MILDRED WHITE, 80, of Jamesburg died Oct. 30 in Monroe Village Health Care Center. Her husband, Arthur White Jr., died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Joseph White of Jackson; two daughters, Cheryl Soback of Ocean Grove and Karen Ellsworth of Nebraska; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Clayton and Son Funeral Home, Howell, with a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
HENRY WINTJEN, 90, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood, died Oct. 31 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. His wife, Emily Schuster Wintjen, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Lawson of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; a son, Donald Wintjen of West Chester, Pa.; a brother, Albert Wintjen of Fair Lawn; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with services at Nativity Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. MARILYN HYDRUSKO ZANGARA, 52, of Spotswood died Oct. 31 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are a son, Robert of Metuchen; a daughter, Caitlin of Spotswood; her mother, Jessie Olsiewski Hydrusko of Spotswood; and a sister, Patricia Kiernan of Monroe. HELEN STAFFA BAFFINO, 88, of Old Bridge died June 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Francis Baffino, died in 1998. ESTELLE LEVANDOWSKI STURGIS, 91, of Jackson died June 27 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Born in South Amboy, she lived in Jackson for the past 17 years. She was employed as a waitress at Ye Cottage Inn, Keyport, for 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Ira C. "Bud" Sturgis, in 1999; her sons, Raymond and Robert Leonard; a brother, Charles Levandowski; and sisters, Frances Busch and Mary Paradowski. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Julia Leonard of South Amboy; stepson Ronald and daughter-in-law Betty Sturgis of South Amboy; stepson John and daughter-in-law Chris Sturgis of South Amboy; stepson Wayne Sturgis of Atlantic City; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
