ANN K. SCHAFER GILDEA, 58, of Sayreville died Oct. 31 in Maryann Hale Hospice Pavilion and Haven Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, John Gildea; three sons, John Gildea of South River, Jim Gildea of Franklin Park and Christopher Gildea of Sayreville; a daughter, Lorraine Mulcahy of Old Bridge; a brother, Raymond Schafer of Maryland; and two granddaughters. Services were arranged by Kurzawa Funeral Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
JOHN E. KROSNOWSKI, 69, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of Sayreville, died Oct. 30 at home. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Krosnowski; a son, John E. Jr. of Sayreville; two daughters, Deborah Jones of Monroe and Pamela Saunders of Sayreville; two sisters, Mary Ann LaGola and Dorothy Kulick; and three grandchildren. A service was held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a memorial Mass planned for Nov. 14 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
of cremains will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
CECIL A. LETTS, 85, of Morganville died Oct. 15 at home. Born in South Amboy, she lived there before moving to Marlboro 25 years ago. She was an administrative assistant for Pittanney Arsenal for 40 years upon retirement in 1970. She was a communicant of Christ Church, South Amboy, and was active with many arts groups. She is survived by three cousins, John Letts of Sayreville, Thomas Kvist of South Amboy, and Elaine Parrish of Middletown. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Mass was celebrated at Christ Church, South Amboy. Interment
was at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
MARY CURRY ACKERMAN, 78, of East Brunswick died Nov. 2 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Melvin, died in 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Ackerman of East Brunswick and Marilyn Rodgers of Milltown; a brother, Alexander E. Curry of Fort Rutger, Ala.; a sister, Dorothy Mataro of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
JOHN BORAK, 95, of South River died Nov. 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Shkoda Borak; a daughter, Janice Meade of South River; two sons, John Borak of Phoenix, Md., and Robert Borak of East Brunswick; a sister, Olga Holod of South River; three brothers, Dr. Peter Borak of Palm Springs, Calif., Dr. Walter Borak of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Paul Borak of South River; and five grandchildren. LYDIA BLONSKY BURTON, 72, of Mantoloking, formerly of South River, died Nov. 1 in Community Hospital, Toms River section of Dover. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a schoolteacher by the South River Board of Education. Her husband, Harry Burton died in 1997. Surviving are a son, Harry Burton Jr. of Michigan; two daughters, Phyllis Tozzi of Maryland and Nancy Snyder of Lakewood; and seven grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, South River. Interment

CHARLES DVORZSAK, 80, of Spotswood died Oct. 31 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Deutsch Dvorzsak; a daughter, Judy Legal of Spotswood; two sons, Charles Dvorzsak of North Carolina and Anthony Dvorzsak of Chicago; a brother, Lesley Dvorzsak; and seven grandchildren.
