Born in East Orange, she lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Freehold six years ago.
Mrs. Leonardis was a line inspector for Lionel Trains in Hillside for 20 years until 1967.
Surviving are a son, Archie Leonardis; a daughter, Kathleen Freeman; a sister, Mary Jockel; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, August 2, in St. Thomas More Church in Manalapan.
Arrangements were handled by the Freeman-Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home in Manalapan.

Former Owner Of Apriceno Jewelers in Westfield
Rosina DiBattisa Apriceno, 76, of Scotch Plains died on Sunday, August 1, 1999 in Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born in Berwick, Pa., she was raised in Cranford and lived in Scotch Plains for the last 42 years.
Mrs. Apriceno was the owner of Apriceno Jewelers in Westfield for 20 years before retiring in 1998.
She was a active member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation Suburban Chapter and a member of The Woman's Club of Scotch Plains.
She attended the School of Millinery in New York City.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Dominick Apriceno; her son, Chris Apriceno of Yardley, Pa., her daughters, Nancy Kraemer of Tewksbury and Carol D'Aniello of Alexandria Township; her sisters, Elizabeth Leonard, Grace DiBattista and Nan Zilkowski; her brother, James DiBattista and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, August 4, at St. Bernard's Church in Plainfield.
Interment was held at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Arrangements were handled by the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue, Cranford.
Memorial donations may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation.

Was Teacher's Assistant at Local Grammar School
Catherine P. Hayes, 75, of Scotch Plains died on Sunday, August 1, 1999 at home.
Born in Lissoy, Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland, she lived in New York City before moving to Scotch Plains in 1958.
Mrs. Hayes was a teacher's assistant at the Tamaques Elementary School in Westfield for the past 10 years.
She was a member of the Monday Morning Club in Westfield.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Rump and Kathleen Onieal and five grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, August 4, in St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Scotch Plains.

Viola Ricciuti, 80
Former Chef At Arrow Lounge, Scotch Plains
Viola Ricciuti, 80, of Seaside Park died on Friday, July 30, 1999 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Born in New York City, she lived in Plainfield and Scotch Plains before moving to Seaside Park in 1997.
Mrs. Ricciuti was a chef at her family restaurant, Arrow Lounge in Scotch Plains, for 20 years before retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Athletic Booster Club and the Scotch Plains Little League.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Ricciuti, in 1987.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Ricciuti; a son, Frank Ricciuti of Westfield; two daughters, Michele Immordino of Seaside Park and Valarie Fisher of Scotch Plains; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held today, Thursday, August 5, at 11:30 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.

Dental Assistant In Clinton; Grandmother of Seven
Mary L. Farrell, 76, of Clinton died on Saturday, July 31, 1999 in the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township.
Born in Chicago, she lived in Plainfield, Fanwood and Lebanon before moving to Clinton 15 years ago.
Mrs. Farrell was a dental assistant in Clinton.
She was a member of the Hunterdon County Board of Elections.
She was a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she received a degree in music education.
Mrs. Farrell was predeceased by her husband, Frank E. Farrell, in 1967 and her parents, Edward and Faye Burt Legier.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Farrell of Califon, Michael Farrell of Simsbury, Conn, and Robert Farrell of Annandale; a brother, Jack Legier of St. Albans, Vt. and seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 6, at noon in the Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale.
Interment will be private in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.

John H. Seabrook, 61
History Professor, Special Assistant at Essex County College
John H. Seabrook, 61, of Westfield died on Sunday, August 1, 1999 at home.
Born in Grand Rapids, Mich, he lived in Newark before moving to Westfield 37 years ago.
Mr. Seabrook was special assistant for planning and institutional advancement to Essex County College President A. Zachary Yamba.
He was also a history professor at the college, where he was employed for 30 years.
He was the director of the Newark Educational Partnership and Project Graduation in Newark.
He was past president of the Greater Watchung Nature Club of Scotch Plains and he was involved in environmental and conservation issues.
Mr. Seabrook was a curate of Grace Episcopal Church in Newark.
He graduated from North Texas University and earned a Master's Degree in Theology from General Seminary in New York City and a Doctoral Degree in History from Rutgers University.
Surviving are his wife, Ginny Seabrook; a son, Jack C. Seabrook; a daughter, Susie Huva and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 4, in All Saints Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains.
Arrangements were handled by the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home in Clark.

Ida Schmid, 96, of Mountainside, died on Sunday, August 1, 1999 in the Manor Care Nursing Home in Mountainside.
Born in Bergenfield, Germany, she came to the United States and settled in Mountainside 35 years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Gunther Schmid and Carl Schmid; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Gerald McCarthy, 67
Gerald McCarthy, 67, of Howell Township died on Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at home.
Born in Paterson, he had lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Howell Township 14 years ago.
Mr. McCarthy owned the GM Paving Company in Scotch Plains for 27 years.
He was a Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council No. 10005 in Farmingdale.
Surviving are his wife, Mary McCarthy; four sons, Michael McCarthy, Gerald McCarthy, Jr., Thomas McCarthy and Edward Kertes; two daughters, Sharon Keiffer and Sheryl Claus; a sister, Mary Joan Gunderman and seven grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, August 6, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Veronica's Church in Howell Township.
