy and Angelique Rivera-Guerrero of Perth Amboy, his step-children Enory, Stephanie and Anthony, and his fiancee Margarita Hernandez of Tobyhanna.
Also surviving are his brothers, Moises of Woodbridge and David of Puerto Rico, his sisters, Sarah and Ana Rivera of Puerto Rico and Esther Rivera of Queens NY, and four grandchildren, Jordan, Karina, Matthew and Vanessa.

Karen Ann Kozna
Life Dates: April 16, 1954 - May 28, 2002
Karen Kozna, age 48, died on Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, after a 7 month battle with Cancer.
She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and had resided in Sewaren for the past 27 years.
Ms. Kozna had worked in the Communications Department at Raritan Bay Medical Center for the past 7 years. What she enjoyed most in life was spending happy times with her family and friends. She was an artist at heart and appreciated the beauty nature had to offer.
She was predeceased by her brother, Christopher Counterman.
Survived by: Surviving are her daughters, Holly Kozna of Carteret and Dawn Kozna of Elizabeth, her grandson, Christopher, her mother, Claire Counterman of Rahway and her sisters, Hope O'Hara of Woodbridge and Donna Lep of Rahway.
Visitation: Thursday, May 30, 2002 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Friday, May 31, 2002 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
