ELIZABETH R. CASHMAN HAYDEN, 90, of Keansburg died July 21 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, she lived there and in North Middletown before moving to Keansburg in 1993. She was a clerk at Furst Stationery, Red Bank, for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church in North Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Hayden, in 1990. She is survived by two sons, Howard Hayden of Middletown, and Donald Hayden of Long Branch; a daughter, Barbara Fitzpatrick of Hazlet; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services were arranged by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, with a Mass at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Interment

PAUL THOMAS ROWLEY, 31, of Keyport died July 23 at home. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Keyport all his life. He is survived by his father, Peter, and mother Joan O’Donnell Rowley of Matawan; two brothers, Peter Rowley of Austin, Texas, and Patrick Rowley of Huntville, Texas; a sister, Patricia Rowley of Toms River; one niece; and four nephews. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport.
FREDERICK W. NUSE, 91, of Matawan died July 24 at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Newark, he previously lived in Cedar Grove, before moving to Matawan 30 years ago. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Livingston, for 34 years before retiring in 1963. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Cheesequake Republican Club and the Cheesequake Seniors. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gardam Nuse of Matawan; a daughter, Joan Failing of Whippany; two sons, John E. Nuse of West Orange, and Frederick Nuse Jr.; two sisters, Catherine R. Nuse and Marie Dickison, both of Verona; and four grandchildren. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. JEANNE ARMELLINO, 75, of Matawan died July 25 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Huntington, W.Va., she lived in North Carolina before moving to Matawan 52 years ago. She and her husband Victor owned and operated the Town Tavern in Matawan for 13 years. She was a bookkeeper with Peterson & Steager, Keyport, for three years before retiring in 1998. She was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor, in 1998. She is survived by three sons, Victor Armellino Jr. of Spotswood, Philip Armellino of Matawan, and Gary Armellino of Morganville; and seven grandchildren. Services were arranged by Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Burial was at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
LILLIAN EDITH MANTON GOODWIN, 86, of Holmdel died July 27 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she previously lived in Middletown and River Edge. She worked for Bamberger’s in Hackensack for 20 years, as well as Huffman Koos in North Hackensack as a switchboard operator, before retirement in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, and was a member of the River Edge Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Tomasso Plaza Tenants Association of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Goodwin, in 1998, and a son, James Goodwin, in 1984. She is survived by two sons, George Goodwin of West Milford, and Robert Goodwin of Lambertville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Rich Huett of Boca Raton, Fla., Barbara and Bob Conlon of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Pat and Dick Gage of Monmouth Beach; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. CARL E. BARRY, 81, of Holmdel died July 27 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived there and in Lakewood before moving to Holmdel. He was a claims adjuster for Royal Globe Insurance Co., N.Y., for 15 years before retiring in 1983. Prior to that he was a New York City police officer for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the New Monmouth section of Middletown. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gertrude Clifford Barry of Holmdel; two sons, Michael Barry of Brooklyn, and Charles Barry of Middletown; and five grandchildren. DANIEL J. COLEMAN, 56, of Keansburg died July 28 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, he lived there until moving to Keansburg 29 years ago. He was a vice president for Equitable Life Assurance Co., Secaucus, for the past 39 years. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. He is survived by his wife, Patricia E. Landrigan Coleman, Keansburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Joanna Coleman of Hatboro, Pa.; two daughters, Cara Bartucci of North Middletown, and Stephanie Coleman of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Edward Coleman of Chappaqua, N.Y., and Stephen Coleman of Bulkhead City, Ariz.; a sister, Ann Touhy of South Salem, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. KEVIN P. HARAN, 19, of Middletown died July 29 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived there before moving to Middletown 16 years ago. He was a student at Ramapo College in Mahwah. He was a communicant of St. Agnes’ Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands, and a 1999 graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel. He was active in the BYAA Baseball League.
