Angela L. Bonnetti, 96
Angela L. Nigro Bonnetti, 96, of Westfield died on Thursday, November 18, 1999 at home.
Born and raised in Charlestown, Mass., she moved to Westfield 72 years ago.
Mrs. Bonnetti was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, John H. Bonnetti.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur J. Bonnetti of Fanwood and Robert J. Bonnetti of Westfield; two sisters, Victoria Marbela and Josephine Nigro, both of Massachusetts; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Westfield on Saturday, November 20.
Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Arrangements were handled by the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Avenue in Westfield.
Bernice Sellner, 84
Bernice Schleret Sellner, 84, of Doylestown, Pa. died on Sunday, November 21, 1999 at Doylestown Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, N.Y., she had lived in Scotch Plains for 12 years, in Campbell Hall, N.Y. and in Flemington from 1986 to 1998 before moving to Doylestown a year ago.
Mrs. Sellner had been a school teacher for approximately 30 years before retiring in 1974.
She taught in Syracuse and at the Coles School in Scotch Plains for 12 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Sellner, in 1985, and by a sister, Norma Riano, in 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Gail Burgess of Neshanic Station and Karen Sin of Forest Knolls, Calif.; two sisters, Vera Heppeler and Marion Chipps, both of Syracuse; a brother, Robert Schleret of Liverpool, N.Y.; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at 2 p.m. at the North Branch Reformed Church, 203 Route 28, Bridgewater.
Arrangements are being handled by the Branchburg Funeral Home in Branchburg.

Deborah Greenspan, 37
Was Founder Of Internet Site to Help the Disabled
Deborah Greenspan, 37, of Westfield died on Friday, May 26, 2000 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
Born in Newark, she had lived in Elizabeth before moving to Westfield.
Ms. Greenspan was the founder of the Disability Electronic Network, an Internet resource information center for disabled individuals around the country, which she operated from 1994 to 1998.
She was a 1981 graduate of David Brearley High School in Kenilworth.
In addition, she earned a degree in special education from Kean College in Union, now Kean University, and was a member of Alpha Pheta Pi.
She was predeceased by her father, Jack Greenspan, three years ago.
Surviving are her mother, Ruth Greenspan of Westfield, and two sisters, Judy Greenspan of Berkeley, Calif. and Mindy Greenspan of Maplewood.
Services were held on Monday, May 29, in Temple Sharey Tefilo Israel of South Orange.

LeeRoy Rush, Sr., 69
LeeRoy Rush, Sr., 69, of Westfield died on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Paterson.
Born on January 12, 1931 to Alfonzo and Mildred Rush in Charlottesville, N. C., he relocated to Westfield 46 years ago.
Mr. Rush had been employed at United Bank for many years before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church in Westfield, where he served on the usher board and was a Trustee.
He was also a member of the Westfield Police Reserve and the United National Bowling League.
He was predeceased by his son, LeeRoy Rush, Jr., earlier this year.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley G. Rush, whom he married in 1954; a son, Glenn V. Rush of New York; a sister, Mildred M. Harrison of Esmont, Va., and a brother, Rodney Rush, also of Virginia.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 29, at St. Luke Church, with the Reverend Leon Randall officiating.
Services were handled by the Plinton-Curry Funeral Home in Westfield.
Karl Samse, 86
Decorated Veteran; Was Part of First Waves at Normandy
Karl A. Samse, 86, of South Yarmouth, Mass., formerly of Fanwood, died on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at his home.
Born and raised in Weehawken, he moved from Fanwood to South Yarmouth in 1982.
Mr. Samse had been a salesman with the Alcoa Aluminum Company of America in the Wearever division for 38 years before retiring in 1979.
He joined the United States Army in 1942 and served in England.
One of the first waves to land in Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944, he received the Bronze Star Medal, the French Croix de Guere, the American Defense Service Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal.
He received an associate degree from Rutgers University.
While in Fanwood, Mr. Samse was a member of the Republican Committee.
He was also a member of the National Guard Essex Troop Calvary in West Orange.
Mr. Samse was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ryan Samse; a son, Mark J. Samse of Hopewell; a daughter, Norris McCaughey of Pawtucket, R. I., and three grandsons.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 30, in St. Pius X Church.
Interment followed in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Thomas F. DiOrio, 53
Army Veteran; Was Executive and du CRET Teacher
Thomas F. DiOrio, 53, of Fanwood died on Thursday, May 25, 2000 at home.
Born in New York, he had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Fanwood 29 years ago.
Mr. DiOrio worked for the David H. Block Advertising and Marketing Company in Verona for 18 years as Vice President in charge of production.
He also taught at the du CRET School of the Arts in Plainfield.
Mr. DiOrio attended the University of Maryland and was awarded a degree in commercial arts from New York City Technical College.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine DiOrio; two daughters, Nancy Nocera and Jennifer DiOrio, and two sisters, Frances Beach and Marie Mavros.
A Mass was offered on Tuesday, May 30, in St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains, following the funeral from the Rossi Funeral Home, also in Scotch Plains.
Janet Bigelow, 91
Former Teacher; Member of St. Helen’s and AARP
Janet Bigelow, 91, of Westfield died on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at Rahway Hospital in Rahway.
Born in Bayonne, she lived in Westfield since 1947.
Mrs. Bigelow had been a first-grade teacher at the former LaGrande School in Fanwood for 30 years before retiring many years ago.
She was a graduate of Kean College in Elizabeth. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and a communicant of St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Church in Westfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Arthur C. Bigelow, United States Air Force, in 1988, and by a daughter, Barbara A. Bigelow, in 1998.
Surviving are a son, Arthur C. Bigelow, Jr. of Georgetown, Ky.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Liturgy was offered on Friday, May 26, at St. Helen’s Church.
Interment will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Olga K. Tarenc, 78
Olga K. Kostuk Tarenc, 78, of Readington Township died on Monday, May 29, 2000 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township.
Born in Plainfield to Walter and Pauline Fall Kostuk, she had lived in Fanwood before moving to Readington Township 19 years ago.
Mrs. Tarenc had been employed as a chief clerk in the engineering department at Bell Telephone Company in Woodbridge for 41 years before retiring in 1987.
She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers in New Brunswick.
Mrs. Tarenc was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, a member of the Borzoi Club of America and a member of the Heart of American Borzoi’s Club in Kansas.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley Tarenc, and a son, Kenneth DiNanato of Carteret.
Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 2, at the Countryside Funeral Home in Three Bridges, followed by a 9 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, June 1, at the funeral home.
