CLAIRE EPSTEIN MUELLER, 87, of Monroe died Nov. 15 at home. Her husband, Herbert Mueller, died in 1988, and a daughter, Gladys Levine, died in 1994. Surviving are a son, Julian Mueller of Seattle, and six grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.
DAVID BRIAN NOVAK, 27, of Malvern, Pa., formerly of Spotswood, died Nov. 13 in Paoli Hospital, Malvern. Surviving are his wife, Victoria Tava Novak; his parents, Joan Novak of Cranbury and Edward Novak of Spotswood; three brothers, Jeffrey Novak of Brick and Kevin Novak and Daniel Novak, both of Spotswood; a sister, Karen Daniele of Brick; and a goddaughter. A Mass was offered at Queenship of Mary Church, Plainsboro. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
JEAN LYNCH STERN, 72, of North Brunswick died Nov. 25 at The Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Parlin, she lived in Whitehouse Station for 30 years prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1995. She was a homemaker and retired employee of Johnson & Johnson. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Whitehouse Station. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Lynch, in 1999. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Samuel Stern of North Brunswick; three sons, Al Stern of North Brunswick, Barry Stern of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, and Stuart Stern of Deerfield, Fla.; three daughters, Johanna Pomparelli of Hillsborough, Debra Stern of Whitehouse Station, and Carol Aldrich of Bridgewater; five sisters, Colleen Kovach and Jerrie Knappenberger, both of North Brunswick, Dorothy Toomey of Cranbury, Laura Sheehan of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, and Loretta Berenyi of Charleston, S.C.; four brothers, John Lynch of Stewartsville, James Lynch of Parlin, William Lynch of Tobyhanna, Pa., and Thomas Lynch of Helmetta; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Cecelia’s Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Burial was at Oaklawn Memorial Park, South Brunswick.
MANUEL J. GARCIA, 55, of Carteret died Nov. 23 at home. Surviving are a son, Richard of Florida; and two sisters, Ann Powers of North Brunswick and Vickie Fox of Houston, Texas. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
ROBERT E. HUTCHINSON, 60, of East Brunswick died Nov. 20 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was a self-employed custom carpenter for Hutchinson Contracting, East Brunswick, for 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Cruger Hutchinson; two sons, Robert C. of the New Egypt section of Plumsted and Richard H. of Sayreville; a daughter, Barbara A. Newton of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey; his father, Harvey Hutchinson of Cranbury; five brothers, Harvey of Naples, Fla., Richard and Leroy, both of Cranbury, John of Trenton and George of the Dayton section of South Brunswick; a sister, Dorothy Thompson of Hightstown; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.
SEVERIN GOLOJUCH, M.D., 77, of Freedom, Pa., formerly of South River, died Nov. 25 in St. Francis Hospital, Cranbury Township, Pa. He practiced medicine as an obstetrician and gynecologist in New Brunswick for many years. He was a past president of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Surviving are his wife, Frances Torek Golojuch; a son, Thomas Golojuch of Arlington, Va.; two daughters, Susan Golojuch of Connecticut and Carolyn Golojuch of Green Brook; a sister, Cecilia Sergel of East Brunswick; a brother, Chester Golojuch of South River; and three grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Nov. 30 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment
will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation; St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church Renovation Fund, South River; or to the Rutgers University Fund, New Brunswick.
GEORGE STEWART SIGLE, 74, of Jamesburg died Dec. 20 at home. Born in South Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a farmer and the owner of Claire’s Farm Market, South Brunswick, He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent and Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Claire (nee Ryan); three daughters, Barbara Kissling of Monroe, Deborah Sigle at home and Georgette Motyka of Jamesburg; a brother, Edward of Old Bridge; a sister, Frances Neff of Jamesburg; and three grandchildren. A funeral Mass was offered at St. James Church, Jamesburg, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
DOMINICK PIZZIMENTI, 86, of East Brunswick died Dec. 21 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Calabria, Italy, he came to the United States in 1929, settling in Brooklyn, N.Y. He moved to East Brunswick in 1986. He was the owner of Premier Meat Market, Ozone Park, Queens, N.Y. for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the founder of the East Brunswick Senior Citizens Bocci Club. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joy Russo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances (nee Onemma); a son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Susan Pizzimenti of Suffern, N.Y.; a son-in-law, Vincent Russo of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Larry Cirillo of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Gilda Pizzimenti of Staten Island; two sisters-in-law, Rose Pizzimenti and Josephine Pizzimenti; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Mass of Christian burial was offered at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, East Brunswick, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
GLORIA DONATO, 71, of South River, died Dec. 20 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in South Amboy, she lived in South River most of her life. A member of the National Rifle Association and a South River committeewoman for many years, she was retired from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Association, having served for many years a sheriff’s officer. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, who died in 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Gloria; three sons, Joseph A., Gary and William; her mother, Dorothy Primka Kern; two sisters, Clara and Joan; a brother, William; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stephen’s Protomartyr Church in South River and entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, offerings may be sent to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Chemotology or Oncology department, or the Make A Wish Foundation.
